JellyBean StatusBar
A statusbar replacement for any Android phone even without root!
I know the app has been published for awhile but we have been busy... so...
JellyBean StatusBar is a statusbar replacement app that covers the stock statusbar. JellyBean StatusBar is themed to clone the latest Android 4.1 update. This statusbar replacement features notifications, notification counters, all network/wifi signals, battery indicator, battery %, and all font changed to Roboto. This is as close as you can get to having the latest statusbar without root or a custom rom!

A virus warning? No its not a virus! It is StartApp. Its how we make our money and provide free apps cause Android suers are so cheap! StartApp uses search advertising and does not steal your info like other push ads. It is Look out mobile security safe and complies with all of Googles Policies. For more info contact us! Do not let Avast and other 3rd party scanner fool you with out research or proof. Why would you want some wacky virus scanner going through all your files and reading anything it wants anyways.
Wow! Thanks for this! Will have a go at this, though it seems to have a low rating and lots of complain :/
Are you the developer?

Yes. The low rating was from the notifications not working at first. Just make sure accessibility is on. This is our testing app for our newest project being released tonight. This was our first attempt at a statusbar replacement. Check out ICS StatusBar by us for a higher rating
Just published update.
Nice work, just unplugged my charger and the notification is just a blue square and when I clear it from the notification bar its still showing when the notification bar is closed. Love the icons for bat etc

This may not be the answer you want, but it is IMPOSSIBLE for an app to tell when a notification is cleared
When i say that, i really mean it. So far anyways...
So, you will have to learn to clear it by opening the app and the statusbar will clear the icon. I know annoying. But when you open the app it only has to be for a second. So click the notification, wait .1 of a second, click home and its cleared lol.
In the future i will add a notification button to the drop down menu of the statusbar panel that will clear all icons off the statusbar if any get stuck.

Yes I know what you mean but when I plug my charger in to my phone and plug it out i get a notification to say my charger is unplugged and as far as I know I don't have a app to open for my charger. But your button that you add will fix this.

It really depends. On my NS it stays under 24mb, but some people report it higher. Try clearing its cache, turn it off, restart it to frefresh it if it get too high. It should get too high though.
So to answer your question, if you have a good device, you will be fine!

Yes, i will add that in too
I came across this in the market few days ago.
Now before I say anything rude, I did everything correct.
This is not at all a jelly bean status bar, when it was pulled down it was stock ICS.
So I'd like to say you should rename this app an ICS status bar. In no way did it resemble Jb.

Its using 35.7m on my galaxy Note. Stock ICS 4.04.
Like the blue instead of crappy touchwizz green, just wish it replaced the pulldown as well, now that would be something! Keep up the good work.
---------- Post added 7th August 2012 at 12:09 AM ---------- Previous post was 6th August 2012 at 11:16 PM ----------
Also I use apex launchers swipe action to show/hide the bar, hiding it is fine, but when showing it the stock status bar is appears for a second before the jellybean one kicks in, u need to speed it up a bit. Thanks again.

I will keep that in mind! I would love to replace the pull down, but seriously, Android takes security for notifications a little far. There is no control over it. The only fear i have with replacing the pull down is missing notifications that may not appear. That would be pretty bad. But like i said, i will keep it in mind :good:
Updates released and available!
Where?! Play store says last updated July 8th.
Keeps crashing , unable to use ( ICS 4.0.3, all stock , SGS2 )

Trailblazer101's Ticker Modification Package!
Hey All, finally decided to release this package of mine
Before I begin, I'd like to share that this should be flashed on a plain EC09/EC07 rom, deodexed and all... I would prefer if you tried it on EC07 clean, and if you try it on Miunia and it doesn't work, that's why It replaces almost all of the Framework files, for compatibility, but I'll guess we'll see
What this Mod Does:
-removed unnecessary "0" in front of times below "10"
-Holding down on the date/time acts as a button, with customizable text taking the place of the date, and the color of the time changing... When released, two different things could happen: If screen is off, then it'll unlock the phone; if its on, then it'll open the Clock Package!
-Now, to open up the WeatherBug program from the Weather Icon, you must hold the icon down until the beautiful overlay appears... Then release, and it'll open! This prevents accidental bumps, which happened to me all the time... [I'm left handed ]
-Long-Pressing the "Missed Notification" icons will open up the given screen, whether you have any notifications or not! Very Handy
-The New Event Ticker Screen, including the New Message, Email, and etc, now behaves like the RSS Ticker Screen--Adding a Nice blue color when touched, to indicate it has been...
-Also my "Blue-Wave" Mod with "New Events" is in there too
-New, easier to look at StandbyView format... I like it lots Matches what the boot animation looks like, which i always loved
-In Ticker Music View, the Song name now scrolls when it is too big! Nice little touch *Will not scroll when the music is paused, and you then skip songs, and after for the first song after minimizing the "MusicPlayer" app... (Because you should've already of seen the full title!)
-Quick Launch Menu! Hold down the "Ticker History Button" from anywhere (*as long as Ticker Music Screen isn't active with Music Playing) to launch the Quick Launch Menu! These icons provide an easy way to get to your favorite, predetermined (Sorry, ) programs.. Pressing the Close button will do just that
-Standby Screen! Have you ever been in your room, dark as could be, with "Screen Filter" on to lower the brightness of the screen, but then you notice that the ticker is not affected, and your eyes begin to water ? Maybe it's not that extreme, but if you hold down the close button revealed after holding down the Ticker History Button, you are greeted with a black screen with some clickable gentle-to-look at text. Clicking the text will bring you back to the normal screen!
- Completely Redone "Return to Call" Mod is included! Now includes four buttons, Return To, Mute, Speaker, and End the Call Buttons are completely working, with notification light indicating that they are on! This took me a longggg timeee to do, a project that has been going on for at least a year, on and off... It took so long, because I had to completely incorporate the speaker and mute buttons into the phone, because what if you push the speaker button from the status bar, and not the ticker? Everything needed to be linked... I edited Phone.apk, framework.jar, framework-res, and services.jar in order to get it to work perfectly, like it does today

