you never unlocked your bootloader. You need to flash back to stock, root, then unlock the bootloader.

I had odin stop on me without any failure warning today. Was flashing root66. I nearly sh*t a brick! My problem turned out to be I was flashing through a usb hub. Are you flashing directly from your computer's usb port? Hope this helps. Good luck.

[Q] How to know if hard bricked...

I think I may have hard bricked my Infuse... It's giving me zero response. Not sure what happened. I had flashed CM9 to move up to CM10, but I kept getting rainbow distortion, so I went to flash GB bootloader. I used the file given in the guide, double checked I didn't swap them on Odin by accident, and it flashed perfectly in 20 secs. Green Pass and everything. Unless there were supposed to be more than one green passes? My phone just shut off and stayed off, so I just unplugged it. Now it won't respond what-so-ever. How do I know it's hard bricked? What could be the problem? Please give me some advice!

Give it some time that happened to me one time and yeah it freaked me out I would keep trying. Take out the battery plug your USB hold down both volume up and down then pop the battery in! Try several methods don't lose it and good luck! Also try Odin 1.85 one or the other.

While I think you misunderstood the point of my post, I was able to jig my phone back to life and am now following these steps! One other question: I'm not 100% sure which bootloader I have. Is the GB loader the one that always asks me if I want to install a custom rom? It has been doing that as of recently, but I'm not sure that download mode is part of the bootloader. Thanks again!

need some help. Soft bricked i925 verizon note 10.1

So i recently rooted my i925 with this universal method...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2403230
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCBLOhWavT0
Then I decided to try and run the casuall "Jailbreak" software to get a custom recovery and unlocked bootloader and i just checked "I did it" during the root portion since I already was... and now I'm soft bricked. I can only get into the download mode and tried flashing with odin but no luck might be doing something wrong... Also tried following the cyanogen instructions which involve flashing a cwm recovery in download mode but still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!! If I hold power the screen will just flash the download mode screen on and off. I pulled the back off and pulled power. No difference.
Any ideas guys? This is the first time I've bricked anything since I've been here and it's got me pretty worried...
Still stuck is anyone has any ideas.

I would retry ODIN with the original VRAMK1 firmware available from sammobile.com. If that doesn't work tell us what error you are getting.

Ok... I Solved my problem finally... I spent almost 3 days in forums to find a solution... So i give you guys a summary what I do:
1) Find my phone's pit file according to model and storage capacity (Mine is G920F 32GB)
2)Then the trick is use ODIN V3.10.6 insist of V3.09... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711451
3)If you face with hidden.img problem, extract the rom's file and rename the file hidden.img to hidden.img.tar and flash it by ODIN (Put this file on AP)...
Wait for some minutes and there is where magic happens

I don't understand your solution.
What do I need to do with the pit file?
My device is also G920F 32GB.
The USB DEBUGGING is on.

And I think I flashed CF-Root correctly. Tried to boot, Recovery is not seandroid enforcing. I then flashed TWRP 2.8.7.1 (the .img one) and now it proceeds to recovery after boot screen.
I tried restarting to system with TWRP and it went into a bootloop.
Am I on the right track? I mean is it supposed to be like that until I do a factory reset? I'm scared cause the ROM is still downloading lol how do I put it in the device's internal memory? Will I be able to in Download Mode?
On a PC running Windows XP right now, Samsung's USB Drivers don't seem to work whatsoever. I'll try it on my laptop and we'll see.
(p.s. should I have opted for the one-click rooting and stuff? Idk the guide tells me to do it via Odin so yea lol)
Since you were on 5.0.2 you could've used the PingPongRoot to easily root your phone. I did that but then after a while I thought I want a custom ROM so I updated to 5.1.1 and tried to use odin to root my phone but got the same issue as you.
After a few hours of struggeling I got out of the bootloop by doing an emergency software recovery from Smart Switch. However I'm not sure if it will recover to 5.0.2 or download the latest 5.1.1 in your case.
Nonetheless when I got my phone to work again I just flashed UniKernel with TWRP and then I was rooted.
I wont touch odin ever again I'm too nooby for that and it caused me to panic so hard with that goddamn bootloop.
I hope you get it solved!

second hand sm-j3330FN error.

Hello guys,
I got a second hand J3 (J330FN) and I'm trying to flash TWPR in download mode, But i keep getting the FRP lock come up (Not at boot but when i try to flash something)
My understanding is without the person who owned the phone before me logging in (so they can remove the lock) I cant get access to flashing?
So; can i just flash the firmware after a wipe of the cache and factory reset as I've seen described on other forums / videos?
Edit; OEM is already ticked

If oem_,unlock is already enabled then you are likely rmm locked. If you see RMM Prenormal in download mode you will need to wait 7 days until you can flash anything.
Thanks for reply. So I had more problems with this phone. I've managed to flash the TWPR but now boot loops, wiped everything in the hope that it would at least wipe (First few times I just got errors)... so now i have a phone with TWRP on it and no custom roms to install?
I've got an A3 running lineageOS 15.1.... was hoping I could use the same rom but I'm currently unable to find a source.
I've tried flashing the custom rom back from sammobile but It copies something and then resets. nothing comes up on the screen, but its back lit.

Confused. Why did you wipe your rom?
because it was erroring when I was trying to wipe cache so I thought it wouldnt work, but it did.... Have I broke it?

Which error?
I dont know. I cant remember, was red, Thought it wouldn't make a difference if I could flash another rom because it would just fill up where the old rom was.
Is there a reason I wouldn't be able to flash the stock rom back tho? Then I can start again....
