Bounty for s-off - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I wasnt going to do another bounty but let's face it. Without s-off development will fall off. With s- off HTC and at&t can go screw themselves. So here goes. No conditions on pledges. Just an amount. Let's get this done.
Bounty will be paid to the first individual or team to present a repeatable method for gaining S-off on the HTC One X(L) Evita. The method must be one that is REPEATABLE by an average user with very low chance of brick. I want to say NO chance of brick but hell bricks happen.
I will be in charge of deciding who gets the bounty.
Please NOTE:
Our last Bounty went very well with all of the proceeds going to charity. I don't expect a repeat of beaups' awesome generosity, so you shouldn't either.

Inspire $49.99 @ RS

Went to Radio Shack today to buy an Inspire case. The guy asked me what I paid for the phone - $99.99 of course. He said they had it for $49.99 through today.
I had seen that earlier in the week but assumed it was a misprint. It wasn't!
So I headed over to Bestbuy where I bought mine two weeks ago, armed with a RS ad & my rewards card and got 50 bucks refunded. No questions asked.
And to think a guy at Radio Shack told me go do it.
Don't know if it's nationwide, but maybe this will help someone.
Wow...I got my Inspire from bestbuy as well. So I can get an ad from radio shack and take it to bestbuy and they'll refund me $50?
I got mine at radio shack like 2 weeks ago for 99.99 and i just brought my receipt back and got my 50 dollars back from them dropping the price, i love price guarantees
You guys are talking about 49.99 with an upgrade right? Because I'm going to be buying an inspire for 300 bucks (1 year discount at AT&T store, factored from renewal price + 200 dollars) and was wondering if maybe radio shack could get me a phone for 249 instead of the 300 with the deal.
Any idea with radio shack does 1 year discounts? And also is the 49 dollars only today, because if so just disregard this post :3
will this only work today? cuz i dont have time to go today and are the ads online or do u actually have to go to one?
Does anyone know if ATT would do a refund if I brought the ad in?
I do not think ATT will match rs price

Are you allowed to say what exactly the deal is?
Starting Sunday bring in your old phone and trade it in to get the Inspire for fifty bucks at RadioShack. Any phone that works will get you the fifty dollar trade in credit towards the phone.

Staples has been selling the Inspire for $49.99 w/new contract or upgrade.
I got mine from radio shack 3 days ago for $49.99 as an upgrade straight. I know about the trade in phone, that deal was two weeks ago, $99.99 but if you bring a working phone its $50.00 instant off. I liked last weeks deal $49.99 new 2 yr contract or upgrade, total $53.53 and it took 15 mins, opposed to ATT $99.99 for an hour of BS. Thanks RS!
I got mine at Amazon for 69.99+ no tax - $35 refund for late 4G sim card delivery
For the phone trade-in, is their a specification on which phone? Or could I buy one of the $20 go phones and then trade that in?
Yes thats what i did for one, bought 15$ throwaway and traded it in. The recycle is good on any phone i believe. Gotta call bull**** on a couple of these posts, everyone wants to claim the best deal. How it werked for me was 99 dollar phone - 50 credit PLUS tax on radio shacks price for the phone... (almost $50.00) then att matches the 50.00 rebate.....
Mine came out to.67.00$.... maybe this bull**** tax.thing.is only in cali?
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I would have to say that it is only in Cali because I just sold one from my RadioShack and it came to 54 and change after tax and trade in.

[Q] Low priced Sensation 4G?

Anyone have any idea where can buy an HTC Sensation 4G for $250? Not rioted, not unlocked, just stock and refurbished (as if I could get an unsubsidized one for so low) ? I'm getting into porting random ROMs to the myTouch 4G, but I need a secondary Android phone for when the MT4G blows up on me.
you will never find it for $250. Even a used mint one on craigslist is a bit below $400. Unless you can find a really stupid seller
Trust me, there's a lot of stupid sellers out there.
How far from your upgrade date are you? I just upgraded for $199+tax, no upgrade fee, no rebate necessary and free shipping. My full upgrade wasn't for another 6 months. The price that I was offered on t-mobile.com was $329-$50 rebate + tax and upgrade fee. Total upfront cost would have been about $375. I called retentions and they hooked me up. Total upfront cost ended up being $235. I'm still going to send off for the rebate and I'll probably get it too.

