[a510] hdmi issues - Acer Iconia A700 and A510

google wasn't much help, so here are my issues.
1. wifi stops working when i plug in the hdmi. everything else works fine. ive seen some mention of it happening with only certain cables, but i dont have a second cable to test.
2. audio isnt using all the proper channels. my av amp registers it sending 7.1, but when you run tests, its really only using LF, RF, and centre, despite using a proper 5.1 source. im using mobo player if it makes a difference.
any suggestions for fixing these two issues?

USB Problems on Nexus S

Hi. I have recentli bought a Nexus S from the USA. Now, all of a sudden the USB port started to randomly malfuction. I have had it working before, and i successfully rooted it and installed Cyanogenmod 7. the USB port works some times, so I restored it because of warranty reasons.
Have anyone else experienced this problems?
It is a GT9020i.
Thanks.
I have this issue also

By working, you mean you are able to mount as a USB storage device? I have a Motorola USB micro to USB mini adapter cable that doesn't have a stable connection, so sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe it's faulty, but the original USB cable works fine. Are you using a good quality cable?
I have tried several cables, and all with same result. I works randomly, mostly not :/

That's a shame. So far I haven't had any issues with my i9020. *knocks on wood*
I belive it is a software issue because it doesn't seem to have anything to do with the cable. Anyway how i plugs it in the phone it lives its own life.

[Q] HDMI Out Problem {resolved}

Dang, another problem with my Transformer (or with the cable.)
I bought the bundle off of TigerDirect with the Transformer, Mini HDMI cable and case.
I finally got around to opening up the cable and I connected it to my HDTV. Nothing happens.
I did some Googling and it said make sure the cable is fully inserted (yep) and that a HDMI notification should appear on the device. (nope)
Anybody else buy this bundle and try to connect to their HDTV? I'm trying to figure out if it's the cable or the device.
I tried rebooting it as the old standby fix, but still no-go.
Thanks!
Went and tried on my friend's HDTV and it worked like a charm.
Not sure what it is about my Panasonic plasma 1080p monster, but it doesn't work on it at all.
And I know the port is good, it's where I hook up my PS3.
Not too concerned because I won't use that feature too much, but I was thinking of how some hotels now offer HDMI in, so that's awesome the next time I need to travel for work.
Load up some music, some TV shows, a couple games, AND I can even do some work. (Yeah, right!)
I tried mine yesterday on our Samsung and it worked well, I was pleasantly surprised how simple it was to use.
Yeah, me too! (After I put it on a different tv.)
I was also surprised how good it looked for mirroring the display after some people said it didn't look great. Surfed, read some e-mail, even started up the Samurai game and everything looked excellent.
Looking forward to the 3.1 update which supposedly will support 1080p!

Mine won`t work with my Panasonic plasma, works fine with my no name LCD TV
Mine worked great on 3 different projectors
Hdmi problem
I couldn't get my TF to work on my Sony Bravia TV. I loaded Clemsyn's kernel (v17) and it now works fine.
clemsyms kernal works for me using 50"panasonic plasma
I don't see how one rom works better than stock on hdmi unless something specific has been added or changed in reference to it. Is that what you are saying?
I do know pluging in the mini hdmi connector into the TF firmly was the difference between it working or not working on my sammy. BTW it looks great and surfing the internet on my TV has taken on a lot greater meaning since. Lots better than my lame PS3's browser
I had the same problem hooking up to my dad's tv, not completely sure of the brand of it. Samsung or Sharp.
Anyway, it would not work on any of the 3 hdmi inputs that were not being used up, so I tried plugging it into the input where his dtv recorder box was connected, and it worked.
Not sure if the tv had a setting in the setup menu's that would have made it work but I couldn't find anything that would have made it work on the other hdmi inputs. I had 3 different cables with me that I tried so that wasn't part of the problem.
I also remember the tablet was saying it was connected to hdmi but there was no video or audio on the tv on the other 3 inputs. Very strange. Works great on my LG I woulda been on one of the 3.1 unrooted asus updates at the time.
that's my experience with hdmi not working, hopefully it helps someone, someday
where is the solution?????
A solution has already been given above. The clemsyn kernel has a fix. Other than that you'd have to wait for a fix from ASUS
Sent from my mopho
but if i install clemsyn kernel i lost all my data, the kernel reset all the tablet?
thanks
????? some help?
You wont lose any of your data. Just flash it via CWM Recovery without wiping/formatting.

[Q] HDMI issues w\ new OTA update...

I'm new to the forum and maybe you all can shed a little more light on my situation.
My tf300 is only about 3 months old. I purchased this tablet over others because of the HDMI port. The problem is that after the latest OTA update my tablet stopped producing audio through HDMI on one of my HDTVs but the picture shows fine (except its not in 1080i when watching HD video but instead 1360x768 for everything...whats that about?). I've done as much troubleshooting as I can think of but I can't figure out why it stopped working on one TV and not the other using the same cable. Also, before anyone says it, its not the television because when I plug any other HDMI device into the ports, they work flawlessly.
I've done some searching through the forums and I haven't come across anyone with an issue quite like mine after the 4.2 update. Any suggestions?
You didn't search right, there are several threads open on this subject. As I posted in them, regarding the audio via HDMI, you must set the tablet volume before connecting the HDMI cable, otherwise the tablet will output audio for the TV at zero volume. If this doesn't fix it for you, I don't know what could you do more. Some people reported issues even with this trick. For me it works.
Nope...

I did search correctly... here and on other forums and saw that "solution". It didnt work for me. If you go back and pay close attention to what I originally posted you'd notice that the HDMI works fine on my other TV... as simple as plug and play, but doesnt work on my other (most used) TV after the latest OTA update.

[Q] HDMI Cable Disconnects WiFi

Hey guys, I have a bit of an issue here.
My G2X wifi runs perfectly fine, Netflix and Youtube stream perfectly. I connect an HDMI cable to the phone, and it still works perfectly. I connect the other end of the HDMI cable into the TV and it still works perfectly. Then I turn the TV on, and all wifi connectivity disappears instantly. I can still use the TV to display my phone's screen without any problems, but obviously I can't use my browser / stream any video or use the internet whatsoever (I don't have a data plan, so I can't test if that still works or not).
Furthermore, the second I turn the TV back off or disconnect my phone the signal immediately goes back to normal. Also, I've used this phone with a different HDMI cable and TV at another person's house and it had no problems. The TV I'm using is an LCD Sanyo DP32746. The HDMI cable I'm using is a 6 foot HDMI (Type A) to HDMI Micro (Type D) cable sold by OneAce Tech.
So has anyone had this same issue? Does anyone know a workaround or a fix?
I have this issue also but I use Paranoid Android ROM. The last time I tried using it with CM7 I didn't have any issues, maybe it's your ROM.

Do you think I should try CM7 then? I did a factory reset about a month ago and haven't made any modifications since except for standard app downloads.
Well if you're using the same ROM as me I don't think it works and there is no source for it anymore to fix it. From my experience it works fine with CM7 though

Usb C audio splitter issues

I have the latest non beta european rom. I am having issues recognizing usb c headphones (both straight usb to audio, and multiple different types of usb c plus audio and power splitters). I plug them in and my phone will not recognize the headphones yet acts like it is charging. I have tried enabling otg as some have suggested but that doesn't work. Anyone else have this issue? Work arounds? I fall asleep charging my phone and listening to an audiobook. Well I used to. Can't anymore since oneplus broke this basic feature so it seems. Anyone else run into this?

Is no one else having usb c audio issues? Starting to think it's an issue with my phone or rom install. Flash fresh perhaps? (Sounds painful )
