Vodafone v1415 (VOX) application unlock Probs

Hi
I have been trying to application unlock a vodafone v1415 (HTC VOX) using several ways including the standard regedit method here http://wiki.spv-developers.com/HTC_Application_Unlock_Guide
But when i try to alter the reg values i get
"Error" in the title bar and then
Unable to perform this operation
Any ideas out there!!

Download this tool
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en
Install on your PC then find the following file
C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Security Configuration Manager\tool.cab
copy it to your v1415
run it from your phone
reboot your phone
then connect your phone to your PC run the Device Security Manager
it should say your device is connected
Save the config as something you will remember (in case things go wrong!!)
Then change "Selected Configuration" to security off
Then Provision your phone
Reboot the phone
and thats it

Other thing:
Put the Cert.CAB de XDA dev, and run SDA Unlocker on the PC, device synchronized.
Then you'll be able to modify registry values to be fully app unlocked.
Another try (but not necessary) is Paul from MoDaCo 's unlocker.

Actually if you choose the security off option from the device secuirty manager it allows full acesss to the registry like a full unlock.

Lost data recovery

Hi all,
During synchronising my HTC Hermes 300 (T-mobile MDA Vario II) with PC I lost an important excel file. The empty folder on the laptop overwrote the PDA.
Is there any possibility to recover this file?
1. Is there any PPC recovery software for this?
2. Is there any software that makes it possible to see my PDA as a drive? (own memory of the PDA, not the extended memory card.) This would also help as I could use the recovery software on my PC and check the PDA as I check a drive.

you can use nueMassStorage and scan your rom using Active Recovery 7

Thanks for your quick reply. I try to do it but I have got a small problem with using nueMassStorage When I install it, USB - PC disappears from Start - Setting - Connection, so I cannot set it to MassStorage.
I restarted the PDA many times, but nothing changed. After removing MassStorage, USB - PC comes back.
How to go on?

[Q] HTC Touch Pro 2 no connection to PC(WinXP, ACtiveSync) and cannot flash ROM

Hello everybody,
I used ActiveSync on WinXP for a long time, but i installed and reinstalled some Software on my phone - it does not work anymore (cannot set up a data connection to it via USB) I tryed hard reset, disabling the checkbox in activesync about the speed but no success.
So i had a look here

and tryed to flash via the SD card. I downloaded a ROM from HTC site and renamed to RHODIMG.nbh. It says "loading", but after some time "not allow" - So - do i have to do hardSPL before? And if yes, how to do without functioning data connection? is it also possible via SD-Card?

i made the flashing: i had to format the sd card and then one of the offered htc roms worked.
but still no connection to the PC - and the standby consumes as much power as switched on - so full charge in the evening - no use in the night - empty in the morning
What can it be? and for the connection issue - can i debug the USB connection somehow - if something is sendet at all??

Problem with BroodRom Configurator

Hello, this is my first post and, first of all, I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to the BroodROM developer. I got my Samsung Galaxy S Plus a week ago and, after reading a lot, I decided to flash this rom. Everything's working perfect (performance, battery, etc.) and I tried to to tune up the rom through Configurator Beta 3.
I have an issue with the Configurator (no matter wich version). I plug the phone to usb port, choose the "Connect computer" button on phone's screen and run the configurator. Click on Authenticate but it hangs and do nothing. I tried to run with the /nocheck parameter and I started the Configurator but no option worked.
I don't know if it's related but when I tried to run the bat file for the "battery tweak" it didn't work. I plug the phone to the same Usb port where I flashed the rom with Odin.
Hope anyone could help me to be able to run the Configurator. I'm not sure if I do all the correct steps when I connect the phone to computer. I got it in "massive storage" option and debugging mode checked. Thanks in advance.

I have exacly the same problem.

try to check ur USB debugging in ur phone setting. Setting - application - development & check USB debugging. then try reconnect again to ur pc.

Is broodrom still alive for the newer devices?
I used to enjoy it alot, was always fast and reliable.

build.prop "Contect to PC"

Hey,
I've been looking all day, but can not find the exact setting in build.prop file to set "Connect To PC" setting for my custom ROM to default to "ON" instead of "Off".
See while I'm working on this ROM I want to be able to just flash and start testing apps (or tell the unit to switch back to flasher mode cause I jacked something up).
So I found the needed build.prop values for having debug mode enabled by default, but just cannot for the life of me locate the settings for "Connect To PC".
If it matters the ROM is being made 3 flavors. 4.2.2, 4.4.2, and 5.0.
