No 4G

No matter what rom i use I dont receive 4g signal at all anymore. i am currently running the MR2.5 radio

try flashing the other radios

Yeah this is a possible problem. The back has connectors for the antenna, and not having it properly secured could cause connectivity issues. Also a bad SIM card is something to check as well.
Try the OTA MR2 radio. It's working great for me. The newly leaked GB radio from chingy gave me some odd wifi issues.
On a side note, if you work in a place with stainless steel walls, you won't get 4G

Are you getting 3g? If you are getting 3g and just not getting 4g try checking to see if you are on CDMA/ EvDo auto and if you are change it to either CDMA + LTE/EvDo auto or LTE only

Radio issues

Well for the past couple days my nexus has been roaming and dropping to 1x is good 3g areas for no reason sometimes the 3g icon disappears all together and I'm not in a roaming area sometimes it just goes blank doesn't even pick up voice anybody else have issues like this any help

Same here, just started today and if that weren't enough, for me anyway, The International Data Triangle popped on and I have no voice coverage. I flashed back to stock and got the voice back but the data drops in and out. I wondered if there is some sort of outage. Called in and NADA that they are aware of.
Weird.. Might have to send this one back. This will be the second time. PRL and Profile Update fails.
In Minneapolis/St. Paul Btw.

That's my same situation everything exactly its wrks better wen u unroot but rooted sux signal wise I thought I was the only one having this issue I wonder is it just our phones or did da update have sumthn 2 do with it?

Not sure. When I called Sprint, they checked the tower strength, Known issues in the area and found nothing. So they want me to stop into a store and have them look at it. I put the standard recovery back on and locked it back up. Wish me luck.

Yeah, on ke5. They did manage to fix it at the store by erasing some network stuff and reinstalling the ota latest update with their computer. Then they said blah blah blah. I told them thanks a bunch. We will see.

[Q] ATT Infuse on Rogers, need 4g modem/rom

Hi All,
I have an ATT infuse 4G, just arrived last night.
Which modem do I need to get the 3g/4g working on Roger's?
Hopefully something that I can flash with CWM.
I just finished rooting, unlocking and installing CWM recovery.
I now have a "I997RUXKG3" for a baseband, but it is still not getting any data.
Need also a good rom that will work with this setup.

Try as many out as you can and see what works best!

As long as rogers supports the exact same 3g radio bands as ATT then it should pick it up automatically. If they use different ones then no matter what you do it won't connect to anything other then edge

I'm on rogers and have no problems with any of at&t modems. Just try them all and see which works best for you. I'm currently using UVKJ6. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1353209

Hmmm, you mentioned that all modems should work, maybe there is a setting that I am missing somewhere, 'cause I got no data whatsoever.

After flashing make sure everything is running and then flash InfusionGB-CoreA2 from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1212485
Then flash this tweak Universal Adrenaline Shot v13.zip from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236779
Before doing any of this try downloading tweakker https://market.android.com/details?id=com.tweakker&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS50d2Vha2tlciJd from market it fixs apn for specific carrier.

Try inputting the Rogers APN look for a search on the forums to find it, it should activate your data.

I don't know if H+ is good for my area. Don't know if 4G has even made it to my area (Edmonton). I know rogers has been talking about something called LTE in my area.
My Nexus S always says 3G, but it is 3G only, not a 4G device.

Infuse running spectacularly now......
I don't want to get rid of the original Rom, so I just removed all ATT apps with Titanium.

h+ is the 4g in infuse 4g but its more like fauxG, really its just marketing, the infuse and many other 4g phones work on the 3g network, lte is the true 4th Gen network and the infuse doesn't support it.
the att kernel seems to get faster data because of tcp buffer changes ( if I got that mixed up with something else someone correct me) but the recent custom kernels have the changes and are all built on Rogers sources. the rom shouldn't matter but you need to use the Rogers apn settings. the modems should all work including modems from the sgs4g
weather you see h+ or 4g depends on the rom. it can be changed in the theme. they indicate exactly the same thing.

LTE won't stick in phone info app (no 4G)

I am currently in Eugene Oregon which as far as I know has 4G. I am not getting any 4G and when I downloaded "phone info" from the store it says I'm connected to gsm and cdma not lte. That seems to be my problem. But when I change it to lte/cdma/gsm it won't stick. I reopen the app and it goes back. Can anyone help me get my 4G
I'm running synergy 1.3 with imoseyon's kernel v12.

4th or 5th question I've seen: you've flashed something that munged your SIM card MEID.
Open your dialer, type *2767*3855# and your phone will reset it's SIM card, and reboot. You're done.

Unable to get 4g back after using Phone App.

I selected the (CDMA auto PRL) for 3g only then didn't like it so i wanted to switch back but it would not let me. so now i'm stuck on 3g selected (CDMA auto PRL) every time I try to switch the setting to something else it just reverts back. Did anyone else have this issue? Please is their a fix? I need help to get the 4g back on my phone. (Galaxy S3 Verizon, rooted)

I had to reset the phone and install a different rom to make mine work. Hopefully that helps.

I stopped using that app due to it happening twice. The last time it happened I had to unroot and reprogram the phone

I had this issue and flashed a stock rooted Rom then used airplane mode and it came back. I highly advise against using that app

The same thing happened on my non-rooted Verizon S3 after using Phone Info app. Verizon tech said my phone was defective. When I went into Best Buy, they started switching my phone to a new S3 and it still did it...found it was the sim card. After I got a new one, it's been working ever since.

I have posted the fix in about 4 other threads...you need to reprovision your device with the dialer code

I don't think that phone info app has been updated in years. Was never meant for new ultra high end phones. And not to sound rude but those menus were never meant for us to play with.

That menu is how I ****in' ripped off VZW and their tethering app for the longest time with my old X2 before I got pissed off at it's random disconnects and just started using wifi tether for root users.
Ahhh.. the memories. Good times.

idk if this is the same but i used the phone info app on my fascinate and changed it and couldnt get 3g so i went to mobile networks under wireless and networks
in settings and clicked data enabled

I haven't had any problems with the phone info app! Use it daily and it's never gotten stuck on 3g.

Does this Re-provision code work with 4.1.1, I've been reading that it only works with ICS builds? I can't get 4G lte ever since rooting my phone and I've tried every thing but this. I don't want to try it though unless I know for sure that it works with jelly bean.

I'm on CleanRom 5.5.1 and I use Phone Info app to switch from 4g to 3g, but to go back to 4g I always have to go into System Settings -> Wireless Network -> Mobile Networks and switch it from there. Same with every JB Touchwiz ROM I've tried.

still not working
I got it changed in APN setting to "LTE - verizon internet", the only other option is "EHRPD - verizon internet", I also have global roaming set to "always allows on trips". However ever time I go back to the phone info app it resets to "CDMA auto PRL". Am I missing something?

Id say delete the phone info app or wait until it's updated to be compatible with jellybean. 3g is almost then same as lte anyways at least with my phone I almost always have a strong lte signal. The s4 chip in the gs3 was designed to be a power saver on lte compared to older chips

Ok, so if I delete the app is my phone still stuck in 3g mode somewhere in else in the phone then? I guess what I mean is does deleting app force the phone to run off the APN settings? And if this still doesn't work can I use the re-provision code ( *2767*3855#) that I saw earlier in the thread? Finally is there a way to simply check if my SIM card is screwed?
