Going from CM9 to stock ? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have cm9 and want to go back to stock type roms.. less bugs..
anyway, how do I do this? I did a full wipe and restored hydro but the kernel stays on CM9 kernel.. and wifi wont turn on...

You need to flash the actual .30 zip from asus. That returns you to stock. Then do a custom recovery/root and THEN flash hydro.

Which recovery do you have? Flash the latest twrp recovery and you can flash hydro without the need to return to stock. Simply download the newest base for hydro. You can also flash clean rom over cm9 without returning to stock. Make sure that you wipe cache, dalvic, factory data reset, and format system.

I'm on cwm. Still. Formatting system won't wipe everything off my internal memory will it? I have about 15 movies , and a bunch of snes games....

[Q] What's the process for flashing CM7 nightlies?

Can I just buy ROM Manager pro and let the nightlies automatically update, or do I have to flash via cwm? If I have to flash via cwm do I need to wipe data? I want to be able to go back and forth between roms as well and need to know the best process for doing that.
Do not use ROM manager, for anything. Seriously, it's bad news. Just download the nightlies and flash through recovery the regular way.
i use rom manager to download them, but then i boot into recovery myself and back-up then i flash the new rom. been doing it like this for awhile now with no problems.
You can flash though rom manager. Where you will get stuck is if you get into a situation where you can't boot your OS, you can only boot into cwm if you've flashed using the nvflash method.

Better not use Rom Manager. CWM Flash is very easy so there is no need to risk it.

Rom manager uses cwm. You can use rom manager just fine. You just need to have cwm properly flashed using the nvflash method in case you get stuck in a boot loop and need to get back into recovery using power+ volume down.

No. Just wipe cache and dalvik cache then install the update and reboot.

You need to do a full wipe when you're switching between different roms, like from stock to CM7.

[Q & A] Return to stock ICS - TF101 B80 (SOLVED!!!)

Hi, i just want to return back to stock ICS 4.0.3 (unrooted).
My TF101 is now rooted. Below are some details for my TF101
Kernel Version..... 2.6.39.4
Build number..... IML74.WW_epad-9.2.1.17-20120312
Serial number ..... B80
Recovery ..... Rogue XM Recovery 1.3.0 (CMM-Based Recovery v5.0.2.7)
My TF101 is currently working just fine. I had a problem leaving recovery CMW but i managed to change it as above.
I have been looking for 5 days to find an NVFlash solution for my B80 tablet but no luck. Can you please help me restore it back to stock?
NVFlash will NOT work on B8O TF
Just download the official stock firmware from Asus website.
Extract it to get to the zip inside, put it on your sd card and flash with CWM.
(Wipe data, cache and dalvik ect... like flashing any other ROM)
Once rebooted you'll be on stock firmware and stock recovery

I think it work just fine!!! Thank you so much.
Did what you said. Wipe data, cash and dalvik.
Then flash ww_epad-user-9.2.1.17 and reboot.
After that my TF101 was not rooted (checked with -Root Check Basic)
I also reboot to recovery and what a lying down adroid with red triangle.
Thank you so much for everything.
P.S. This means that my TF101 is back to manufactures' stock rom?

I did all the things you can think of and never thought of this
Why don't you make a threat for this issue. From what i was reading the past few days there are a lot of people facing the same issue and didn't know what to do. Also everyone (like me) was looking for an nvflash for their B70 + B80 TF101 devices to install the stock rom.
Rooting my nexus s and flashing different roms (am running CybergrMod V.9) was much more easier!
Once again thank you so much.
If this is true then what if the purpose of NVflash? I've been so worried about flashing roms because my serial is C10. I have the same setup as you listed. I guess NVflash would only be needed if you couldn't get into CWM?
Here's a good thread about almost everything

I never read the unroot section. I feel much better now about flashing ROMs. Still wish they would release the NVflash. thanks!

[Q] I did something bad in ICS

I thought I could flash a theme to the stock ICS leak. But apparently that doesn't work because it's not de-odexed. Is there a way to de-odex the stock ROM on my phone? If not, is there a way to undo my theme flash (I forgot to make a backup ). Or, can I go back to stock ICS by just flashing the Odin one click ICS leak?
If you're not worried about losing anything try factory reset. Sometimes themes will stick, if it does just flash through Odin and your good to go.

