HTC One S Black is it 4G? - HTC One S

I want to buy a htc one s black with red gradient but i dont know if it 4g

All HTC One S are the same, except T- mobile in USA where slightly different frequencies are used. As to whether any One S has 4G that depends on whether your country lets carriers claim that HSPA is 4G or not.

[Q] Slight Problem

I want to buy an Inspire 4G, and i'm from Romania.
I would like to use it in the Orange Romania network. But someone pointed out that i most certainly cannot use the 3G and 4G functions of this phone in this network because of different frequencies.
How can i find out what frequencies the phone operates on for 3G and 4G and what frequencies my Romanian network operates on for the same services?
I haven't ordered the phone yet, but i will not order it if i can't use it in full swing. Can someone clarify the frequency and usage thing for me?
Thank you.
Is there a reason you don't want the Desire HD? Orange Romania uses 900/2100 for HSPA+ (3G/4G) and 1800 for GSM (2G), all included in the DHD. The DHD also has a front facing camera. With an Inspire you would only be able to use 1800 GSM.
I found all this with Google.

Yeah, it's 100$ more expensive and i can't afford it.
So my only chance for Romania is the Desire HD? No way i could get the Inspire working? How about the Motorola Defy?
If i buy this Motorola Defy: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280658487905&category=9355&_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 can i use it at 100% in Romania?
The radios in the Defy would work on Orange in Romania. I don't know much about it but it has a smaller screen and uses motoblur.

[Q] Sensation 4G

I am planning to buy the Sensation 4G...Can someone tell me how to tell the difference? Maybe serial number? can tell from the box? Just to make sure the seller is giving me the right version instead of the normal version. The 4G cost almost $100 more.
Do you have T-Mobile? If so, buy one that has the branding on the phone.

+1 to above post just know that when you do this the stock radios are 2g and 4g you dont have 3g capacity with tmobile branded phones out the gate simply because their 4g is hspa which is just a 3g signal on steroids and not true 4g

Turn a 3G Device to a 4G Device?

I tried searching but I couldn't find anything that would help me to be the wiser. What differs the 4G version and the 3G version <- which I have?
Is it possible to turn a 3G to a 4G? Is it just drivers or physical hardware that differs them?
Kind Regards,
Jolaren
its just an icon on the sensation...... besides the band differences on the couple versions out there they are all the same!
but on a realistic level, there is hardware that makes the difference from a 'TRUE' 4G to a 3G device
'h' is 3g
So my European bought Sensation won't be able to run 4G ever?

Well. You see, the T-Mobile 4G isn't even 4G its actually 3G they just call it 4G.. So "H" is basically "4G" for T-Mobile users. So don't worry, you're not missing out on anything. It's just an icon
All current 4G is not true 4G. But it is marketed as such. That's not the question here.
3g can do up to about 3mbs on average. It uses a different radio spectrum than 4G phones.
For example my sensation hits 5mbs while my wifes 3g Samsung Galaxy S can only reach 300kps to 600kps when compared side by side. It will depend on your proximity to the tower, but my real world tests were done side by side so hopefully that helps you. Don't take my advice though, go to your nearest store and run the comparison yourself!
Hope this helps!

[Q] Htc desire hd or inspire 4g? Think I have been cheated.

I bought HTC Dhd from eBay and when I search on imei checking websites they tell me imei belongs to HTC inspire 4g.There is no at&t logo at the back, but changing the outer cover is no big deal. Before blaming the seller, I just wanted to get confirmed.I currently live in India and 3g works on 2100mhz here, inspire 4g doesn't support 2100mhz but HTC desire HD does.I am NOT getting any signal when I switch to 3g mode. What do you think.Any other way to get confirmed? Thanks for your time..

HTC one s not getting 4g?!

Hello everyone! So I was wondering if there was a way my HTC one s (s4 version) can get 4g or not? I live in the UK and I'm on giffgaff, but I checked on willmyphonework.com and it doesn't say it works there on any carrier, but on YouTube a few people have 4g on their HTC one s!
Any ideas? Thanks
It doesn't support 4G LTE, which is probably what you'd be after. It does do HSPA+, which is (or was) sometimes considered 4G (it's not a rigid term; "4G" just means "4th generation"), but it's nowhere near as speedy as LTE. Basically, HSPA+ is a souped up HSPA, so it is a bit faster than top-speed 3G, but LTE is a different standard that's based on different technology.
