Having some trouble with 4.1.1...anyone else?

Since the 4.1.1 OTA update I've been having problems getting the Smartactions app to work. I was having problems with a few other apps, but they all seem to be caught up in updates. I tried using the Smartactions app bone stock on 4.1.1, then rooted, then uninstalling the updates in the Play Store, then re-installing the updates from the Play Store. No dice. Anyone else have an issue? Did you manage to get it resolved? If so, how?
Thanks!

[Q] Stop OTA JB nag screen on GT-3110

I have no desire to update my ICS tablet to JB yet keep receiving a nag screen asking me to update every 3 hours. Is there a way to stop this?
solution...
I too faced the same problem few days back. One solution is to freeze the "software update" system app using Link2SD or Titanium Backup.Second is to go to settings-->about device-->software update --> uncheck box and third rename etc/security/otacerts.zip to otacerts.bak and clear the cache to delete already downloaded OTA file (it will be around 379 MB )
PS: I upgraded to JB using Kies finally to see how JB was

B127 to B137SP03 update trouble

Hi All,
Early this morning a update was proposed for my MT7-L09...
This update went automatic and successful, it's was from V100R001C00B127 to V100R001C00B137SP03.
But...since the update I constantly get a 'Huawei Swype has stopped' message.
And there is no more keyboard popping up when I want to enter text...in any application.
It renders my phone a bit useless
Any ideas? Thanks!

[Q] Constant error after installing the lastest OTA.

Hello!
My phone is rooted and has no custom roms or kernels.
I went from kitkat to lollipop to the lastest OTA update.
At first, everyone was having issues with the Google Play services wakelock, so I installed the popular suggestion of Calkulin's Google Play app. I installed it and everything was fine.
Ever since I flashed the lastest OTA via TWRP, I have this constant error pop up and it comes back every 2 seconds.
"Unfortunately, the processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped."
How do I solve this issue? Thanks!

I have the exact same issue...and I also used Calkulin's zip....so the only problem I was having before manually applying 17L was the 1 popup when I rebooted saying messaging app stopped. I did a nandroid backup 10 minutes before I applied 17L which is what I had to revert back to since those processcom.google.process.gapps has stopped messages make the phone unusable. I guess I will just stay on cm-12.0-YNG1TASOTL until there is a fix....don't want to lose all my data with a factory reset. From what I have heard the update is not worth all that.

I am doing a clean flash....I did a titanium backup of my apps
Went into TWRP 2.8.6
Did Factory Reset
Installed Zip
Wipe devik/cache.....twrp will ask you to root
go through set up...I choose to set up phone as new device so Google would not try to put all my apps back
Update the SuperSU Binary if needed
DL Titanium Backup from the play store...and restore your apps...only 60% done with restore process but I hope it works....so far no pop-ups

Small issue after blocking ota updates using titanium backup

I flashed the latest firmware with ODIN (N915TUVS2DPG2_N915TTMB2DPG2_TMB.zip). Rooted and working well. Began getting a firmware update message to install the same firmware. Asked to install now or later. Actually tried to install it and it just failed and went back to normal. A couple days later it would pop up again.
Using titanium, I froze the following:
Security policy updates 4.1.46
Software update 1.5.04
Software update 3.1.12
I then wiped my cache only in TWRP. I no longer get the firmware download message, however I get one minor notification that shows up when I go to the phones "settings". Notification says "Software updates. Tap here to update the firmware to the latest version and use the latest features." If you tap it, it does nothing. I can close it but it will show up again. It also shows up under "About" in the device settings. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything so far. Just a minor annoyance. Not clear why it is happening at all.
I am on the T-mobile version of firmware. Anyone else experiencing this? Thank you.

Could be because Samsung likes rat ware.
The security could be getting used to aid in O/S updates.
Given that you've frozen them and they could be tied together .............

I am also experiencing this. Have you found a solution? I know it's an old thread, but it's very annoying. TIA

I have noticed that things "frozen" by Ti backup still can have an effect.
Example I run Nova Launcher and lock down Samsung's launcher.
I then start having weird problems including restarts.
Since I'm rooted, I back up the system and remove the Samsung launcher.
Much better.
