[Q] Reactivation lock remains enabled - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, recently I have ****ed up in a rush to reset my phone apparently I reset it in such a way that now I am only able to login with my own Samsung account due to the problem of an 'abnormal factory reset'. If I set my phone up with my Samsung account nothing is wrong and I can just use my device. Only know when I try to disable the Reactivation Lock from Settings > Lockscreen and Security > FInd My Mobile, while typing my correct password I just get thrown back to the Find My Mobile section and the Reactivation Lock goes back on. While my device remains fully functional I fear that I can not install custom roms/bootloaders etc. and I will be limited to stock Android from Samsung. I can also see and locate my device in account.samsung.com, but here I can also not remove the Reactivation Lock.
What I have done already is;
Reset my device via Settings > Backups and reset > Factory data reset. However, this did not work.
Another reset using the volume up + home + power button, also reset the device, but the problem with the 'abnormal factory reset' remains.
I also used Smartswitch to update my device, but the update did not fix anything
I am also not able to detect my device in KIES Emergency Firmware Recovery. I can and have performed a firmware update with KIES, however this also did not work.
Even flashing the original firmware with which my phone came via ODIN did not solve this problem; I successfully flashed this device, but the problem persists. Important: I have flashed the phone with the firmware I believe to be its first as I can not exactly recall what this firmware was. So what firmware do I need the very first firmware my phone came with or the firmware I set the Reactivation Lock up with? As I recall neither I am just trying roms; does anyone know if I can figure this out by knowing my model and serial number in combination with my IMEI number?
Finally, understandably Samsung refused to help as it is their opinion that I have stolen this device. I mean can't just see the history of my device with my IMEI and S/N . I hope that someone can help, while I do not like running Stock that would probably needs to do. Luckily, I have not updated my device to 5.1 and I can use PingPongRoot.
So does anyone have a similar problem? Or am I an unique idiot?

[Q] Lock Screen, won't lock

I'm using a Rogers Infuse 4G and seem to be having difficulties with my lock screen to prompt for a password/pin.
I had previously rooted my phone, and used MIUI, Infused, and a few other ROM's. the issue started on my last install of Infused. If I set a password, or pin it prompts, prompts for confirmation then goes back to the password options screen.
When I lock my device, or reboot, it does not prompt for the PIN/Password. Strangely enough, Pattern works, but, because I use my phone on an exchange email system, I'm forced to use a password/pin.
So I decided that maybe the ROM was bad, so I redownloaded and flashed the device, clearing cache, user data and dalvik cache. Same issue. Failing that, I used ODIN to reload a stock rooted Rogers PDA and Phone image back on to the device.
Rebooted, ran SuperOneClick to Unroot the device, and I have the same issue. Are the infuses like iPhones, where the PIN is stored in a hardware chip? Is it possible that, if this is the case, that chip is somehow not functioning?
I'm having difficulties figuring out why a Rogers Infuse Gingerbread ROM can't update the security settings
Any help is appreciated
Bump.
Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I've tried re-flashing using ODIN and a PIT file + PDA_UXKG3_rooted_no_bootloaders_v2.tar.md5 and PHONE_UXKG3.tar.md5
For whatever reason, my phone still refuses to save whatever password I put in for the lock screen.

