Device encryption samsung SII doesn't work - General Questions and Answers

I have a Telstra Samsung SII GT-I9100T that had Android 2.3.3 on it, it went into Samsung service and came back with Android 4.0.3
When i tried to encrypt device it went through the complete process and when the phone rebooted it asked for the password. When i entered it, came up with message Try again.
The only thing i could do was to re-set to factory default and try again. I have done this several times with no solution. I have tried using a password with minimum of 6 characters and one number but still does not work.
Has anyone got a solution to this?
Thanks

Unable to Reset

I picked up the Captivate yesterday, this is my first Android device. I have not rooted or done anything of that nature to the device. Everything was running fine until late this morning when I have been unable to download any applications from the market, 'download unsuccessful'. I just tried to perform a factory reset and I receive the following message, ' No reset was performed because System Clear service is not available'. I have tried turning the phone off and on as well as removing the battery but keep getting the same results. Any thoughts on how I should proceed?
Thanks,
If the phone has not been rooted or hacked in anyway I would just call support at Samsung or AT&T and let them address the problem.

[Q]

hi guys i just wont to ask you somthing i have samsung galaxy s2 and i installed ics form sammobile xxkp8 and i wasnt happy with ics so i wanted go back to gingerbrad and i flashed 2.3.6 gingerbrad as usual when it booted up it showed me a password is required for cwm like this guy he had same issue but on transformer. SO CAN ANBODY HELP ME I WOULD BE SO GRATEFULL AND TENX
TRANSFORMER GUY
I just completed the process of rooting/installing CWM Mod1.3.0.1/installing Primordial 1.3.
Each step was successful but after completing step 2-CWM Mod1.3.0.1 and rebooting, I was presented with a Device Password login screen. Since I did not have the password I could not login.
Went ahead and sucessfully installed Primordial 1.3 and rebooted. I was back to the password login screen without a valid password.
I rebooted into CWM and did a factory reset and cleared all user data and rebooted but was back to the password login screen without having a valid password. Tried factory reset again with the same result.
Does anyone have a suggestion for clearing the password or bypassing this login screen?

[Q] Reactivation lock remains enabled

Guys, recently I have ****ed up in a rush to reset my phone apparently I reset it in such a way that now I am only able to login with my own Samsung account due to the problem of an 'abnormal factory reset'. If I set my phone up with my Samsung account nothing is wrong and I can just use my device. Only know when I try to disable the Reactivation Lock from Settings > Lockscreen and Security > FInd My Mobile, while typing my correct password I just get thrown back to the Find My Mobile section and the Reactivation Lock goes back on. While my device remains fully functional I fear that I can not install custom roms/bootloaders etc. and I will be limited to stock Android from Samsung. I can also see and locate my device in account.samsung.com, but here I can also not remove the Reactivation Lock.
What I have done already is;
Reset my device via Settings > Backups and reset > Factory data reset. However, this did not work.
Another reset using the volume up + home + power button, also reset the device, but the problem with the 'abnormal factory reset' remains.
I also used Smartswitch to update my device, but the update did not fix anything
I am also not able to detect my device in KIES Emergency Firmware Recovery. I can and have performed a firmware update with KIES, however this also did not work.
Even flashing the original firmware with which my phone came via ODIN did not solve this problem; I successfully flashed this device, but the problem persists. Important: I have flashed the phone with the firmware I believe to be its first as I can not exactly recall what this firmware was. So what firmware do I need the very first firmware my phone came with or the firmware I set the Reactivation Lock up with? As I recall neither I am just trying roms; does anyone know if I can figure this out by knowing my model and serial number in combination with my IMEI number?
Finally, understandably Samsung refused to help as it is their opinion that I have stolen this device. I mean can't just see the history of my device with my IMEI and S/N . I hope that someone can help, while I do not like running Stock that would probably needs to do. Luckily, I have not updated my device to 5.1 and I can use PingPongRoot.
So does anyone have a similar problem? Or am I an unique idiot?

Reflash with stock 5.1.1 ROM via odin.

Rooted Galaxy Core Prime SM-G360T1 wont boot after Metro PCS logo

So after i rooted my phone everything was working fine but then a message saying "unauthorized changes have been made to phone restart to undo changes" i accidentally clicked restart and once the phone got to the metro screen it froze there.
I've tried using the recovery.tar on Odin but nothing changes i even factory restored/wiped cache multiple times so can anyone help me out/tell me what i'm doing wrong?
If you want to recover from any type of error. Simply restore using the original firmware from this device. (An almost identical thing happened to me last night, but thankfully i was able to recovery thanks to the support from this forum and also being able to download the stock firmware.)

Ive had this proble, you just have to be patient, it will boot after the logo its loading files in the background
I had the same problem. But no matter how long I waited it would never get past the metro pcs logo. I had to go into recovery and erase and format. I was then able to get into android but I now have to wait 72 hours for google to unlock the phone. Part of the new security feature of lollipop. Once I get in I will disable the feature.

Stuck on "Checking network" after factory reset

Just realized i posted this in the wrong area and I'm not sure how to delete. Phone is a galaxy s7 edge. Sorry.
So i rooted my phone, deleted something i shouldn't have, then had to use odin to fix it after i got stuck in a boot loop (i think i used this: G935AUCU4BQF3). The phone starts up, says there was an authorized attempt... etc, ask for a wifi connection, then gets stuck on checking network. I bought the phone in the US, but I am currently living in China. I have tried 3 different wifi connections, and tried using a VPN.. but it still hangs. I have also tried wiping cache partition and wipe data/factory reset in the recovery. I believe i was originally on whatever update came out in November (i think i remember my phone doing an update). Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been looking for a solution for 3 days, and have yet to come up with anything. Asking for help here was my final option.
There's been a couple of other members with the same problem, unable to connect to enter Google credentials and remove the FRP lock
Not sure if a solution was found but if you search this Q&A forum section you should come across a couple of threads about it
