Why some apps are not even visible in My phone's Play store which are visible in other phone with same OS.
Like I have installed smoothie ICS V.1 and my friend has normal ICS.
What makes them invisible? What is the solution?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda app-developers app
It depends on your phone. Some of the apps are not compatible with your phone so Google Play wont show them.
But I was using YouTube Gtalk and other apps previously on my phone but as and when I flashed Smoothies ICS on my phone they vanished.. Smoothies ICS has gapps with the package. But I am not able to see several apps like gtalk and YouTube. Tapatalk

it may be that the gapps package you downloaded was missing some gapps
try installing these ones
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796675
if that didn't work it may be the fact your rom doesn't support these apps
click thanks if helped
Done that.. but I have Gtalk icon but it is not working.. anyway thanks for your prompt reply bro.. should I flash another ROM I want features.. apps.. I hardly use my phone for gaming.. is invador ICS RC 5 is good? Please suggest some nice rom for me.. thanks again.

Don't know if you've tried this but go to settings> applications> all applications find the play store and clear the cache that's what I had to do on my previous phone

Alternative : If for Flashing ROM, we always have CWM which is reliable. For taking backups, you can use Titanium. Even CWM do a nandroid backup. Hope for these two features, you are looking for ROM manager.
Here is the leaked keyboard from 4.2
http://mirrorstack.com/i8focpc0c7ll
tested and worked om ics and jelly bean
install it as normal app then go to input language and chose the keyboard without any edite
Excellent. So much better than swipe used to be. This is the major evolution I saw so far and I can say that it's well done.
I guess CROM could consider put this keyboard by default.
I love this keyboard!!!!!!

You need at least ICS and above to work. That is what I read in news articles.

I think it's trying to update your already existing android keyboard. Try to install it after removing(un installing) this old keyboard first by romtool box or titanium backup or some other root app.

Actually new AOSP 4.2 keyboard is now available in Google play. Just search it by "AOSP 4.2 keyboard".
It has been developed by xda developer.

Odd that it says that. I wish I had an answer for you man. You said you restored them from rom toolbox... So it still shows up like that? Does it do the same with the play store app installed?

Yea I saw the screenshots. I use both titanium backup and rom toolbox and I've never had an issue from either no matter the rom. I prefer TB to Rom even though I own licenses to both versions. And yes matter of fact the last screenshot says COMPATIBLE if you were to look at it again.

I'm on 4.2.2, done dalvik wipe so far, got no time to flash rom again.