S6 (SM-G920W8) Sent for Warranty

I have sent my S6 in for warranty if anyone would like to know anything about how my experience is with samsung let me know.
Yesterday my S6 froze and started boot loop couldn't access the stock recovery I wasn't able to power down the device so I had to let it die. I was only able to get to download mode knox wasn't tripped. After hours and hours trying to fix the phone I was able to get kies to install the stock firmware to the device after everything was done no errors the phone restarted and no matter what it still didn't boot still couldn't access recovery or power down the device. What I did notice though in download mode Odin said "System Status: Custom" But the Binery is still "Samsung Offical" it had changed after I tried to save the device with kies. I am unsure if "System Status: Custom" will effect my warranty.
if you can get it back into download mode, then look for the knox code and if it changes from 0 to 1 or says 0x10000 instead od 0x0000 or anything changes besides 0 (0x000) your phone has identified that the system was faulted by the flash and therefore your warranty is now void because the knox security system has changed from the original setting. If it says custom most likely it has detected as well that the system was flipped but because you said it still says samsung official they may let it slide. But im not sure what that means i believe is that the phone is an official samsung and that the flash was an official samsung code but it wasnt the original code on the phone. Sometimes a flash on the phone will change the imei so that could mean why the phone is now custom, More than likely though the repair person will have to flash your system anyway and if that doesnt work then your motherboard isnt being read by NAND and you probably need a replacement, i have been up solving mine and calling eveyr technincian store, repair person, and customer service since my phone did what yours did about 3am this morning. Ive got no sleep had about 3break downs and sadly i think it needs to just be professionally checked. My NAND keeps getting a write fail and nothing is passing over to my phone. i can still get into the recovery mode to perform factory resets and cache wipes but it says dm-veridity verification failed and even after multiple factory resets and cache wipes and accidentally hitting the adb button it has led me no where but a continous boot. My phone is only 12days old. Samsung will cover it because i didnt knock my warranty or show evident of any faulting with the OS. The phone had done a update to a new firmware and once that finished i did a factory reset from the phone settings and when i went back to wipe the cache the phone shut down and since then hasnt been able to go past the logo SAMSUNG GALAXY s6 screen powered by android. So as upset and dissastisfied as i am with the phone, i definately appreciate all the youtube videos, forums, repair technicians, and customer service advice i got today. I have definately learned more than i needed to know lol and downloaded about every type of odin available and both firmwares for the lollipop 5.1.1. for samsung galaxy and the original 5.02 the 5.02 got the farthest in download until it shut down because of the written fail and then again because of COM port, but the other one didnt even get past system configuration so i guess something needs to be looked at immediately. If you know anything please do respond back to this message before i send mine off thanks a bunch lovelies:good::good:
my phone is a samgun galaxy s6 with model SM-G290P (sprint), i was originally on android 5.02 i guess but i got the phone activated in stores so when it was given to me from the moment i had it i was on 5.1.1. , i also noticed that my phone goes through odin mode easily but wont connect to the computer i have installed the smart switch, uninstalled after it failed to work with kies, i have installed the mobile drive individually and it picked it up on odin but wont pick it up on smart switch. I do know that if i can locate my s/n number then i can just plug it into smart switch to do the factory flash but i cant locate the s/n number being my phone is turned off. i tried the DEC,HEX AKA IMEI, ICC ID, RS UNDER THE BARCODE, AND none of these codes seem to be a valid s/n number. if someone could assist me with that i would be TREMENDOUSLY GREATFULLLLL!!! ALSO BEFORE i could just click my power button once and the phone would come on now i have to slightly hold it a few second for it to even show the logo.i have also noticed that if i charge my phone the phone loops otherwise if i go to download and cancel and then power on the device manually then it shows the logo once and then shuts off. so hurt you guys!

On the recovery mode update using ADB is disabled apparently and so is the option to update using external storage the apply update from cache is deprecated too and also when i started having a problem when i hit the power button home button and the volume up it showed the little android man died now it shows he is ok and up right like normal but the dm-verity verification failed still , I AM ABLE TO SEE EVERY LOG IVE RECREATED IN RECOVERY UP UNTILT EH VERY FIRST CACEH WIPE I DID THE DAY AFTER I RECIEVED THE PHONE. IS THERE A WAY I CAN TAKE THE IMAGE OR INFO FROM THIS TO REFLASH THE PHONE MAYBE?!!?!?:highfive:
Have patience. Your S6 willbe fixed soon by Samsung.

