Cannot open the Sms/Mms or send it

Hi guys, sorry for my poor english. I have a problem, i can't send sms or view it. When i click the icon of the sms in the today screen, doesn't appear anithyng. When i select a contact and try to send an sms, doesn't appear anithyng. Help Me Please!
Thanks
Can i delete the sms trough file explorer? Where are the sms in the windows folder?
I had that problem too or at least a similar. I found out that the reason was that the system had created two folders for e-mail attachments. This apparently lead to some confusing on which folder to use and thus the whole thing refused to start.
After deleting both folders everything worked as a charm again The folder then gets recreated next time it needs to store an attachment, so no worries there!
How can i delete this folder if i can't access to outlook/sms window?
weird timing, I just posted the same problem just now:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=486297
Snapphane's fix worked for me, or at least it allows me to access the mail part of outlook so far (I have not re- set up the email accounts- it looks like all of my mail has still disappeared).
I went to the storage card with file explorer, and deleted a folder called something like "inbox.msi.233406...", and now all of a sudden I can get into the mail fine.
Thanks snapphane, and lets hope it keeps working!
but i haven't mail, i have only sms and they are in Phone memory...
EDIT: I've solved with your solution!!! VERY THANKS!!!
thanks alot for your solution worked for me fine thanks alot
No such folder
I've the same problem, but there is no such folder
can you give more more information about the how do you solve it ?>
thanks in advance

Broken "Messaging" -no sms -no mail accounts

Hey Guys - I have a huge Problem ...
I was playing around with SKtools and "optimizing" the registry ... I dont know if this has anything to do with it and its the first time i'm posting here for a Problem ..
following problem : in Manila tag "messages" there are no more messages - all my sms are gone and im not able to create new ones ... i also cannot access "messaging" in start menue or settings...
same with mail accounts - cannot see mine nor create or edit a new one ...
can anyone help me please ? is this just a broken link somewhere ? Are my messages still eventually stored anywhere and if yes where ?
i would really appreciate your Help
sorry for my english
It could be registry errors.
Try to restore your backup.
well ... i dont find any option for a backup in sk tools concerning automated optimisation of the registry ..
then hard reset is another option...
next time install a proper backup tools like Sprite Backup & backup regularly
well i know
it seems that outlook is broken - is there a possibility to manually search the files/folders where sms and mail messages are stored ?
As long as your WM not discarded all the corrupted data may be you still can get it.
but I'm not sure b'coz I have never try that before.
yes - thats what i thought .. the data might still be present ...
does anyone know the folder / file where sms and mail messages are normally stored ? also I cant't find the "tmail.exe" in my System - does this have to do anything with it ? Is someone out there who has a little background knowledge ?
I had the same problem. It was fixed by going to the sd card and deleting some folder called ~"Inbox.1234123" or something.
Its some error b/c of having 2 different folders for storing attachments. Deleting that folder fixed it for me. It still pops up every now and then, i go and delete that folder, and all works perfect afterwards...

Click to collapse
Brilliant. Had this problem and two of these files (as I'm on a mac I only have my contacts etc backed up, but not my entire system)
Thus removing these two files saved me a lot of pain.
Thanks!

[Q] Android: Exchange, Google Sync -> Attachments Corrupted

Just noticed this rather odd behaviour...
I've a Desire running Leedroid, and have set up Google Sync in Exchange.
The text contents of emails are received perfectly fine, but when I try to view attachments, that's when issues come in.
Originally I had Exchange set to download all attachments. While this would show every attachment as downloaded (and have the staple icon with the size), if I tried to open them, it would say "The file cannot be opened because it is corrupted."
I then changed it to never download attachments, and would fetch attachments manually. Now, if I did this, I could get the attachment, with the option to open directly or save to SD card. Either would be successful, and I could do either after the other IF I did not leave the email in question.
If I then pressed back and went back to the inbox list, then back into the email, trying to open the downloaded (and viewed! and saved!) attachment would result in the same error message as before.
What's going on?
Hi,
if anyone found please help its urgent
o.o
Dunno who that guy is, but yeah, still wanting to know if anyone knows why this is happening... closest thing I found was something that occurs on Droid phones, but the option that 'fixes' it (something about accepting all SSL certificates) doesn't appear on my phone.
I'm facing the same problem too. All my attachments are being automatically downloaded and saved. I am able to open the saved files but not the one's in the mail.
Anyone please help

[Q] How to View .db-wal files correctly?

Please can somebody help? I urgently need to view a db-wal file (contacts2.db-wal to be exact) but can find no prog that will open it correctly, i have tried SQlite but cant understand how to use it, it just keeps giving errors.
Its the only backup of my wife's contacts that I lost from her sim, gmail, etc.
I can see phone numbers names etc using word, notepad, WordPad etc but its a mess, they are all mixed and matched over the place with bizarre text and icons everywhere
If anybody can help I would be extremely grateful
Thanks

[Q] How to copy/paste between apps on S5 KitKat

I had a Droid4 on both ICS and JB for years and don't recall this issue. I just upgraded to an GS5 this month and found that copy/paste doesn't always work (read never works as expected).
Example: Copy text from Chrome to Message+
I want to send an address of a company to someone in a text. I long press, select, copy in chrome. I then switch apps and go to Message+. In message, I long press and paste. Instead of the address, it pastes some phone number I copied at some other time.
In the last few days I noticed that sometimes I can copy text and when I go to paste it won't bring the menu up as though there's nothing in the clipboard (no context for what I was doing there, don't remember).
What am I doing wrong? This is the same process I've always used on Android so either the Galaxy is different, KitKat is different, or I'm not understanding how some of the apps on the GS5 work compared to my old D4.
The interesting thing is that if I copy the same text from Chrome and paste into a text box in the same page, I can then copy that text and paste it into Message+. That leads me to believe there's something in the copied text string that the clipboard is unhappy with pasting into Message+.
