running processes show on main screen - HTC One S

Has this happened to anyone else? All of a sudden the running processes are displayed on my screen. I'm able to use it the same - buttons underneath it still work - but this looks ugly as hell.
Did I mess up the settings somewhere?

Blank Icon in Notification Bar?

I am noticing that I occasionally get a notification (ring/vibrate) which results in a blank icon. I even installed a task manager to see what was running and killed everything 1 by 1 but the blank remains.
It only goes away with a reboot. There is no apparent pattern to it's appearance though.
Ideas anyone?
That's just your phone telling you that everything is fine and not to worry about it...

Haha.. It's not really a problem, persay, other than taking up a spot where I could quickly see relevant info.
Just makes me have to pull down the Notification Bar to see the other ones.
Do you have status notes?

Widgetlocker problem

Hi,
Since two days I'm a happy and proud Note owner, but there's one thing, that makes me really go crazy:
I installed the program "Widgetlocker", because the standard lockscreen is quite broing. It actually works quite good, but sometimes the standard lockscreen still apears. Not instead of the widgetlocker, but additional. So I always have to unlock two lockscreens.
Does anybody else has got this problem? And how can I fix it?
I tried to find a solution in different forums and in the program configuration, without sucess!
Thanks for help!
Edit: The error apears mostly when there's a pop-up (gtalk e.g.) or when I plug in the charger....
I turned on root helper and home helper in settings, that fixed it for me. I'm on Stock Rooted XXKK9 if that helps.

I presume you have set the lock screen to "none" in the actual phone settings too?

My widgetlocker works fine. Been using it since day 1. Hmm.. Sorry. Not sure how to help.
chrcad,
Your problem seems related to the fact that Android is not having enough memory left ans simply closes "useless" apps and considers that WL is part of them. To prevent that to happen, simply check in advanced settings the "refuse to suspend WL" box and Android will look another application than WL to close

Thanks @ everybody for the help, but unhappily it's still not working properly.
The problem always apperas, when the phone's sleeping and a gTalk message comes in.... but ONLY, when the gTalk ppop-up is activated......
Any (more) idea?
you are leaving it running all the time aren't you?
I use to have the same problem, very rarely but it was still annoying. I have put a lock on widgetlocker so if I ever close all programs, widgetlocker is still running. It's not happened since but it's only been a few days so I'll see.

Some pop-ups cause this if they're designed to appear underneath the stock lockscreen rather than dismiss it.
For now:
1) Easy Wake Mode disables the system lockscreen
2) WL Settings > Long-press volume down for Experimental > Aggressive Dismiss stock lockscreen. This should work, but it's not well tested yet so it's off by default.

What app/widget is overlaying cpu loads and services in real time?

Kids played with the phone.
Now I get a overlay on my optimus v with CM7 showing Min/Max/Avg Loads and right below the current applications/services running in the Upper right side of the screen ALL the time, during lockscreen, in settings, during any application running.
Cant figure if its a widget, app, or a setting.
phone has just CM7, removed major of apps..
any help?
thx
====
Its not cool tool
I removed all apps and unable to click on it
Let me try to describe it more.
Top shows a Green / Red Bar along with CPU Average / / / over time or Min / Max / Average
below that shows a constantly changing list of different services/apps running
like System_Server, rild, com.android.phone, flush-31:0, etc changes every 1 second..
any help?
Its a checkbox somewhere in system settings, i believe under the develope section.
dont see anything under system / debugging to turn it off.
Unless someone has any ideas, I just reload CM7 rom fresh
Screenshot?

thanks for the help.. pic attached
K, that setting is in the development settings, see attached screenshots showing the overlay with the box checked and unchecked

Thanks for the HELP !!
What did i say again?

This morning my edge apps lost one column, anyone else have this issue?

As the title states, My edge apps column shrank down to one column instead of the usual 2. Is there any way to get this back to normal?

If I'm understanding you correctly, just open the edge panel them click on settings then at the bottom of the apps edge should be the edit button. You should be able to click on that to add your apps back.

No. not the individual apps like the music player, device maintenance etc. Theres a panel called "apps edge" and by default it shows 2 columns. For some strange reason it now shows only 1 no matter if i turn off then back on that specific panel or rearrange it or try to remove and add apps.
Ok. I thought you were talking about this...
Well I seem to have resolved the issue by messing around with it for a bit. I will just leave my reply here in case anyone else has this issue.
After rebooting phone I basically started removing apps off the edge panel. I removed about 2 of them and went to put one back on and the 2nd column appeared again. Don't know if this is considered even a fix but I figured I should let people know what I did in case it happens to them before they factory reset their phone.

yes that particular edge panel.
for some reason this morning mine appeared like this :
Instead of showing 2 columns it was stuck on 1

Missing Multitasking Previews in App Switcher

Is anyone else having this issue/know a fix? All the apps in the app switcher show up as blank boxes with just the name above it, even the app I'm in when I open the switcher shows an animation then goes blank.
G955U1 on AQE3 firmware, no package disablers
Could this be anything to do with Samsung's aggressive RAM management?
Is this an actual issue or is this how its supposed to be?

No, you are supposed to see app screen.
See screenshot.
Are you not using power saving?
Bottom line it's not supposed
to look like that.
It looks like a reboot fixed it for now.

Yes, i also found at times, that a device reboot
sometimes, can "solved" issues.!
Good luck
Thought it was just me. I also noticed sometime my home screen has a clear navigation bar, and sometimes it's black, or white. I think it's memory management.
Yeah, I've noticed that I only get this issue when I go into multi window. I don't know how I can fix this without just not using multi window.
