Hey gang,
Maybe I'm just growing weary of watching the Olympics, trying not to get too hyped up over who can row a boat faster, or win at water polo (those little caps they wear creep me out, anyone else?), but in just checking in here as I always do, as often as I do, I notice that I can almost hear crickets chirping. And, it's got me thinking as to why...
Now, don't get me wrong, this community is by far one that I am certain that I couldn't imagine being where I am without them -yes, you guys, all of you! But, quite frankly, only by the good graces and amazing talent of the devs and hackers here (you know who they are, and if you're one of them, no amount of Thanks Button mashing will ever express my gratitude to you), the ATRIX 2 forum has see a calming of waters.
I like that. And, knowing that it was all result from these guys, working their "free" time to get us (well, I never flashed the leak, but you see where I'm going with this) out of the jam that was subsequent of the ICS 'dreaded' leak fiasco. What truly awesome devs we have here, and believe me, I've poked around into other forums and they don't hold a dime to our guys.
I suppose where I'm headed with this is just a gigantic thank you to everyone who works so hard, has such passion, and with patience and talent, help the rest of us knuckleheads out with any problem that we may face. Please, feel free to chime in here, and let our guys know how appreciated they truly are, aside from "clicking their button".
So, it's quiet in here now. It has been so for a few days, or week or so. And, like I said, the only reason for the is because the dev/hack team we have here is next to none, and has delivered us from "evil" (a.k.a.: The "Dreaded" ICS leak) and will undoubtedly do so again. It's quiet here because we have resolve given to us by individuals who care, who seriously kick ass, and who are devoted to our community.
It's nice to see that quietness. Though, a bit unfamiliar, it can only be attributed to our guys, those that worked night and day, to give us this "calm". I do suspect things to liven up, once the official ICS release finds it's way to our phones, but regardless we can all take solace in knowing we're all in the best possible hands!
Thank you, all of you.
You're work is something immeasurable, and can never be thanked enough.

+10 Was thinking the same thing the other day..... Greatly appreciate everyone on here from the devs, devolpers, regular faces (well avi's) and those good with Q&A!!!!! O and I bet you know what all the quiet is for BIG things are on the way ..... Let the team rest up from the little storm of the leak and get ready for wave 2.....

Hi, I kind of took a sanity break over the last few weeks, so that is part of it; I can talk a lot!
But mostly, ICS is around the corner, so no one is really doing much with GB. once ICS really hits hard, I mean full on OTA, it will go nuts. once we get a SOAK image, there should be a bulge in activity, then it will take off with the OTA.
Believe me, there will be plenty of roms and hacks once full ICS comes out.
p.s. Devs get on IRC, I need to talk and get caught up. LOL
It's the calm before the storm. You know before the great ics debacle that's coming.

agreed, the community here really is something amazing. I can't thank all the devs, especially Jim, enough for what they have taught me
Agreed! When I first got my phone... I didn't even know what rooting was.... about 9 months later I know 100% more! Thanks to all of the devs, I learned the do's and dont's of Android (even though I make some STUPID mistakes sometimes!)

Well I can't wait for froyo + full file system lag fix
If you're not satisfied with the current rate of development, feel free to put together your own rom or even contribute to current development. The phone is what, two, three months old? Some phones didn't even have root methods for that long. If you wanted an att device that had a background of strong community hacking, should have gone with an htc device. The method of building roms on this phone is massively different and requires time to get everything sorted. And I'm willing to believe a lot of devs are waiting fur for the 2.2 source

You're saying you're impatient for new roms, implying you are not satisfied with your current options. There are several people doing fantastic work on our phones and you're belittling their work. Even jokingly.

I think you are taking this entire thread the wrong way.
I think the OP is trying to say that he has done all he can, where is something new? More things to play with.
Nowhere did he belittle or offend anyone. Nor was anything implied.
I have had my phone for 7 weeks - I want to see even more new ROMs -but in no way am I saying anything about anyone. I can't wait for the first Cyanogenmod either - I am impatient, just like I was when waiting for the Captivate launch day.

