I have had the Galaxy S 3 for almost 2 weeks now, and I noticed it will not download anything over my mobile data. Wifi works like a charm, but at work, I need credentials to use the wifi, so I just dont bother with it. I was going to install an app off of the play store and it would not go. It said downloading and the bar was constantly moving, but no numbers telling how far done. It sat like that for 10 mins and nothing happened. This has happened before to me when trying to download pics off of the internet. Live browsing works fine though. Facebook app works great, google chrome browser works unless you try to download.
I am unsure if this is a setting thing, or verizon blocking downloading off of mobile data or what? The app was under 2Mb so it wasn't a big one at all. I have my mobile data on (4G), power saving off, airplane and driving mode off, and sync on. For sync on my main account I only have gmail and internet set to sync though... I dont want all the other BS syncing its just annoying.
If someone could shed some light on this topic because I am so confused as to what is going on.
Is this a re-occuring problem or was it the one time in the play store/picture download? I know sometimes when you download or update from the play store, it gets stuck. You just have to cancel it and restart it. As for the picture download, it may have just been the hosting website.

If I remember this is not the first time. I believe I was in a hurry trying to download an app and it wouldn't go so i just quit it and gave up. I have tried a couple different apps and tried one about 5 times after resetting the phone and trying different settings and nothing I could do would get it to work.
I have nearly the same issue, except, speeds are just exceptionally slow. I get tons of "network not available" type errors. 22+ hours on the phone with Verizon tech support, 4 SIM cards and 6 total hours on the phone with Samsung and all they can tell me is it's "either the network or the phone!?" They told me my phone was DOA and swapped it out. My new phone suffers the same problems, slightly worse. Verizon won't admit the phone could have a flaw directly to me but others on this website say their reps have told them the issue is well known and they are looking into it. The issues seems to be; Long latency, dropping signal with no indication, slow network speeds over 3g/4g as compared to other devices on the same network, at the same time (not always the case though..), long periods when text messages come in, dropped calls, etc.
VZW is supposedly checking into my local network now. I'm supposed to be updated on their status, but I know what they're going to say.. "Network's fine!"
The only thing left is the device. Others, including yourself seem to be having similar issues. There's alot of talk about "Samsungs radios suck" or "You should have known buying a samsung that it's radio could maybe not work that great.." I dunno.
Seems to me a radio should be kinda a priority in a mobile device. My apologies for not being born with the innate knowledge of samsungs less than stellar radios.
Some are hopeful for an update. That update apparently never came to the Nexus. I don't think it's reasonable to expect it here either.
I flashed the Synergy Rom and it seems to have helped immensely. It's not as reliable or consistent as the ole X2 over the same network but then again, it is a Samsung, I guess.

Well thanks for bringing that to my attention and letting me know I am not the only one with this issue. I just wasn't sure if it was known as a problem or a setting I had turned off or something stupid like that. Because I know there are ways to disable mobile data so it doesn't suck it all away.
Doesn't seem like a radio issue in my case, as everything works fine, its just when downloading from mobile it doesn't work. Regular browsing is fine and so is internet use in apps, its just the downloads. Wasn't sure if it was a verizon policy to lockout downloads, as this is my first smartphone, or if it was a phone issue itself.
I am not going to use ROMs on my phone, or anything like that. Ill just put up with it until there is a possible fix. Its not too big of a deal, it just helps when you need something and theres no wifi around.

I just got my Nexus S this Sunday, and it worked fine for the first day. Second day came along, and it started acting up. When I tried downloading stuff from the Market, it would "start" the download, so when you checked on the Notification Bar, it had the Arrow pointing down, but no Data was being transferred. It just stalled there, without any progress being made. I've tried rebooting, and once that worked, but it never seemed to work again after that. It works flawlessly if I'm 3G, though.
Just yesterday I rooted for the first time, and got CM7, didn't like the Home Screen Replacement, and switched to NS Collab. I haven't really done any fiddling besides that. It was actually already acting up being I ever even thought of rooting.
I've tried the GTalk solutions, signing on and off: nothing.
Help?
Anyone?
I just got this phone, this shouldn't be happening now...

