My Xoom MZ601 not available 3g network. How to fix it? - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Xoom MZ601 not available 3g network. anybody know how to fix it?or i have to unlock it? thanks

Is it a wifi + 3g?
Have you installed a sim card?
Have you tried the sim card in a phone or other 3g device?
Do you not get 3g at all or do you have it then lose it?
What Android version is it running?

[q] uckk1 ota?

I've read that UCKK1 should be available OTA, however when I look for updates on my new UCKJ2 device, I get "Current software is up to date."
Why can't I find the update? Do I have to download the update on WiFi or can I do it over 3G/4G?
The update was only available for a few days then it was stoped. Not sure why. But att said it was only available to those who needed it
Theres a pre rooted stock rom made from it in the dev section . If u want it
---------- Post added at 04:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:57 PM ----------
No there are no issues or problems with it at all. Infact some of the other roms were made from it. Here check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361144
Do you think I could flash over stock post-rooted UCKJ2 w/o wipe?
No it is. Never a good idea . Always wipe data/cache before flashing a rom. Unless its an official update.zip

[Q] No 3G after flashing ICS

I got my new Sensation today (yay!)
However after flashing I can only get GPRS data, no 3G or HDSPA.
The ROM I used is Virtuous Inquisition v3
The carrier is Orange UK.
Any suggestions?
Make sure there isn't a coincidental outage and check your APN, you might need to add one.

Good thoughts about a service outage, does another phone in the same location get 3G etc. ?
I've found that in a lot of the ICS Roms, you have to go to quick settings to enable Mobile Data. Maybe that has something to do with 3G?

[Q] Problem with software update error message.

Hello, I just got my htc one x at&t so I unlock it and try use my carrier. I fix setting for having internet with my carrier and everything is pretty smooth. The problem is that when I try update software I get:
”error
SERVICE UNAVAILABLE
check for software update under settings
when service is available”
trying to update I go menu->settings->at&t software update->check for updates
The thing is I don’t get anything like you have latest software or something like that.
Searching for answer I saw that many people said that changing sim worked for them…the thing is that I don’t have any other micro-sim (yesterday I change my mini-sim to mini micro-sim and I don’t have any other). So I came up with another idea.. trying to update without any sim in phone…but still I get some message so any idea???
ps: I can not use at&t sim I don’t live in usa just bought it from there.

The phone bought throught a person wich had it as a upgrade from his carrier so he check it works and sell it,so how i can check for 100% its not root?(Just for the 1% something is wrong).
If you are not in the US, that is probably the reason you cannot download the OTA. You typically need to be in the proper country to get OTAs.

AFAIK, there are only SIMs, Micro-SIMs, and nanoSIMs (Apple properietary). I don't know what you are talking about with mini SIM or mini Micro SIMs.
same problem

If you are not on the current AT&T 2.20 firmware (if you are still on 1.73 or 1.85), and have any desire to root and flash custom ROMs, I would suggest not updating by OTA. Instead, root and unlock the bootloader now. 2.20 firmware updates the hboot, which plugs the hole by which kernels and radios can be flashed from recovery.
If you still want the official 2.20 firmware, just go to HTC's website and download the RUU for the AT&T version of the One X (download to your PC, and run it with the phone connected by USB). OTAs don't typically work if you are not in the intended country (USA). RUU will wipe the phone, but in my opinion, this is a cleaner/better install anyway and will cause less issues, which often happen with OTAs.

That's what i was saying about micro mini sim.(pic)
So i end up that i will work my mobile one month to see it runs smooth, i mean no need to use my warranty and then (after my exams) when i have time i will spend one day to read the [index] which you upload..and then i will flash the latest stock rom rooted!
One more question, flashing many roms (i did that one on my previous htc desire bravo) means installing the apps you usually use many times is there a trick to put your apps instant to the new room i mean without instaling them one at a time throught play store??
Thanks a lot!

Interesting, I just looked it up on Wikipedia. I didn't actually didn't know a full sized SIM was about the same size as a credit card. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subscriber_identity_module#Formats
Of course, these haven't been used in a long time, so most people just call a mini-SIM a "SIM".
For practical purposes, GSM phones use either SIM (mini) or Micro-SIMs. With the exception of the latest generation of Apple products, which use nanoSIMs.
If you have a nano-SIM, you can buy an adapter to insert it into your One X.

Titanium Backup, which can be found on the Play Store. It will restore your apps and app data. Highly recommend the paid version, as you can batch restore all your apps after a ROM flash.

Help choosing which method to use to flash

Hello. I have a Samsung Galaxy s4 from atnt (sgh-i337) and I'm looking to flash this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2313469. I am on the t-mobile network so which instruction would I follow as atnt and t-mobile have a different process. Any help will be much appreciated. Thank you.
You have an att phone. That's what matters most what carrier you're on.

Better yet, choose your phone model when prompted

Is Hong Kong model best option right now?

I need root on my phone.
It seems like both Exynos and HK Snapdragon variants can be rooted, but reading the Exynos's poor SOT and idle battery drain is concerning. I do admit that there are some users reporting improved performance with latest updates but the fact that some are still experiencing this within the past month is worrisome.
I've come to the conclusion that HK S10e will meet my needs as it can be rooted and SD performance is generally better than Exynos. Its network also works in Australia.
Is there anything I have not considered?
Aa far as I know USA version is also using Snapdragon.

It doesn't look like the US version can be rooted, only the HK Snapdragon can.