Looks to me like you are a good candidate to get in the kitchen and start cooking. That way you don't have to wait around for the roms and we can all play.
I don't think it's a matter of lightening up, I agree the op surely said "where are the roms?" That could have ben interpreted more than one way, which it was. Coming from the op of the forum nazi thread, sounds like you have plenty of time to start cooking and stop whining

Hey gunny, I know how you feel. I too am a bit bored. The rom development is great so far but that's starting to reach it's limit with what devs can do while we wait for froyo. I would love something new to play with. Maybe flash or some awesome game to come along that really pushes this device. Gps fix from sammysung would be nice. I could drive around using that to kill some boredom.
Anyway, props to the devs. Thank god we have some good ones. I would have been bored weeks ago without and with a laggy phone on top of that.
I understand both sides but unfortunately unless you know how to dev we all must be patient. These guys have done very good work and so far it is right on par with the Vibrant, and we all know T-mobile has many more dev's to work on ROMS. With more time will come better products, and all Galaxy S phones will be waiting for a while for 2.2. If Cyanogen comes out soon it shouldn't be hard for Eugene or someone to make a port of it, even if Eugene does not own a Captivate.
There's no need to fight guys, in all seriousness we have the best touch-screen phone on the whole market!
Gorgeous screen, specs, and soon to be a great international community of devs with the whole family of galaxy s line sharing ideas and accelerating the growth of development at a great pace.
Not to mention the soon to be implemented froyo that will not only introduce optimizations and flash, but also allow for a greater use of the phone's potential- spec wise.
Take into consideration the further development after froyo + full lag fix + a COMMUNITY effort of collaboration and I see a really bright future ahead of us.
Personally I LOVE my phone, it does everything I want it to do (I multi-task like a beast!!) BEAUTIFUL camera software.. I painlessly take panoramic shots! What more can you ask for?
Yes some high quality games compared to that of the iphone would be great, but the anti-piracy measures are not on par with the iphone at the moment, so we'll have to wait a little for the big-name app/game developers to step in.

I don't know what you mean by "all of my posts recently have had attitude." I generally answer any questions asked and follow it up with any advice I can offer. threads like this where, even unintentionally, the OP is kind of being dismissive toward the excellent work Unhelpful, DG, eugene (and a slew of others who I have forgotten to name).
it'd be fine if he was just opening a thread to say "I'm excited for something new! can't wait for froyo! woo!" it's that the attitude of this is "I'm bored with all the work everyone else has done." especially when it's someone who doesn't contribute to development (not counting donations, I have no idea if he has donated) himself. I just want people to be grateful for what they have right now... there's no need a open a thread saying "I want more but I want others to do the work"
Dude. Quit reading into stuff that isn't there. As for donated monies, I have indeed done so in the past. Lots. I HAVE NOT (REPEATING AGAIN) disparaged anyone or their work in my thread or any post I have ever made hear on XDA (feel free to search) If I am complaining about anything it's samsung, And YOU at the moment.
I'll say again then I'm done in this thread. Lighten up Francis.

Everyone take 5 deep breaths......
Better now?
And Kaik, I am NOT directing this at you personally, just used your quote. This is meant as a general comment not directed at any specific person....
Ok, I clicked on this thread because I could have written it myself, as it was intended. Which was obviously "Ok, I tried all the mods and now I want to try a new one or an update of 1 I already have."
For instance, as you can see from my signature, I run sre123. Last night, Designgears posted that 123a would be posted that night. I thought nothing of saying "ooo, can't wait, please hurry!!!" because DG knows how I meant it (I hope).
I have only seen a couple of REAL jerk posts, and those were like "hey thanks, your mod/rom broke my phone" idiots. Read the OP's and mod and your own risk, fools!
I have NEVER programmed. I understand what gets done here, having been a pc tech, but I can ONLY help by installing and testing and reporting results. This device and this forum has inspired me to try to learn what the guys like Cyanogen, Designgears, Eugene etc do. But until I learn, I will eagerly await new stuff to play with, much like the OP of this thread.
Sorry to type so long a note, but the ONLY thing that can ruin this forum is nazi's. I live in S Florida, got enough condo and homeowner association nazi's to deal with !!! =)

