Hi, I have an S III with a pin unlock code. I was able to get into my phone just fine, untill a few minutes ago I was able to get into my phone.
Now its simply locked and I cannot enter.
Any ideas? There are important family pictures.
Punch in the correct code?
I'm not trying to be facetious, but it's highly unlikely that the code just changed on its own.
Have you tried a battery pull and reset?

If you enter the wrong code enough times it should give you the option to unlock by entering the password for the phone's primary Google account.

Also, shouldnt I be getting the "forgotten pin" option? I dont see that.
If I get that I can easily login with my google account on MY phone.
Actually, I just tried it with the pin setting.... I'm not getting the "Login with your google account" option either. It shows up just fine for my pattern password, but if I set a pin, I can't find an option to bypass.

My question still stands, how do you reset your password with the pin lock? When I lock my phone with the pattern, if I mess up too many times it gives me the option to login with my google account, but with a pin lock, I saw no such option. What is one to do in this case?

Running Superlite 5.0 I have the app downloaded but it says not supported

It's not supported on any ROM.
The phone is lacking a secure element and Google Wallet should not be used on any phone that is rooted.
Rooted phones will get an "Unsupported device" message.
i downloaded this http://www.modaco.com/topic/354635-region-device-root-patched-google-wallet-apk-11-r67-v12/ and copied to /system/app and changed permissions. i gets far but it gets stuck on "activating account". i then read i should change ro.product.model, ro.product.name, ro.product.device to htc_jewel in build.prop which i did. cleared data for google wallet, cleared cache and dalvik cache in cwm. and i get the same results. anybody else get it working?
To my understanding it won't work on any non sprint phone per some contract
With that said, even those phones apparently don't work with Google wallet..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083 <- well i found this here. dont flash that exact zip since itll break nfc. but to my knowledge you can actually get wallet working for att. the only issue im having right now is the activating account. i might try airplane mode in a bit, that gets rid of carrier restrictions in the market, who knows.
Oh man.. I'm excited to see this work. think we need some devs on it to figure things out

You are free to try, but it will NOT work. Believe me. I work for the company who supplies the Trusted Service Manager (TSM) for the Google Wallet. Our software sends the credit card data from the bank to the mobile device and stores it on the Secure Element. Without a Secure Element, you cannot have a NFC Wallet.
However, the Skyrocket DOES have NFC and can use a Secure Element on the SIM card. The best hope of a NFC wallet for our device is Isis.

Last night, I lost my phone while I was out partying. Im not that upset about the loss, since I was going to upgrade it to a Nexus 4 anyway. The only thing that worries me, is that if someone finds the phone, they have acces to all my Google services, Facebook, etc.
Is there a way to prevent that? A way to log me out on all devices?
Anything that can prevent people from accesing my private information. I had my Gmail, my drive files, etc. on the phone.
Im afraid my lockscreen was on "slide to unlock" aswell. So there is not much protection there.
I really hope you can help me out here. It was a Galaxy Nexus running Cyanogenmod.

If it was linked to a microsoft exchange account, you can make it do a remote wipe.
next time use avast antivirus with anti-theft, great app, you can lock your smartphone via remote...
Lost my phone
oh its not good at all. you should change your all passwords as soon as possible, and the next step is to inform your nearest police station about this lost.
My daughter locker screen with the PIN number and forgot it and I didn't want to have to factory reset. I do however have access to the files through Androidlost and was wondering if there's a file that contains that pin number.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

The file would be heavily encrypted. You'd have no chance of retrieving it in plain text

was going to suggest this. you can do this with pattern I believe, so id think that this would work with pin also.
It never got to the point to request my Google credentials but I found a way to use SMS messaging to clear the pin...thanks for all the replies issue has been resolved.

I agree now that I think of it that the file would be very difficult to the decrypt.

I might have to go back and forth on this - I got really used to the finger print log in. I got to the point where I could mount the phone on the dash of the car and unlock it without taking my eyes off the road.
It is worth it though - I don't normally use WiFi tether everyday - so switching back and forth will be fine with me.
I think they just somehow found a way to work around the VZ subscription check and turn on the WiFi Tether anyways. I have a feeling there will be an update to plug that hole at some point.
Indeed... if you don't accept the update all should be well lol. Appears to me to us the VPN to bypass the service check.

There is a workaround for this. Read the app description at play store. The idea basically is to setup a pattern, nota pin, as screen lock security and to fail entering the pattern 5-10 times, then just say ok to forget pattern and then it is necessary to enter your Google password to unlock your device. Such a way you'll keep the security certificate with no lock screen pin.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i dont think that work around is working. Can only choose between pin and password. No pattern option. I have also cleared credentials and it does the same thing. Annoying, i likley wouldnt have paid the 7.95 for the app had i known this silliness. Granted its nice to see it working without root on the new s5, but its a little more than annoying. Perhaps the developer can fix this so what is in the app description actually works like they say for the s5. or others.

Can you post here direct Google play link ?
How many price it will be for full beta ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foxfi
$7.95 for Full Version, Free to try.
As others have stated, it works on the S5 but you need to turn on the lock screen setting.
Also after you launch Foxfi you have to turn on your Verizon mobile hotspot.

It won't allow a pattern unlock do so that bypass won't work. However simply deleting the certificate and changing it back over does.

Mine has been doing that and I wanted to know if it is suppose to or if I'm doing something wrong.

You need to activate the FoxFi hotspot first and then it will prompt you to turn on the Samsung hotspot. Needs to be in that order as its basically creating a trusted VPN tunnel.
