Running Superlite 5.0 I have the app downloaded but it says not supported

It's not supported on any ROM.
The phone is lacking a secure element and Google Wallet should not be used on any phone that is rooted.
Rooted phones will get an "Unsupported device" message.
i downloaded this http://www.modaco.com/topic/354635-region-device-root-patched-google-wallet-apk-11-r67-v12/ and copied to /system/app and changed permissions. i gets far but it gets stuck on "activating account". i then read i should change ro.product.model, ro.product.name, ro.product.device to htc_jewel in build.prop which i did. cleared data for google wallet, cleared cache and dalvik cache in cwm. and i get the same results. anybody else get it working?
To my understanding it won't work on any non sprint phone per some contract
With that said, even those phones apparently don't work with Google wallet..

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769083 <- well i found this here. dont flash that exact zip since itll break nfc. but to my knowledge you can actually get wallet working for att. the only issue im having right now is the activating account. i might try airplane mode in a bit, that gets rid of carrier restrictions in the market, who knows.
Oh man.. I'm excited to see this work. think we need some devs on it to figure things out

You are free to try, but it will NOT work. Believe me. I work for the company who supplies the Trusted Service Manager (TSM) for the Google Wallet. Our software sends the credit card data from the bank to the mobile device and stores it on the Secure Element. Without a Secure Element, you cannot have a NFC Wallet.
However, the Skyrocket DOES have NFC and can use a Secure Element on the SIM card. The best hope of a NFC wallet for our device is Isis.

Hey guys anyone know some good settings for android Wi-Fi tether 3.1 to work on the charge..
I saw somewhere to use fascinate as the device profile and change to digital for Samsung, but that has never worked for on any 3.1 versions, so Ive used 2.0.7 since I found Wi-Fi tether...
If anybody could help me I would greatly appreciate it thanks

Uncheck wifi driver reload and choose the Droid Charge profile. Make sure you uncheck that box though, otherwise you'll have to reboot to get wifi back.

One big advantage I see is that the new version is in the Play Store, so no more bother with sideloading. It'll autoupdate this way as well.
So Verizon is allowing us to download that version? Sounds fishy don't you think?

I understand Play Store is Google. I had the impression that carriers can block certain apps from appearing in the Play Store. When I was on sprint they blocked wireless tether app. I'm probably wrong about Verizon.

Google had pretty much blocked all tethering apps from the Market for a while, but they've started popping back up again. Not sure why the change in policy, unless they've just decided to stop letting the carriers dictate their internal policies.

Never really understood why google would be behind removing certain apps, yet you google the app apk and easily download it.

I love wifi tether with unlimited data...it's just like being hooked up to HSD at home.
FoxFi works fine for me. Don't have to deal with rebooting on the wifi tether app.

I use Wifi Tether and I don't have to reboot either. It's as simple as unchecking a box in the config. I don't trust FoxFi. Anything that uses the built in tethering is going to automatically be easier to detect than something like Wifi Tether or Open Garden.

Which check box? The wi-fi driver reload option? I'd love to be able to skip the reboot (on 3.1-beta11).

Just wanted to know if anybody else is having the same problem I am having. I updated my google wallet to the newest version, I used on of the guides on here.. I changed the build.prop to sprint. The new google wallet works but when I try S voice it doesnt work. I mean its not really a big deal since I never used it, but just wanted to know if anybody else is having this problem.
Works just fine for me, and I'm still on sprint's build.prop settings.
This should be in Q&A, but is your build.prop set to d2spr or htc_jewel?

The new Google wallet initializes at each restart... when you change the build.prop back it breaks Google wallet. So it's simply not that easy, bro.

Wrong. I only had an edited build.prop for the initial setup of Wallet. Since then I have gone back to the original build.prop, restarted numerous times and I just bought some coffee with it yesterday.

i restarted so many times actually and test it and still works. i had coffee at mcdonalds using wallet and S-voice is working too.
also, if you change the prop to a different settings somewhat the voice is like a robot lol
just put this and the sexy girl voice will go back

Holy balls how many of these threads do I have to kill in a week there is no secure element our phone cannot store the card nor pass the encrypted data to Google's cloud it will not work until at&t gives us a secure element sim

You don't need a secure element to run Google Wallet. They have re done it to work without it. Many people are running it on different phones with out the secure element.
He is asking a valid question, if the modified apk is able to run on the skyrocket.
So far it depends some people on other sites report it working and others not.

i have tried it and cant get past adding account
I got pass that but when it came to activating, my the app would freeze. Been looking for a apk that fully works. Also been talking to people that actually have it working on there phone to see if the changed anything.

Thread locked. First off wrong section second I did a quick search of wallet and saw 8-10 post relevant to this, why make a new thread?
Did this happen to anyone else? I've called at&t and they said to call google so i did and they said to call AT&T. Frustrating! I've even tried wiping my phone and still that option is gone. Any ideas?

Nope I haven't. It seems like it went missing after i updated to ICS which was not too long ago when i finally updated. Really odd...my wife has the HTC Vivid and she is running ICS and she still has that option available.

I know its working for me now. You might have to update the play store (current version is 3.9.16)
You can usually force it by clearing data and cache for the play store, or you can search xda for the apk and manually install it.

Yes i currently have this going on. I too have called att and google and they both said to call the other. I've tried a factory reset twice, cleared all google data and edited my build.prop a few times and nothing. I have also tried different versions of the play store as well. Its frustrating as hell. When i want to use carrier billing instead of a credit card i have to take my sim card out of my a2 and put it in my old infuse and it works fine. I'm going into my local att store this week sometime and getting a new sim card. Hopefully that will work but i highly doubt it.

Well that takes care of that idea. That saves me from dealing with att. I think that the problem is within the firmware but i could be wrong.

I'm having the same issue. I couldn't even tell you when it started, but it was before I upgraded to ics. I don't do the credit card thing and carrier billing is very convenient. Wonder if it's a Motorola issue...
Google wallet doesn't recognize this device. You can manage your devices from their web site and A2 will not show up at all.

Well the same thing happened on my xperia ion also..i had a samsung galaxy skyrocket and I didn't lose my option on that phone. So it worked on my skyrocket and didn't on my ion and now not on my atrix 2. My wife has the htc vivid and she still has that option.

Happened to me, after scripting from ICS 1st leak, back to GB 2.3.5, then OTA to 2.3.6. Had Titanium BU tell me my phones id number had changed and asked if I wanted the new one or the old one, selected old one, but, I don't have that option anymore for bill to phone.

Not there. Airplane mode, VPN, tethering, mobile networks.

Got it working, reinstalled and did google wallet first thing. Must have done something wrong.. Working fine now in liquidsmooth.

Do you have a lot of places that accept Google wallet around you. My area has one so I have held off on wallet for now.

Lots of places here I use an app called PayPass to find them here.. McD's, Gas stations, CVS, BP lots of places around me take it. I use it at least once a day for something. lol People are always amazed when my phone pays the bill.. haha
