i am trying to theme the rom(cm7 nightly).... the problem is that i cannot theme the dialer.. ... i searched thorugh the phone.apk but i was not able to find what images to be replaced:silly:... and if its not in phone.apk... then pls let me know where can i find it... ?
i am sayin dialer like ics style , lik miui style... and all...so kind of want to make it like that... pls help.. :fingers-crossed:

If you want to theme the dialer, you'll find it in Contacts.apk
According to this thread: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215898)
"Theming Contacts.apk, will customize the things you see before placing a call.
Theming Phone.apk, will customize images during or in-call."
And it's true: I decompiled Contacts.apk and was able to access the dialpad drawables ect..

has anyone sucessfully themed their dialer ? any good ones out there ? i would love to see Galaxy S's dialer lookalike on my n1.. there is this minimalistic theme wid a dialer mod in this forum but it is still buggy rite now (some people complaining not working).. perhaps a morph or s update.zip ?

i saw the minimalist dialer too, but it only worked on CM6 rc2 not the newest, rc3, which is my problem.

I can theme dialers, pm me a link to the thread. I can port the images but you will have to push with adb or root explorer, astro to copy paste to system/app.

i want to know plz,i download everytime few themes and few pf them like icehd got dialer skin in the theme,my question is,everytime when i change the skin only the wallpaper and lock screen change,not the icons and not the dialer
what im duing wrong???
and another question if i download only icons how do i enable them?
i know in miui i can choose what to change from the skin but in other roms i cant?

If your talking about the sense 3.5 skins fire ICS it's cause they used a flashable theme for the ROM the skins don't change the dialer or icons you have to use a permanent flashable zip you can find them around or in the ICS fixes and mods thread

Hi!!!!! I'm new creating a custom rom, my rom is going to be based on on the stock gingerbread 2.3.3 V20g.
Now i want some help related with the theming of the rom.
Like customize the status bar, the settings style, the buttons, the fonts, the lockscreen, and many more.
IF SOMEONE CAN BRING ME A TUTORIAL FOR DO THESE THINGS..... I would be very grateful...............

Only for appearance.. have you tried UOT Kitchen??

ohk... see... the kitchen wil help you for few icons and bit of animations part.... but if want to theme the app icons and glow effects manually.... then you will have to edit the framework-res.apk and systemui.apk... open them take a good like at the files ... understand them.... n try your modding.. n c what u can make..

I tried uot kitchen and that's why request framework-res and system ui. Maybe I'll try modify these files manually. Thanks
um hey there, is it possible to have only some apks from MIUI (like the mms.apk, phone.apk, contacts.apk, statusbar etc.) coz i dont MIUI home or themes jzt those things nd will it be possible to use them on PA??

@Bsusas can u mod this or tell me the way cos i think i just need to delete the dialer xml and rename and paste emergency dialer xml to look like the emergency dialer. but dont know the name of the standard dialers xml