Actually, I bought my phone off contract.
If you're looking to get it off contact, to get one for the price you're looking to pay you'll probably have to wait for a while for resale prices to come down or accept one with some damage.

The only thing I can think of is get one for $350, then flip it for $450, then get another for $350 and there you go.

Lol that means you would have to find two sellers that would sell their sensations for 350 AND then sell your sensation for 450. Thatspretty hard

Want your MT4GS cheap? :D

Yeah, Sams is selling them for $144 via web, and in store if you can find one that's a TMo dealer.
Fry's however is selling them for $99.99. And they still qualify for the $50 MiR on top of that.
Figure I'd share the savings for those who happen to be near a Fry's.
Are these with or without contract extensions? Do you know? If you can buy them flat out for that much it wouldn't be a bad idea to invest in several of them...
That's with the contract extension sadly.
Otherwise I'd have grabbed 3 or 4 and be selling the others.
any idea how much they are at sams club no contract?
From what I've seen, Full Retail. If you're going to get one off-contract it doesn't matter where you grab it at, they're all the same price....
Not on Craigslist. I got mine for $300.
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using XDA Premium App
Kinda don't think that counts as they're not an actual distribution source for ANYTHING, let alone TMo Phones....
/eyeroll
Well, I'm using my rooted MT4GS right now. Distribution center or not. Maybe someone else will appreciate paying less for a no-contract solution. I'm using mine with the Simple Mobile all you can eat voice/text/data plan for $60.
Sent from my myTouch_4G_Slide using XDA Premium App
And of course that allows you to be a self-important ****.
Oh, but considering that 2 weeks before buying mine I had already converted contracts and was under a 2 year contract. So I extended by a total of 2 weeks and got the phone for $50 after MiR. Oh, and I'm only paying $50 for unlimited everything anyway.
I was just trying to give people options. No need for namecalling.

[BOUNTY - WON] Unlocking the Bootloader on the AT&T One X ~ PLEASE PAY YOUR PLEDGES

[BOUNTY - WON] Unlocking the Bootloader on the AT&T One X ~ PLEASE PAY YOUR PLEDGES
UPDATE 5/24/12
A working method of obtaining an unlocked bootloader has been posted:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671396
The bounty has therefore been won by grankin01. Please pay your pledged amounts to Paypal at: [email protected]
Please post on here that you have paid (by method to be determined) and I will indicate so next to your name below.
====================================================================================================
This thread is for tracking pledges toward a bounty for unlocking the bootloader on the AT&T version of the One X. I've set up this bounty at the suggestion of some users here. I know a lot of work is going on over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1639972
And it would be good to give the hard working devs some motivation, and a reward for all the hours of hard work.
This bounty is only for unlocking the bootloader on the AT&T version of the One X. There is a separate bounty for S-Off on the international version of the One X here:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642922
Whether a method to get S-Off on the international version will also work on the AT&T version, I don't think can be determined yet. So if you own the AT&T version, whether you pledge toward S-Off on the international forum is your decision.

This thread is for tracking purposes only, and will be maintained by me as a courtesy. I do not claim any responsibility for collecting pledges, or transferring them to the winning developer. Payment of pledges will be on the honor system. Its your responsibility to pay the winning developer.
Lastly, feel free to "thank" me for this thread. Nowhere near the contribution that the devs regularly make to XDA. But its a bit of work tracking the pledges, and a small thanks would be greatly appreciated.
Add me for $20
Mark me down for $30

I'm down for 20 if an unlock is offered before HTCDev get's their act together.

My $20 will be for an unofficial solution only before AT&T allows the use of HTC Dev. I will be willing to give half of that if it's after.
$50 before ATT/HTCDev
mark me down for $50, and half of that if it's after HTCdev.
Put me down for $30 regardless of HTCDev unlock.
Put me down for a $20 donation towards some beer or pizza. Whatever. Keep up the good fight fellas.
I'm lovin the generous pledges.. The bounty should grow pretty quick if others follow the trend... Once it gets worthwhile I'm sure there will be some effort... Thanks op and everyone who donates!
I'll do $50 before ATT/HTCDev. PM me if this happens as I dont check these forums everyday.
I will Donate 20.00

Sorta off topic question

Well, right now Telus (My carrier) is ripping me off for $50 a month for 100MB of data. Of course it used to be $40 that kept rising magically with some random fees and then overcharging me monthly. Is there any way to get out of the contract (Leftover phone fees from my desire) early?
