insufficient storage - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Strange I can't download this one specific app "diptic" I'm getting the "insufficient storage" pop up. But I can download other apps n deleted them too.
Also, tried to push copy my apps to sd using TiBu .. no results. Tried LinksSD, no results.
Any suggestions. Posted print screens, too.

Use root explorer or es explorer and go into /data/app and delete the .odex file for the app you are trying to install.

So do the Stock Custom ICS (Beans, Synergy) have native a2sd functions?

Dunno if this will help but it did the trick on my last phone. Open root explorer and check the cache folder. I had an ota sitting there and the phone wouldn't download anything from the play store because of it. If something big is lurking there delete it.

[Q] Can't export by USB)

I am used to transferring data to my SD card by connecting the phone to my computer by USB and mounting it.
This suddenly has failed, and it looks like the problem is that there are apps running from the SD card. That is not surprising since I most my apps to SD because of the limited internal storage on this phone.
If its really an app or two thats causing the problem, how do I identify them so I can move then back to internal?
I have yet to have any space issues after deleting the fota files. Try using link2sd instead of apps2sd

yeah i used to have the same issue
and ive found the solution too
you need to delete the com.<titaniumbackup>.odex file from /data/app
(go to /data/app using any file explorer like ES Fileexplorer)
then install titanium backup again...it'll mostly work

+1 but on SGS2
Can any of you install other apps from the play store?
Sent from my sensational sensation 4g
deleting the titanium odex file from system should help u. Do it with a root explorer or similar app not with es explorer. If you have l.patcher uninstall it.

same problem on ET4G... this is frustrating.
check the following location for orphaned apk/odex/leftover files from the app you trying to install:
/cache/download
/data/app
/data/data
Same problem here "insufficient storage available" but with most of apps ... sometimes when i try again to install them it is succeed..

I posted this on a similar thread a while back...
None of the above solutions worked for me. I had to go and free up a gig of internal space... yes, internal space not sd card space.. so I could install and update large apps. When I was getting the insufficient space error I had..
800+ megs internal space
3.51 gigs on internal sd card
1.75 gigs on external sd
I tried remounting installing app and remounting, clearing play store cache, uninstalling market updates, and wiping davlik cache with no results.
So basically free up a buttload of internal space to get rid of the "insufficient space" error code from Google Play.
Hope this helps somebody from pulling their hair out like I did... wait, I dont have any hair
Happened to me a while ago (on sensation) backed up my rom in recovery.
Factory reset my phone and reflashed rom and problem was gone.
(if you have your apps backed up with play store then they should automatically redownload when you sign in
One Step fix
After reading multiple sites and many threads, I only did one thing to solve the problem.
Use root explorer and go to 'data\app\'.
Then find and delete the file 'com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup-1.odex'
After this, Titanium Backup will install just fine.

Tried clearing cache and ram, still keeps telling me insufficient storage. Will not install. The fact that the Tab came without flash installed do you think maybe we don't need it.

I'm pretty sure you have root and the cause it's the root you've done.
Just install ES File Explorer and with root access, go to \data\app folder on internal SD card and delete the Adobe Flash entry, then install it again. (backup the entry first!)
If you don't have root, then you need to factory reset the tablet from settings in menu.

If you searched from phone explorer you will have enable hidden files to search for".nomedia"

Hey, I had the same problem a week ago. What I did was download an app from the appstore called SDRescan. It's the perfect app for this kind of problem to be honest.

Try to reboot your device
Try to reboot your device and see what happens. I encounter the same problem and decided to reboot. Doing that solves my problem.
No matter what i do nothing fixes this ****ty problem. So i just formatted everything including sdcard and reinstalled rom.
I have a similar problem, the photos that I upload to outlook, facebook.... now appears duplicated in gallery, when physically not.
I've tried clean /cache, dalvik cache, re-mount sdcard, reboot phone.. but these methods has no effect
I'll try to make a backup of dcim photos in another folder, reboot, then put again the photos.
PD: also I tried to delete the famous .nomedia file, but I don't founded it!

"0" folder

Currently on a TW rom, Jelly Beans 19. A couple months back I had flashed an aosp rom and of course got the "0" folder. After switching back to TW, the folder remained. I flashed the restore SD zip by itself, along with fresh rom install, and it didn't fix it. I also formatted internal storage as well as SD card. For a couple days it was fine and then behold, that stupid folder is there again. Only bad part is, anything I download I have to merge into that folder so recovery will recognize it. I've done the formatting/ wiping several times. Any thoughts?

the 0 folder is an emulated partition of the internal storage on your phone. i have one too. everyone does.
if you go into es file explorer, and go to the root of you phone, and then hit storage, you will see 3 options, "emulated", "sdcard1" and "0"
the "0" is a fake sd card. the internal storage is partitioned, in case something goes wrong you wont lose all your data.
i found this out the hard way lol forgot to back up and data wipe before flashing a rom once when i was half asleep, and you would think its all gone but no it was still all there. games, apps, contacts, the whole 9.