I wonder why that is. Dosn't seem intuitive that would be the case. TM is a much smaller carrier, with much less coverage. I can't imagine (of course maybe I'm short on imagination) that there are more people on the TM version than the Captivate.
I too am impatient. But the impatience is for the GPS Fix.
Gunny...I'm with you. Seems many people just try to take everything the wrong way. Of course, the fact is, writing things and having them read, the reader doesn't know what your mood is, and it is a fact that if it can be taken wrong, it will be by some.
If I had the time to invest, I'd get into the ROMs. In fact I started to get into DEV. Downloaded the tools, did a couple weeks playing. But my programming has never expanded to Java, and the learning curve is too large, so I guess I won't. I'd enjoy it, but being at the computer all the time is not how I want to spend my time. I already spend a lot of time on it.
Regarding the DEVs, I appreciate them, and enjoy their work, and contribute occasionally to those I tend to utilize and keep using. But that doesn't diminish my right to be impatient. All customers are, no?
I want the GPS fix. All Galaxy S phones come with a nonfunctioning GPS. Froyo will be great to have also but they need hurry up with the GPS. The Droid X and all Motorola Android phones have an awesome GPS out of the box. I'm hoping Samsung gets it together otherwise they're not worth buying if it lacks a feature that most phones nowadays have. This problem from Samsung shows they rush things out to fast and then once they're out they fail to repair phones currently released.
I'll be eating my words if an update gets released within a week though.

From what I have read about Dev's and Tmobile is mainly because Tmob was the first to have Android. Lots of them are familiar from being already on Tmob. But that is just what I have read, does not necessarily make it correct. The dev's for the Captivate are doing a phenomenal job getting us great products.
Highlighted portion: Joking aside since I know you are, if people are impatient they really should start learning how to do this stuff. The intent of the thread missed the mark based on how it was written. We all want more ROM's or theme's or launchers etc...and they are coming but nobody has any say to be impatient when the majority of these dev's do these on a donation basis. How bad would it suck when people continue to feel impatient and the dev's decide to not dev anymore?
Hi guys,
I wanted to post this on the Axura thread, but it got closed minutes before i could do so...
Firstly, I'm not even from the USA. I'm located in South East Asia - Malaysia to be more accurate.
I managed to get hold of a Captivate and have been with Axura since day one.
[unlike you guys, I had to pay the full price of the device. There's no telco subsidy for it since, it's not an official phone in my country]
I've bricked once, lagfix multiple times from ext4 to none, to ext2 and back.
And it's been working great for me. I get fantastic signals from Adam's Axura ROM and even GPS is great. (it locks me in seconds after changing to supl.google.com).
In terms of battery life, i must say adam has done an excellent job. I upgraded from the Legend, and seeing the additional size of the screen and higher processing power, I'm getting decent battery life. (and like all of us Asians, we love the internet, so 3G consumption is ultra high).
I just wanna say this - if you can't stand the battery drain, flash another rom.
If you can't flash another rom, use the stock rom.
If that is not enough for you, get an extra battery - i believe it's more affordable for you guys (we pay like 30+ USD for these same batteries).
If you think the captivate or any android phone drains battery, get a blackberry - should last you one to two full days. Or a nokia. Yes, get a nokia.
To Adam, I hope you change your mind, and continue developing.
I enjoy using Axura. And although flashing some other ROM is VERY tempting, i always find myself convincing myself not to - because i'm satisfied with it, and there's no reason for me to.
I hope to see Axura 2.6...
And i still hope...
That ROM has changed hands three times in a couple months. Someone elese will pick up that ball. YOu have to have thick skin to develop. People demand so much and offer nothing. Most do not donate to the developers or site for their upgraded devices. Then ***** and moan about paying $2 for and App like TiBu or Root Explorer that will save their asses when they do start enjoying the developer's work.
Amazing. I don't blame Adam really. Everybody *****es about the hard time given noobs on DGs threads but he stays out of the threads and lets the community police themselves.....hence he has the most popular ROMS maybe not so much because they are the best but because he will be there for the long run and eventually fix the issues. I left DG and tried the other great ROMS like Axura and Assonance since Cog 6 and P6 because those ROMS were not stable enough for me....But he has fixed them and is abandoning the OC/UV ROMS which I believe is a good idea. That is why his thread has been around and has a lot of posts. not because its the "friend;y" thread. But because it is consistent and has been there through thick and thin. Noobs have a tough time there because they don't want to read 10 pages back most of the time.
DG's skin is thick and his followers police their own and make people READ. Not much hand holding because all the information is readily available. As Adam can attest to now hand holding does not pay off. The "friendliest thread" is not so friendly from the users who whine about battery life, something that can easily be remedied with an extra battery, a luxury not available on more and more phones. There are always whiners no matter what who take advantage of other's hard work yet contribute nothing.
Axura can be downloaded as is and be a daily driver along with a few versions back without issues. It is a good ROM as is Assonance. Many more newer ROMS have come out. Some will disappear as fast as hey came. Others may stick around.
It was bound to happen. Hell master opened up ce axura had a tantrum closed it then reopened it, then had another tantrum and what do ya know, closed again. Hans reopened it and did a wonderful job but life took him away from axura, best dev imo, no offense to Adam. Then adam took over for a bit. Did a good job but couldn't handle the people who want free stuff to be perfect and then want more again for free lol.
Axura is an awesome rom but is and was doomed from the beginning lol

