ICS Kernel on JB - Xoom Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can I use my Codename Android Tiamat sourced kernel on the "stock" VZW JB rom? Would like to have OC. I did run the Team Eos rom for a while, but I kinda prefer more of stock rom.

[Q] Stock 2.3.7 Rom with updated kernel to allow OC? (or the most closest to stock)

CM7 on my SNS always SODs. I tried a few other roms, but there is too much graphical tweakage.
What is the closest rom to stock or CM7 which is uber stable? (My SNS when stock, never ever ever rebooted or SODed).
If you want stock you could always just run rooted stock.
Other gb roms that appear stock like are peter Alfonso's and the oxygen rom where two of the very popular ones. Not sure if either kernel that comes with the rom are overclockable.

hamsterblade MIUI kernel questions

So what rom do you flash this with if it won't work on any of the stock roms? I notice that the erikmm MIUI rom uses a non-MIUI kernel right now...
Eriks MIUI is sporting this kernel. It also works on Ravers MIUI.

[Q] Slim Bean 2.4 ROM and Samsung JELLYBEAN: 9.18.2012 Kernel

I'm on the Slim Bean 2.4 ROM and today loaded the KT747 Samsung JELLYBEAN: 9.18.2012 kernel using CWM Recovery. The phone does not boot. I had to reboot into CWM and load the KT747 AOSP JELLYBEAN kernel for the phone to work again.
Does anyone have the KT747 Samsung JELLYBEAN: 9.18.2012 kernel working on Slim Bean 2.4 ROM? If so, what could I be doing wrong?
Thanks.
You flashed a non AOSP kernel on an AOSP rom that's why your phone was not booting up. At least im fairly certain that's what happened. You have to be careful when flashing kernel's that there compatible with your rom. Generally AOSP kernels will always work with AOSP roms and TW kernels will work with TW roms, just make sure there both ICS or JB both the rom and kernel.
I'll make it easy
TW ICS ROM = TW ICS Kernel
TW JB ROM = TW JB Kernel
ICS AOSP ROM = ICS AOSP Kernel
JB AOSP ROM = JB AOSP Kernel
No mixing or combining

[Q] How can I get the stock kernel?

I installed leankernel with cleanrom 5.5.1. Now I want to go back since lean doesn't support exfat. How can I find stock kernel for newest JB rom? I don't want to flash the whole rom again since I did a lot customizations.

Can't flash custom kernel

Hi,
I'm running SlimBean 6.0 Unnoficial in my xt925, and I can't flash bytecodes kernel (http://droid-hive.com/index.php?/topic/1857-kernel-code-kernel-61513/)
it doesn't boot.
any ideas?
As far as I know, Slimbean Uses a custom kernel that is modded to allow all the extra features.
I don't think you can use a different kernel.