Do you think I should try installing anything on it?
Or is it a problem with my Network? I don't really have access to any other WiFi Connections right now, so I have no clue if the problem is with my WiFi.
Hmm, strange. I have never used 3G on my nexus...only wifi and never had a problem browsing, downloading or whatever.
I would say that your problem is with your wifi device.
I've tried opening Port 5228 on my Firewall, but still, nothing.
What pisses me off the most, is that, Samsung throws the blame at Google, Google doesn't know what to do about it, tells me to do random things, such as open Talk, instead of giving actual solutions. And the things they tell me to do don't work at all.
I can see why people prefer iOS over Android.
Simple: it just works! Android is flaky as heck.
Don't get me wrong, I really like my phone, but for it to not function properly within the first week of me using it is bull****. And then the company that's supposed to oversee this doesn't have a friggen clue about what to do. Incredible.
maybe you have a bugged phone...
one thing you should notice is that the wifi reception on this phone is weak, that´s a fact. But I manage to connect either open and wep/wpa wifi networks...
That's the thing though, WiFi works perfectly. I can connect and do anything on it, I'm even using the XDA apply over Wifi right now. The only thing I can't do is download anything from the market...
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
puuuutz, now I got it. hmm, on early days of nexus, I read a post that people coudn´t get in the market store or download. To fix, the suggestion was reinstall market, but don´t ask me how, cause I dont know, uahuahauh.
now, my nexus is stock, not rooted, and everything works fine. maybe if you try get back to stock, will work...
good luck
I've tried deleting all updates the Market installed on itself, getting it back to its stock version, nada.
Since yesterday, I've also reverted back to stock. The bootloader is still unlocked, though I might lock it up soon.
Much rather have a functioning phone, even if parts of it aren't perfect, than a pretty paperweight.
I'm almost giving up on trying to fix this. Google has no clue of what to do, Samsung much less. I guess I'll just stick with the apps I have, and wait until eventually Google fixes the issue.
I was told on another forum that this issue I've been having, is being talked about here on xda, and is some new bug that isn't figured out yet.
If I could be pointed to a thread that is talking about this, thank you.
My problem...
I've been dealing with data issues for 5 days, and I'm going crazy!
Long story short, had zero data for 3 days, spoke with tech support for over an hour, and ended up hard resetting, which ended up bringing back data.
Now to my current problem. I can't seem to find anyone else with this issue. From the stock browser, or Dolphin HD, I try to load a website (any website - even a small page like google), and I'll have a delay for about 20-30 seconds before it wants to do anything. Once that delay passes, then I have my normal 4g speed loads. However it only loads about 90%, then stops.
I've had a couple page loads that acted normally, but 99% have had this horrible delay, with a good handful not loading at all.
Please help me figure this problem out.
Please, someone. I really need help with this.
See this thread.
tl;dr: Verizon appears to have problems with IPv6 lately, and their DNS servers are returning v6 addresses for some sites. Your problem is most likely that you're failing to get to the site via IPv6 (which is preferred) and it waits to timeout (30 sec., usually) before switching to IPv4. If you're rooted, you can force a different DNS server (Post 47). Otherwise, 3G won't give you trouble.
Thank you so much!!!
Not rooted, so I guess I'll just switch it to 3g until things get better with Verizon.
Do you happen to know if this is something that they are working on and will be fixed soon, or might it be like this for a while?
Switching it to 3g worked perfectly. Thanks again.
I've always had a super strong 4g connection where I live and work, that I've never really had the need to switch to 3g.
Going to miss my 4g until they get it working again though
Unfortunately, nobody knows when it'll be back to normal. If you call and talk to a tech, they'll just tell you that they're still rolling it out and will fix problems as they can.
Personally, I think that Verizon's DNS servers just haven't propagated the removal of the AAAA (IPv6) records. Once that happens, and the phones update, your connection should return to normal.