No, Axura ends here. No one else is going to pick it up unless Master says so unfortunately. I was asked by Hans to take over outside of the thread as I supported it and its users like no other. Once I took over only a handful stayed with the program and treated me the same. The rest turned into a bunch of hungry vultures that would be no where without people like Hans, Master, myself and the other great devs on here. I know it is open source, but unless the person who attempts to take it over is ready for a **** storm, I highly recommend reconsidering. I wish it didn't have to end this way, but I am a man of values and do not like being disrespected and am done with it.
I believe adam was doing an excellent job. Axura is the most stable and reliable rom I have used. All of whiners out there should be ashamed of themselves. They are acting like they have paid hundreds of dollars for the roms. They are free and all of them are betas. If you don't like a rom, just flash another one. Don't whine and moan and try to piss everyone else off too. Hats off to you Adam. You did a fantastic job and we are gunna miss you.

We need to end this cycle before it causes even more problems than it already has. I am in talks with right now(no names are being disclosed) to see what we will do going forward. No promises, but you may see Axura again. If it does come back that thread is going to be cleaned up and overhauled like no ones business. I am not going to dev and have assholes blowing it up.

You did a fantastic job and we are gunna miss you.

yea Axura was the best!
Seriously? How old is everyone? I can't believe this **** goes on in thread about phone ROM's. This is ridiculously childish.. I bite my tongue sometimes before I post because of the responses people give with their CYBER BALLS - but in the end, say F it because who the **** are they? Some guy on their laptop that read a couple pages and feels they can **** on everyone since the other guy didn't know the answer. This is an open forum for people to ask questions and get respect and guidance from those that do know the answer and should not ***** about the same question that is ALWAYS going to get asked over and over again.
Adam, good luck with whatever you decide to do.
On to the next one...

I believe the solution to your problem is to create a wiki, with FAQ and all. Don't answer anything via post, only put it in FAQ/changelog/fixes whatever.
As for people flaming you, don't bother. If they are truly pissed off, they will go to another ROM.
I feel bad about the devs here taking crap from whiney users. I ask certain questions, test it, if it fails, re-do the entire phone, and never complain. It is all about treating the devs and each other with respect, while I have noticed some people just whine and then want all these extra features and usually want them now. I personally, am just happy to have a stable rom running on my phone because I do not like the stock rom especially with running Froyo compared to Eclair!
Cheers,
Charlie

It is not just the internet. Imagine putting just about all of your free time into a project and having people complain and complain and have it seem as though you are never doing it right. The issue with the battery pushed me over the edge. You all wanted a super fast ROM that did it all. I made sure you had that and then a good portion of you whined that the battery was dying faster than you liked. You cant have the best of both worlds. Keep your eyes and ears open in the next few days. That is all I have to say.

I never used Axura, it looked good, but honestly, I would just make a statement stating your stance on the battery topic and keep it moving. These people will move on and get tired of complaining and whining. You can't please everyone.
Yeah I have to say, if you're willing to ROM dev, you gotta have thicker skin. Is Samsung closing their doors because a ton of people are mad about not getting Froyo? No, because thats ridiculous. There are lots of people who love the work being done, as far as the dicks that don't, ignore them, dev for yourself and because you want to share what is working for you. I gotta say I'm gettign sick of the Axura drama, first Master, Hans, and now this? Grow up and either keep it going and ignore the haters or quit, its just getting old at this point.

Thats the way it should be. You work hard and respect should be given. Thank you for all your hard work
Hope to see you back in the game.
Good luck Adam. I have been running Axura since Hans, and you contributed some amazing work! I am sorry to see it end this way, but perhaps it is for the best.
Biggest problem is that I noticed is people test these rom's by the hour or release. And some expect a perfect rom the first time. People forget this a development community. Also if people would run a rom for a week they would notice that a battery can actually improve over time. I try to run roms for a week or more and always see improved battery life. I just hate to see the dev's taking heat for their hard work. Good Luck adam and thanks for all that you done.
edit: Oh and why should devs have thicker skin? They give their work away. Nobody should have to sift through asinine comments. I damn sure wouldn't take that kind of abuse in real life. No reason to take it from some anonymous pricks on the internet.

