um hey there, is it possible to have only some apks from MIUI (like the mms.apk, phone.apk, contacts.apk, statusbar etc.) coz i dont MIUI home or themes jzt those things nd will it be possible to use them on PA??

i want change style of my rom i have cyanogenmod but i like ics style how can change from cyanogen to ics but keep all settings from cyanogen
so do i must replace framework-res.apk and framework.java from other rom or i must replace systemui.apk or have any software or app to change style i dont like goluncher and other apps for change apperance
what i must do for change
i try with this tutorial
1.download 2 roms
2.exctract all
3.replace framework-res and framework java from one to other
4.sign rom
5.install

M back again with some new osm stuffs...
First of all Thanks to Achotjan for building such a beautifull rom...and thanks to every developer....and Especially valday456 from whom i took all the icon and resize it to fit our x10
So herez the mod for lockscreen with some new multi colour Attached in screen shot and also the music player on lockscreen icon colour is change now
also i have added the mod for home with ics style icon and 3d folder which i took from vasishta reddy xperia icsv2 launcher Thanks to him
and the home launcher has 4*5 apptray and also has the new platform keyz of achotjan v2 rom so dun worry and also i have moded the semcphone.apk with 3d icon looks kool....all images are there in attachment
so here you go guyz i have attached here all the different mod files with different names so itz easier to find out which mod you want....and also i have uploaded all in one mod which has all 3 files included in it....

Backup Before Flashing
Flash through REcovery
fix permission and reboot

for Clock,dialpad,browser and conversation will be updated....as soon as i finished...maybe this weekend....as and when i get time:good:

i am trying to theme the rom(cm7 nightly).... the problem is that i cannot theme the dialer.. ... i searched thorugh the phone.apk but i was not able to find what images to be replaced:silly:... and if its not in phone.apk... then pls let me know where can i find it... ?
i am sayin dialer like ics style , lik miui style... and all...so kind of want to make it like that... pls help.. :fingers-crossed:

If you want to theme the dialer, you'll find it in Contacts.apk
According to this thread: (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1215898)
"Theming Contacts.apk, will customize the things you see before placing a call.
Theming Phone.apk, will customize images during or in-call."
And it's true: I decompiled Contacts.apk and was able to access the dialpad drawables ect..
will check it out..

i would really appriciate you if you would just put up a guide or tut or something ..
or just decompile an apk n tell which things matter while porting from one device to another..
or can we jst build the SYSTEM app from sources for the device?? by just editing the source files?

Lockscreen is part of framework-res.apk And yeah i am interested in how to port App from JB/ICS to GB for example...

ya i know it is a part of the framework-res.apk .
but there has to be some way to port it right?? for eg you can jst extract those sources(imgs,line of codes, .smali files) n then put it in to the lockscreen apk itself.. n change the location of those sources mentioned in the lockscreen apk ..??

You need to put the Settings.apk in system/app with root browse or root explorer.
If you will be ask to overview chose yes and reboot the phone.