Cant seem to factory reset my e6653 nougat

Hello everyone,im having a huge issue with my device of late. It randomly just freezes up now and then and i have to do a hard reset to switch it off then. Since this has been happening i decided to do a factory reset on my device and start fresh.
Problem with that is that my phone wont let me do a factory reset by going into the settings menu and then selecting backup & reset and then going into the factory reset menu. Once there and i try to tap the reset tab, it does nothing at all. Is there another way that i can reset my device?
If anyone has any suggestions for me,id really appreciate hearing from you. My device is the E6653 and it is not rooted or bootloader unlocked if thats essential.
since factory reset is next to re flashing your device
consider reflashing using FLASHTOOL. ( even when you device has locked bootloader you can still flash untouched rom)
some time back a user having z5p ( device name Satsuki) was asking how to flash so i gave him good short tutorial at
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71394777&postcount=3
the same applies for you too! but select SUMIRE in the list and see your country , select correct build version / download and flash

S7 stuck with EFS lock and FRP lock

Hi Guys,
My relative has a stock Australian S7 SM-G930F which has an issue trying to boot, it was running standard optus firmware and just stopped working one day, stuck at samsung screen.
So I tried to perform a factory reset from recovery and still same issue it cannot access the EFS partition.
So I go to try to load a stock firmware and same issue.
I found this article which looks like it should restore access to the EFS partition https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/general/how-to-fix-efailed-to-mount-efs-invalid-t2858056 but whenever I try to load a custom recovery I get FRP lock so it looks like from my reading I am stuck and my relative now has a flashy brick?
Cannot seem to get ADB to work I assume because it has never had USB debugging enabled.
It has never been rooted, custom firmware or anything.
The only thing that works is download mode with ODIN. But since EFS is corrupted/inaccessible and FRP is locked I don't see a solution.
Anyone come across this issue before and how to solve?
It is not under warranty and is slightly damaged so not worth sending back for repair.
Same case
Exactly the same case with me. My device stuck on "Galaxy S7 logo", when I tried to enter recovery mode , got message failed to mount /efs, already tried to flashing with original rom, but still the same.
Then I tried to install twrp, but I got FRP locked.
If anyone can help us maybe there's some steps that I've missed

Recover data of frozen Samsung Galaxy A51 SM-A515F

Hello,
my friends Samsung Galaxy A51 crashed while using it, opening a google docs link she received via WhatsApp.
Restarting the phone will only show Samsung logo, then Samsung Galaxy A51 logo and then dead again. No boot loop.
In the morning the wake up alarm set in the phone plays its chimes but display remains black.
Rebooting phone with holding volume down doesn't work.
The phone is not rooted or flashed.
I can enter Recovery mode. Tried to restart system. Tried to delete cache. Tried to repair apps. None of this changed anything.
I can connect via adb but only in Sideload mode. Hoped to unsintall Samsung Browser as this might be a damaged app. But I don't have permission because USB debugging is not toggled. I tried adb restart and adb restart recovery. Phone will no restart to Android. Restarting to recovery works but doesn't solve the problem.
I can bring the phone to Download mode. Btw. none of the tutorials helped to do this. At some point I double-tapped the power button and was surprised to get into Download mode. I wanted to flash TWRP recovery to the phone to get more options to backup and recovery. Unfortunatley the OEM protection did not allow me to flash TWRP recovery.
My friend is from Ukraine and has her Ukrainian banking app registered with this phone and currently no other possibility to access her bank account. Also she has a lot of data like contacts, messages, photos and videos only on this phone. So we can not do a factory reset.
Do you have any other ideas for troubleshooting?
Do you have any ideas how to remove OEM protection without access to OS so I can at least flash TWRP and do a backup?
Do you have any other idea how I could backup the phone?
Unfortunately I still have not been successful to get the phone working again or to backup or read any data.
Just to add another information: I drained the battery to 0% so the phone was totally dead. I was not optimistic that this full power off might help any more than the restarts I did so far. But running out of ideas. It didn't help or change anything.
I'm afraid only a factory reset could at least repair the phone :-(

Without OEM-Unlocking and USB-Debugging you will not be able to install TWRP and if so then all data would be gone automatically anyway, as this is equivalent to a factory reset.
The only way would be to download the STOCK-ROM with "Frija" (quick and free) and flash it with "Odin". Of course, the mobile phone is then virgin and has to be set up again from the beginning. A Google login restores a lot of data. Setting up the banking app again (username & password, etc.) shouldn't be a problem either.
Of course you can also try a factory reset first, but setting up a completely new one is not avoided here either.
Much luck!