any chance you can make the clock on the Ticker centered? Always bugged me to see it off-center right above the Samsung logo that is nicely centered, especially when the ticker history button and weather buttons are removed.
Yeah, I could do that probably
Just because you don't have any new messages, missed calls, emails, voicemails, or IMs doesn't mean the icons in the Missed Notification Screen should go to waste Why not make it so tapping them opens up their respective apps anyways, making a quick, convenient shortcut Oh, and the Voicemail icon is remapped to Google Voice

Making the ticker better, one step at a time Should have time to upload this finally tonight! It's been done for forever, just never took it out of beta
Edit: The pictures don't represent the final product... I got rid of the blue background, and made it long click... Also, I made the weather icon long click too!

APP Version
Version 2.3
Howdy All, As my thread for the mod version was getting confusing with the 2 different things in it i have put TEAM Battery Bar into it's own thread.
So back around christmass I built my mod form here [MOD]Battery Bar into an app and put it on the market
it has the features of the MOD version but you don't have to mess around with modding your system files.
it uses a persistent service and overlays the battery bar on the top or bottom of the screen.

I have the Battery Bar Pro, latest version from the Play market (v2.0).
I have the option checked to hide the battery bar when the statusbar is hidden (for full screen apps). I am fairly certain this worked a week or two ago when I first upgraded to the Pro version.
However this no longer works. No matter what I do with that option (checked or unchecked) the bar always shows when the statusbar hides.
Phone: Motorola Triumph
Android: 4.0.4 / CM9 alpha 0.6.11.0
Battery Bar Pro version: 2.0
Not sure if this helps or not, but I have the Height set to 2. If I rotate the phone in a fullscreen game, I noticed the bar height changes to 1! Sure enough, if I use 1 as my height then when the phone is rotated it hides the bar properly. It still won't hide in portrait mode though.
I do not have the free version installed.

thx for the confirmation on the dual install, i'll look into it.
pvy, any chance on ever adding multicolored battery bar? Like at 100%... it would show green, orange, and red colors at once instead of just green? It would make things more colorful and interesting also a bit of nostalgia for the old Windows Mobile 5 battery bar app. Sorry, I know I have asked this before but not sure if the idea got passed or forgotten or what Eitherway, great work guy!

Thx bro
Is there any difference in battery/cpu resources used between the mod and the app? On the one hand, I already have a crapload of apps and don't wanna add another unless I have to so I'd like to use the mod. On the other hand, I'm lazy when it comes to doing mods like this, so I'd prefer the app. Then again, having another service running sounds like it would consume (some) additional resources so again, I prefer the mod. On the final hand, I'm extremely unlucky when it comes to doing mods like this, so I prefer the app...
I have no idea what's going on...
:thumbup::beer:
Edit: nvm, looks like the app has more features. Free version worked as advertised, getting the paid version, nice work here! Keep it up!

Sorry, android only allows system apps to change location settings.
GPS can be toggled in this app due to an exploit in the AOSP power-toggle-widget.
But for example on Samsung phones, this is not possible (samsung changed the widget settings).
I would if I could. Long click GPS icon will bring you to the location settings page, wich is still faster then browsing to it with the normal settings app.

Android restricts the toggling to system only. I'm not completely sure though, so I'll do some googling again.

In the new version is written, that the trial version is over. But there was never written that this is an trial version. There are only differences between the functions in the beta and the pro.
Wanted to test the app and than buy the pro, but not like this.

I got a suggestion, tell me if you like it (this will gold for all people):
-User will get a 4 day trial of all functions
-After 4 days, you won't be able to use Configure anymore, and the data already configured will be reset
-When you install the PRO version , everything will come back.
Deal or no deal?
Tell me if you have a suggestion too.