agreed. Like Charles Barkley said, half the people love you and the other half hate you. There's nothing you can do about it.
Many of the people in this forum are assholes, but most aren't. Why let the vocal minority win when they are clearly in the wrong?
So, I have seen a few posts as of late with some frustrations of there being very little going on here in the Atrix2 forum.
I want to give those a little background right now, and I am not speaking for every dev in here either, and I am hoping that they will all jump in here and give their 2 cents as well, so that we can let everyone know what is up.
As I am sure many have seen all the hoopla over the ICS leaks. This is one reason why things are a little slow right now. I am pretty sure that I don't want to keep working on things that are for 2.3.6 when 4.04 is about to be released in next several weeks. I am just guessing, but I am sure that the other devs may be feeling some of the same thing right now.
I KNOW that once we get ICS in hand, that there will be so much going on in here, it will be hard to keep up.
I am already working on some new hacks for ICS, and working on the CM9 FULL fresh compile, so that once we have the ICS kernel on our phones this should in all theoretical ways, work. I am still working on the bootloader as well, there are 3 different things that I am currently trying out, to break into it.
I also know that I am really hitting the Moto servers pretty hard with my own scripts to try and find an AT&T ICS leak for us, to get a head start on some of these FUN things for us, but until we get at least that, there is not too much we can do.
Ok devs, jump in, I hope I am not the only one in here that is thinking like this... I just thought this might be a nice way to let everyone know what is up and what we might be attempting at the moment, just before the you know what hits the fan.
Very well spoken as usual Jim! I feel the same way, once ICS comes out my work on GB is done!
I've been playing with AOKP every chance I get trying to get a working port going, once we get these bugs out for SCV6 and I get v1.3 out for Lithium, AOKP will be my main focus until we get ICS. I just don't see a point in continuing work on something that will be obsolete very shortly.
Development isn't dead by along ways, we are just at a stand still
If you're not checking cheesecake, you're not contributing all you can !!

Agreed. I will speak for myself when saying that Knowing ics is only weeks away,i myself am not going to kill myself in the kitchen with new updates or roms that are going to be old news and outdated ,and virtually useless to you guys in a matter of weeks.
Everything is quiet for me because i myself consider this my "break time" before the countless hours i am about to spend whipping up new roms and tweaks and just tearing the ics rom apart and exploring the new posibilities i will have with it.
Think of this as the calm before the storm.
Or do what i did, once i got this phone i was a little unsatisfied seeing only one rom at the time (lfaber06's scv4). So instead of complaining and/or waiting i took it upon myself to learn how to do what devs do.
You can Either be apart of the problem, or be a part of the solution.
My two cents..

That's where I am. Though, it may be more of a learning curve for me (as likely it has for others) to get a handle on things with the limitations imposed via AT&T / Moto, I am eager and have been using my time to soak up as much info and knowledge from outside sources, as well as guys here on the forum to be -eventually- helpful.
I've said it before, and have no qualms seeming like I'm sounding like a broken record, but I envy the dev's, hackers, et al that have AND continue to inspire me to get to the place I'd like to be...
I look forward to what ICS will give you guys to work with, and what it will do for the A2 community here. You guys are all my heros! lol

You guys are the reason for me to hold on my a2.
I understand how difficult to mod this device since it locked by at&t,though it has nice spec.
I'm very grateful when a new rom coming out,and i will hit thanks as many as i can for you guys, but no need to rush to develop this device and you can take your time to rest or for family.
You guys are rocks!
Many thanks for everything all of you have done.

I just wanted to say something as a regular flasher(That sounded bad but you guys know what i mean,. I have looked into the dev work and I'm just not into it. I basically do not have the time because of work and trying to raise my kids. I do understand there is a lot of hard work that goes into being a dev. I myself do not expect anything from you guys and I'm sure some people agree. The way i see it, if you all put out something for all of us, that is great but in no way, shape or form are you expected to. If things here are slow, so be it. If people want to cry about how slow it is here then they ought to start learning how to do things themselves. Anyway, we all appreciate the work that the devs do here and I don't want you to feel like you are under pressure to put anything out because your not. Keep up the good work.