Yeah, I tried the factory reset. It didn't do anything. I'm not worried about losing data though. I have everything backed up with Titanium. So, I can flash directly from Odin without clearing cache, etc through CWM?
Themes do not work on odexed . Period. Flash one of the custom . Deodexed ics roms if u wsnt a theme
If u flash the collective ics rom . You will not loose data or anything. Just download and flash. It will sort out your issue. And give u a good rom check it out here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=1548469
Its the 4.0.3 ics rom at the bottom of the op

I'm a little confused. Do I just flash it in CWM without wiping anything, or do I follow these instructions?
1. Make a nandroid backup, it is always a good idea
2. Have your apps backed-up with titanium
3. Downloadrom, and place onsd card
4. Shutdown, and boot to cwm recovery
5. Wipe data, wipe cache
6. Select mounts/storage, and choose format system
7. Flash rom
8. Fix permissions
9. Reboot.
10. Enjoy

Can you flash new ROM with a blue CWM?

I currently have the unofficial CM9 ROM by Entropy.
I want to try out JB's ULTRA CM9 Build and was wondering if I can flash into JB's build from the Entropy's ROM/blue CWM?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1690854
Yup just wipe data cache and davlik and you should be good to go.. Or even better qwikster has a fantastic wipe script which I use every time I flash a new rom.
I am not stuck in a bootloop that leads me to the blue CWM...

You should be able to with no problems...I did, ok did you do the following within blue CWM?
Wipe/Factory Reset
Go to mounts and storage and format system, data, and cache
Flash rom zip file
go back in CWM and do the above...see if you get it, hope you have a good full charge on your battery...
I did that and was still stuck in bootloop that leads to the blue CWM.
I bit the bullet and just reverted back to stock ROM (since I was at the point of no return anyway...)
Anywho, I managed to flash it the way I always use.

Good job, you accomplish what some seem to make a road block, at least you got it going...
OMG, JB's integrated Entropy's ROM is blazing fast...
I did notice the back of the phone getting hot when I overclocked it to 1600mhz. So, I put it back to stock 1200mhz.

Boot Loop Issues

Okay...So I'm having boot loop issues ever since I tried to flash Vincom's Superlite rom. Before attempting to switch to a different rom I had a a older version of CWM, not sure what it was....But I was under the impression I needed CWM touch to be able to use the Superlite rom. So I flashed sk8's CWM touch using a older CWM...With touch, I flashed the Dark Side Super Wipe 3x's and also did the wiped dalvek 3x's.....After all the wiping I flashed the superlite rom....my previous rom was CM10, by the way.....i got stuck in bootloop so I tried the darkside-wipe-cache, because that solved all my bootloop issues with the CM 9 and CM 10.......I tried to revert back to CM 10 via flash and got stuck in a boot loop....I tried multiple times to reflash and wipe with both superlite and CM 10...I couldnt get anything...So I gave up and flashed to stock firmware UCL6 via CWM Touch.....My phone is functional I just dont want this stock "rom"...I want to be able to use CM 10 again because the t-mobile radios dont work with the stock....Im thinking its the CWM....I tried using different kernels as well...and i still get a boot loop......

Bump? Anybody?
Manually do the following wipes: wipe data/factory reset, cache, dalvik, format/data, format/system, format/cache all x3. Then reflash his ROM followed by gapps. Let it sit for 10 min as caches need time to settle and the initial boot always takes much longer.
Which version of cwm touch are you on?

Nope. Just wipe dalvik and cache and flash it. But it's likely to be an exercise in folly anyway, because it you have uclf5 and you flash uclf6, you still have the uclf5 libs. Changing the radio libs is a much more complicated procedure and without doing so you get limited benefit from flashing a new radio. But sometimes it does help anyway. Might be worth a try if you're getting poor connectivity.

No need to do a whole clean install simply to switch out the radio. I 95% positive you only need to wipe cache, dalvik, flash radio and reboot. I only changed radio once and it was during a clean install so I never really paid that close attention to the steps when you put it over the top of your ROM. Do what I said and you should be fine.
Or grab the torch and pitchfork. Jk there's nothing to worry about

Hey Mike,
I've been bootlooping as well. A little background...
I'm on CWM Touch 6.0.1.2 _sk8erwitskil_
I was on cm-10-20120812-EXPERIMENTAL-syyrocket-alpha3
Yesterday, I went to cm-10-20120912-UNOFFICIAL-skyrocket
I was ok until just a little bit ago I was on a call and the phone rebooted. Since then, bootloop-city.
I tried this procedure, reflashed 0912 and no joy. I think, at this point, the unreliability of CM10 (at this time) has worn thin (no dis to all the awesome developers out there) and I just want to go back to a stable CM9.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bob
EDIT: Ya know, just when you think all is lost, there is Nandroid! I'm back to CM9 and no longer bootlooping!