Sure it does. It's not a statusbar replacement, it just has a UI like it.
About swiping it up: I'm working on this, but bugfixes are more important in my opinion.
You can press the statusbar close shade anyway to close it, it'll do the same as the back button.

by the way, I think the name is a bit too common and not distinguished
when I search "quick setting" on play store, a bunch of different apps come out and I cannot find yours
Hey ima buy the pro version if you include hide the icon in status bar and when status bar is expanded cus I found a way to toggle the settings just by gesture 2 fingers down. With tsf shell launcher thanks

Can this app show details of which apps were using the internet and how many mbs they have consumed? Seems interesting for limited data plan users like myself

awesome
very nice, unlimited data but i still like to see what kind of connection i'm getting
bought full version
thanks
Lovely app but 50 mb limit kinda sucks
Indirectly you are forcing people to purchase the app
Maybe you should remove the limit and only keep themeable options to the pro version

I want to second that. I get that you wanna make money off this but forcing people to buy the app is lame. You could use ads instead for the free version and an ad-free and themeable paid version.
Thanks for this

This is an awesome app. Love it. Also purchased it.
Just discovered a minor issue though. If I've enabled the status bar and notification options in settings, if I receive an email (Gmail) or SMS, I lose all the quick options such as deleting an email or reply, read, call options for SMS etc.
Is there some way of fixing this? I want to see the current transfer rate in the status bar but also want the quick options available for certain apps.
Thanks
Plz make option to customize the smart notification as some1 only want to show information about the wifi not mobile data....
Once more plz make an option to show upload speed separatly

Thanks for info. I looked into it, but, this is not a bug. This is how android notification works. Android automatically expands the notification which is on the top and collapse all the notification below it.
Though you can still manually expand the notification by double finger swipe down gesture on the notification.

Learnt something new - I never actually knew you could double-finger down swipe on a notification.
Thanks! :good:

Don't want to brick my phone like everyone else, but really want 4.4
What are some everyday changes that are actually improved? I know the Changelog, but what have YOU noticed and said "hey, thats a pretty cool improvement"?
Thanks

ive noticed a stronger LTE connection.. Touchless Control is more responsive in louder environments. I like being able to switch launchers with ease.. I go from the stock moto launcher to kit kat to nova so easily to show customers (i work for a Verizon Indirect retailer)
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the update.

- The status bar transparency (only enabled by default on the lockscreen, though Nova supports it as well) is kinda cool, but it also looks kinda dumb since Verizon made Motorola keep the icons blue istead of white for some reason.
- On the bright side, I can now see the battery percentage inside the icon at all times since it's white-on-blue instead of white-on-white like on Nexus devices.
- I like how it now displays full-screen album art on the lockscreen while music is playing (though now I'll have to put some time into higher-res artwork)
- Being able to select my launcher directly from the system settings is pretty convenient.
- The drag-to-focus update for the camera is a pretty cool.
- I enabled ART but honestly didn't notice too much a difference, and had to revert back to Dalvik due to WhatsApp being incompatible with ART.
(Minor) downsides:
- The battery icon is no longer aligned with the signal bars
- The notification icons are still blue
- No KitKat dialer (yet?)
- No camera icon with on the lockscreen

I was wondering the same thing....Battery % and "reboot" in the power menu are two big omissions.
So, do tell, how did you get a battery %.

never knew this was around. Thank you so much! You have helped make my device a better device tonight! A christmas present from XDA! woohoo!!
Just a reply, after you enable battery percentage, you can remove the app and the change stays. Seems like all Android devices 4.4 can do the percent naively, this just toggles this setting.
Wonder what other hidden settings are in KitKat.

One plus is that I lost root lol. I need it as everybody else!
I'm a Fitbit user and take a lot of pictures. For me, the update (Fitbit support and touch-to-focus) obviously makes an everyday difference.
I use MX Player while I exercise, almost every day. Immersive mode with it is nice. More apps will have to adopt this before it becomes something I really care about. The thing where the lockscreen has music art is more of a noticeable design upgrade. Together, the immersive thing, lockscreen art, and transparent notification (I actually hide mine, though) make for the beginnings of a feeling of a polished and cool UX.
The thing to do would be to get two phones next to each other, one with the update and one without, and see if the updated one really is snappier (including task switching).
EDIT - Totally forgot: The wireless charging sound respecting my volume setting as well as the volume coming back on in the morning after Assist finishes sleep mode are huge. SO glad to have those issues resolved.
Yeah, so after a ton of fear of making the move to 4.4 Completely worth it.
When it started booting back up and rooted still (YAY) 4.4 is amazing.
Gravitybox + Xtheme (nexus 5 theme), you really can't tell the difference.
Just cant wait for Xposed to support ART. every reboot switches back to Dalvik
Another downside to 4.4 if not rooted is it removes native USB OTG. Menova USB drive no longer works without 3rd party software. Kinda pissed about this one.

Hmmm I have stickmount and it works like a champ on 4.4
My easy tether no longer works.

ART is the best thing, EVER.
Yes Xposed is no longer available to me (until the dev can make it work)
But WOW, its like my maxx just got the latest and greatest processor and a ton more ram. Performance is nutsssssss
Apps switch incredibly fast, and my battery life is even better now.
I'm gonna run benchmarks to compare