That is not why I did this. I just wanted to give all of the devs a chance to give everyone a little update as to what is currently going on. I felt that as we are awaiting the ICS leak or official release, that we could just take a few min. to give everyone a little update in good faith. The fact that others have noticed a little slow down seemed the perfect chance to do something like this.
As you said, this write up really was not for the ones with issues, but more for the faithful that are here all the time and giving their support if nothing else. I really don't care if people want to whine and such. I am here to do what I feel is more fun for me, and my "curiosity" than anything else, and if that can help someone else, or give us some great finds, then awesome.

So guys I now have my SGS III, and I may be in and out for a while, and not giving 100% in here for a little while.
I have NOT gotten rid of the Atrix 2, and I still LOVE this device and will be working on it for a while.
In fact I have a treat for you guys. I will be uploading the system.img of my SGS III to my dropbox, I will link it here in the dev section when it is uploaded, so that any of our ROM devs in here can start porting it, over, I would hope...
By the way I am still finishing up the all in one script for every one, and it should be ready for testing later this week or over this weekend. It will be for a batch file for windows, a shell script for linux and mac users.
Bittersweet news... But, thank you for all of your pioneering work on the A2!! Hope we still see you around here now and again (though understandably less frequent). Also, thanks in advance for the sgs3 system.img!
And when you're relaxing in the metaphorical bathtub with your new Sammy, and you have that Archimedes moment with the A2 bootloader... do let us know, won't you? Until then, we'll keep up the good fight.
Indeed, Jim, you are very much a highly appreciated "resident expert" here on the ATRIX 2 side, but I fully I understand you're wanting to play with the new toy -and, admittedly, I am a bit envious of you! But, as alteredlikeness stated, we'll keep plugging away in your semi-absence.
You've been an invaluable resource for n00bs and developers and everyone in between, and for that I (we) thank you yet again for all you've done for us all!
Can't wait to hear back from you periodically, and wish you the best of luck with the SGS3 -I know you will enjoy tearing it apart and making the development of it nothing short of amazing!

Oh I am not going anywhere.... I am just focusing SOME of my dev efforts on this new device which is not even officially in stores until Thursday....
Heck 916x10, pre-ordered his at BB on 6-5 and he still does not have his yet, so....
I am still working on the A2, I have not dropped everything that i was working on, to just focus a short period on the SGS 3. I am just for the next several weeks to a month, going to make myself a little more scarce on this forum, while I get my new kernel(s) and CM9 fully up over there, for the SGS 3. I already have a pre-alpha version of CM9 and 2 different accelerated kernels that I am going to be testing this week.... The SGS 3 is just so easy to develop for.
There is still so much to be done over here, and there have been some great strides made with kexec by the CyanogenMod devs, and some of the guys I am working with over in the SGS3 forum. I want to look into some of this for my next hack over here, in a few weeks.
We have been honored to have your insight, talent and patience.

Very nice. And I'm sure you'll open a lot of eyes over in the sgs3 forum..
I happened to pop in there today to see what they've (now you've) got going on over there as far as development, and I ran across one if your posts and noticed you got yourself root already while others are still struggling with that.
Also, a while ago I read somewhere that Samsung makes more "hacker friendly" Androids, so to speak - does that hold some sort of truth to it? If so, we should've kept my wife's Infuse (which we traded in for another A2)..

Jim,
I'll look forward to seeing you on these forums hopefully, from time to time. It's a ton of fun with you around, like some big bodyguard type, to keep the riff-raff out, and the regulars in shape.
If I'm ever in the Dallas area, I'll try to get in touch, maybe have a beer. I'm slow moving, but I'm still working on some of the big ideas I've had, with documentation, and some kind of system for matching junior assistants with senior developers, as a method of training, and creating efficiency in getting work done -- but I thought, maybe expand it out to all motorola devices, so that if the petition doesn't succeed, perhaps enough dev's working together can find strategies to circumvent the bootloader lockdown.
I'm looking forward to your script ;-)
Best Regards,
Paul

Quite? I dont really think so...MIUI just got released, SCV7 updated, safestrap just dropped which has jim ready to start somthing up CM9 wise...I think it's actually been pretty busy and exciting lately.

Welcome to the community, it has its ebbs and flows, but all in all it is a pretty good community, information is always popping up but, we are small and it may seem quiet when things are happening all around you. Like someone else said, two early ports of MIUI dropped in the last week and a new boostrap dropped a couple of days ago. May not be what you are looking for but we have some hard working devs, that get good stuff to us all the time.

I'm definitely excited about safestrap dropping. MIUI, not so much. It seems great, but I never really liked the look of the UI...
Miui's appeal for me is its small customization, toggles and theming options. Just change the launcher.
