Okay so I find this a tad bit annoying but how do I remove the "Instant Upload" pics from my gallery? I removed Google Plus from my phone but it still seems to be there. Any way to get rid of it?

Did you uncheck "sync instant upload" under your google account?
I think I did. This is what I did but it still shows up
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
I think you need to delete the gallery in Google plus, then sign into Google plus from your phone and turn instant upload off during g plus set up. They should now be gone.

You can temporarily suppress them by doing the following:
Open Gallery, hit the menu button > View by > Select Content in device, and it will get suppress your Picasa folders,

Ok after a google search I found the following fix and it worked for me:
Turn off your Picasa Account Sync and Instant upload in Google+.
Go to the Application manager, find the Gallery and clear the cache.

This.
You have to disable the auto sync for your Picasa Web albums only and then clear the cache for the gallery in the application manager

Yeah, I changed mine by disabling it in Google+ and then going into accounts/sync and unchecking instant upload, good you got it working though.

Here's a mod to improve the resolution of synced contact pictures, so no more pixelated pics :good: Now I have only tested this with exchange contacts as that is what I use but from what I read, Gmail saves it in a 96x96 format on their end, so this might not help too much if you use that but test and post if it does or not.
After applying this mod, you will need to either clear data on contacts storage or remove & readd the e-mail account that has your contacts so it imports them with the new resolution.

And for the devs, the mod is actually quite simple, decompile the ContactsProvider apk and mod these values in the values/integers.xml but please remember to give credit
Code:
<integer name="config_max_display_photo_dim">2048</integer>
<integer name="config_max_thumbnail_photo_dim">768</integer>

seems to be working well for me, pictures aren't perfect but still an improvement. Thanks!
edit: using gmail, and after looking closer, doesn't seem to have made a difference.
Since you are messing with the contacts app, can i direct you to this thread and see what you think??

As posted in the op, Gmail saves contacts at 96x96, you'll never make them look pretty until Google changes that. Your contacts would have to have a picture up on Google+ for higher resolution pictures.

OK, if you delete your google account and recreated and it's not working then the issue is with your Chrome account. Do this:
Go to your computer, In google chrome settings, there is a hyperlink to google dashboard. Go there and find "Chrome Sync", do a reset and deleted chrome data. (Don't worry, it doesn't delete your bookmarks, picasa, or gmail). Chrome is now reset so that it no longer "encrypt all data" and instead is now "encrypt with password". Give it a try and it should work.

Thank you so much... My tablet wasn't working, then when I got my new phone, it also wasn't working. This did the trick!!
I have tried swiping up from nav bar, swiping to right from default launcher, opening the "Google" app, and it all just direct me to a normal Google search.

Where do you access this screen? When I open the "Google" app it redirects me straight to the Google search bar on the homescreen.

That brings me to the Google Settings app, which is something totally different.
I'm inclined to believe that I've hit a Kitkat bug where not signing in with my Google account at first boot throws off Google Now activation. I've never seen something like this since Google introduced Google Now.

Not sure if bug or just the way they set it now, but it's too complicated to get to. Should be just an on/off option.

Which is? The one on the phone? What's that? (I have couple of "standard clients" on my android phone.)
Can you forward the message to an email account that you can access on a PC?
Is there an email accnt that can't be accessed through pc? If you are using the stock mail client. Once you open it. There will be a save option beside it after.

You seem to have missed the point of the Android environment. I have various options on my devices. One of them is Mailwasher. I can even use my browser.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Try these:
K-9 Mail – Android Apps on Google Play
myMail—Free Email Application – Android Apps on Google Play
All Email Providers – Android Apps on Google Play
I could go on – there's a heap of them, a dozen or more – but don't want to rub salt into the wounds.

That makes life more complicated.
But email is email. It isn't locked to the device you use. (Ignore Simona Simmy. They clearly don't have a clue. What does the play store have anything to do with your email?)
Can you forward the message to a PC account that might have a bit more capability?
Or is that what you meant by the Outlook app?
I can get at all of my email accounts on my Android devices and on my PC. So, if I get an email through gmail, I can also access it from my PC, first with my browser, then with any other email client I like.
G'day folks. I have updated from the s7 and cannot find enhanced messaging on the s8+.
Anyone else in the same boat?
Think they just changed how the settings are, but these are features for Advanced Messaging and I do see it working.

Don't know if this is what you're looking for. Using Samsung messaging app, go to settings (3 dots top right), then more settings, you'll then see seperate settings for text messaging and multimedia messaging.
Hope this helps.

Interesting. I followed the instructions, yet still do not have the chat settings in the Samsung messaging app, v 4.3.03.2/msg svc 4.1.02.48. I have CarHDROM installed on 955F, so will look around for a solution.