Y'know, switching between CDMA and LTE should result in a new DHCP request, which also might result in you getting a different DNS server. If you've got nothing better to do, you could try switching back to LTE every hour or so and see if you get a better/more current DNS server.
Worth a shot. Might as well give it a try. I'll be sitting at my desk at work for the next 6 hours, so...
I have owned the sensation for 3 weeks and have had random problems that most have reported. Screen responsiveness, occassional connection problems, lag, unable to spin the carousel, and other little issues. I exchanged my first Sensation and now having the same issues with this one.
I was doing some thinking and after reading a zillion forums decided to try something. I downloaded the stock rom (ruu file) and reinstalled the rom file. I did not enter my google info during set-up. I went into privacy settings and unchecked back-up and restore options. I then entered my google account only.
So far my phone is running MUCH BETTER and VERY responsive. I can carousel EASILY!!!! It's like a new phone. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!
I have not added any apps OR any other type of social networking stuff. And I also shut-off that Tmobile contact sync.
Might be worth a shot for some of you.....
I will update this thread and let all of you know how its working.....
I told people about this when I first git the phone but everyone was like....."how would that effect anything". It does because I've done this on 4 different Sensations and all of them ran slower after it loaded all of my settings automatically. On each of them, I disabled the restore settings feature and imputed my Google info after disabling this and every phone was more responsive. I don't understand why but I'm glad someone else noticed it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
I think that most of the problems that people are reporting with the Sensation are software problems. It seems as the phones get faster they also get much more complicated and in my opinion, the manufactures are pushing out phones before the software has been fully tested and evaluated IN THE REAL WORLD!!!
They seem to lose sight that quality is MORE important then a deadline. If you can't do it right...don't do it!!!!
But instead they hype us up with slick marketing and make us go crazy buying their phones that are not ready to be released. Then we exchange/return until the buyers remorse period has passed and then we are stuck with a device that does not live up to the nearly $600 that we paid. Yes WE ALL PAY FOR IT.....if you think that you paid $148 for your Sensation,,,, please look at your MONTHLY bill.
It's not just HTC or Tmobile. It's Apple, MS, LG, ATT, Verizon, etc.....
Im very confident that the Sensation will eventually work as designed and marketed....I just hate that I'm a sucker!!!! I'm an early adopter and this is the price I pay because I have no patience!!!
Now that I ranted...try the rom reinstall so far my phone works flawlessly. As I have said before...its like I have a new phone....the Sensation 2....

Interesting.
I didn't think about turning those off.
Tried it...seems to improve things a bit.
Good thing you didn't title your thread..."I Think I *May* Have Discovered Something".
I've re-installed with the ruu multiple times and it didnt fix anything, no improvement. I've had 4 sensations, first 3 had the touchscreen issue, the 4th i'm only 2 days in and it hasn't messed up yet, its about time though. There are a hundred different things people have done to temporarily fix their problems, most aren't reproducible. Thats what is so strange about this phone. I've had the touchscreen become responsive like new a few times, just like others, and we are always trying to figure out what we did to make it work. I think its a coincidence when it starts working, thats why there are sooo many different posted solutions.. (only talking about touchscreen issues here)
hmmmm.....How did you re-install? via PC or from SD card?

Hmmm.... Why get a smartphone then?
Hope it works for you mate, but I can bet that touch screen issue will be back.
Im trying to see if any of the problems would return while the phone was completely stock. I kept it app free for 24 hours and it has worked great...no problems.
I just added a bunch of apps late last night and so far it has continued to run great. I will keep testing and adding more until I get back to the way I normally use my phone.
So far...i can spin the carousel very easily, screen is still responsive, no connection issues as of yet, and my battery has lasted over 24 hours and it still has over 50% of its charge!!
No social networking yet...I usually have Facebook, Twitter, and recently google+. I'm saving those for last since I suspect those might be some of the problem.
I did add all of my email accounts and my exchange account. So far it's still great!
When you say reinstall do you mean do a factory reset?
I downloaded the stock Rom and flashed via my pc. Took about 5 or 10th minutes. So far it has worked for me. It's been 48 hours and I have not had a return of any of the problems I had before.

Yes, i used this RUU_Pyramid_TMOUS_1.29.531.2_Radio_10.42.9007.00P_10.11.9007.15_M_release_193714_signed from my computer. I've also done factory reset from recovery as well as from Settings, SD & Phone storage--Factor data reset. All appear to look like the exact same state as when new, just unboxed. I would think that if it was a software issue that one of those methods would fix it everytime, since it worked wonderfully when new in that same configuration.
But when you look at it another way ..If it was Hardware, why wouldnt it do it as soon as you turn it on, brand new? Why does it take a few days? So far this 4th phone has ran longer than the others, no problems yet. It's loaded with tons of software and no bloat removal and its still the fastest phone ive ever used. Damn i hope it stays that way...
This is my last attempt to fix these issues. All three phones, my two and my wifes sensation, all have the death grip issue. And that alone is a very big design flaw. I can kill WiFi with just place my finger along the back top edge of the phone. It really becomes a problem watching videos. As soon as hold the phone on the WiFi antenna side, WiFi drops.
Thinking of returning and getting the mytouch 4g slide. Basically same specs just smaller screen.

So this is my first samsung (S6 Edge 64) since the moment (which was an absolutely terrible phone and i vowed to never go samsung again) Ive been with HTC ever since the OG EVO. I was very excited to get the s6 mainly for QI and fingerprint scanner.
Well my problem is im having nothing but issues with this damn thing. MMS messages wont download unless i force stop play services and hangouts and clear cache then reboot. Also i dont get any of my push notifications like i should. With my m7 as soon as i use my gwallet card my phone would go off with the push notif. now i can use the card and ill be lucky if i get a notification ever. My google opinion rewards never show up, emails dont come in until i open the app and manually refresh. In general everything that makes this a worthy smartphone is failing, what good is it to have always connected internet if i dont get my notifications how im supposed to. Its almost as if data just stops working until i force it to work. Along with that data apps will take forever to load most of the time and i have to reboot to fix it. This is also evident when i try to open gwallet to add some funds to my card, the app will open and i put in my pin and it just sits there waiting to log in. The other day i was in line at the store and it took me 10 minutes of F^#&!ng around with gwallet to get it to finally log in correctly and let me add funds. At that point I felt like smashing the POS on the ground. Again I open up the m7 and click gwallet and BAM it opens up instantly with ZERO FU#KING ISSUES
Also the wireless charger on both my gf and my phone dont keep the phone topped off, we will wake up and the phone only be at 80-90% charge.
Also the Night clock on the edge lights up the whole damn screen, WTF is that all about, was that really not noticed in QA testing???
I have turned off connections optimizer since its garbage software, i made sure everything i want to sync is set so and ive checked all the settings multiple times (again no one should have to jump through all these hoops to get the phone working how its supposed to out of the box)
Ive cleared all google services cache and wiped dalvik six times in recovery. When i got the phone i skipped setup and downloaded the OTA, let that install then did a factory reset and then finally i set my phone up. Still have the issues.
My gf phone (regular s6 32) is also having mostly similar issues and she just jumped ship from the iphone 5. Her facebook almost never loads correctly, unless she is on wifi which is a slower connection by far (home wifi is aprox 8mbps and her cellular data in the same spot is aprox 15-20mbps)
This is NOT how a $1k phone should act. Its not an issue with google either as i can turn my m7 back on and connect it to wifi and everything works perfectly. All notifications populate instantly how it should.
One thing Apple does get right is the stuff usually just works and works well. Im an experienced tech guru and even im having these problems, If someone like me has these issues i can only understand how someone might feel coming from an iphone or something else.
All in all I know not everyone is having these problems (or at least all of them) but its really upsetting me and again samsung is putting a terrible taste in my mouth.
This is the end of my rant for now, im sure ive forgotten some of the issues ive had so far but ill leave the book as it is now. Anyone else getting extremely frustrated with this phone that costs way to much to be having these problems with!!
I called sprint about the data not syncing known issue they said latest software has issues to wait for an update from samsung have to use wifi to sync gmail and same if you use facebook prolly same thing with wallet i dont use it so not sure playstore and internet browser work on lte dont use mms much will have to test that today

Does your auto rotate at least work? If so, consider yourself lucky.
The night clock thing seems to be a software issue but Samsung support is clueless about it.
I've got the same issue as you my friend. This just starting happening to me. I will not get any notifications at work. ZERO. No email notifications, groupme, twitter nothing! I have called sprint and they just tell me to update PRL and Profile. Most of the time that works but I shouldn't have to do this. It has to be something about Spark switching off to LTE and 3g making you lose your profile on the network. I have go as far as switching my preferred network to LTE/CDMA instead of Auto and DATA roaming is set to HOME only. I'm hoping this fixes the issue for now until Sprint and Samsung can get this worked out. I am 95% sure this is a Samsung issue. My note 2 and Nexus 6 never had this issue.

I do have working auto rotate, and your right about night clock being a software issue, what upsets me is samsung is clueless about it? Again all the testing that goes on i cant believe no one noticed it before a major multinational launch. It works fine in the news feed but not the night clock that seems crazy to me.

This is definitely a samsung problem, as there are many other spark phones in the wild that have no issues receiving notifications or dealing with slow (dormant) data. I havent looked but is sprint the only one that is having these data issues, i wonder if it has something to do with that bullsh!t connections optimizer more than the towers handing off. That has got to be the most worthless software they have ever forced on us, the absolute first thing i do on any sprint phone is disable that malware. Except for my whole family has LG G3 and no matter how many times you uncheck that connections optimizer it just turns itself back on, GARBAGE
I completely agree about that garbage Sprint optimization app. I've turned that crap off. I've also changed my network preferences to see if that helps. I've gone to home and CDMA/LTE
You guys think that if we wait to see if Sprint can fix this problem that we will still be able to return our phones after the 14 day period if the problem isn't fixed? Because a lot of people on only Sprint have been having this issue. Everyone else on other carriers is enjoying their new Galaxy S6. Has anyone contacted Samsung about the return policy?

I have no idea about Samsung's return policy. Seeing that other cell services are not having this issue I am more sure now it's a issue with Sprint's signal and
Samsung's Cell radio's not playing together nicely. I can see that my download and upload speeds are working fine. It's when the signal goes dormant that
I miss notifications and emails. Which leads me to believe that this can be fixed via a software update. If it was a major issue with the phone every cell customer
would have it. I did see on the sprint website that Samsung and Sprint have acknowledge the problem and are working together. Let's hope an update is sent soon.

My sprint store said to call Samsung. I've had my phone for 18 days. If you're within 14 it's worth a try. Since they won't exchange I'm stuck with a phone where the screen doesn't rotate. It's very frustrating.

Just wanted to update you guys. After talking to Samsung and Sprint on the phone, I was finally able to get a sprint phone rep to notate my account to do an in store exchange even though I was out of the 14 days. So, give that a shot maybe. So far this phone only has the night clock issue. Going to stop using the fast charger in the meantime though.
I've been on 3g for a while now due to this issue, do you guys think if I switch to LTE/CDMA and roaming to homez it'll also work fine?
Im going on my 3rd phone. The first one was the rotation issue, second one my speaker stopped working on calls. Other end could not hear me.
So since I've posted this my push notifications have been better but i still have plenty of the other issues.
I wonder if gplay services have helped any
Great Phone

I didn't come from iPhone... But considering there are tons of issues out there for this phone...and that the phone isn't lag free and in fact lags like crazy sometimes is very sad. It's a great phone and all and I truly believe its one of the best out, but Samsung really needs to get a lot of their bugs kinked out like NOW. I hate waiting for updates.

I also hate waiting for updates...and its not like were waiting for updates for new features or a new os were waiting for the update to make the phone operate how is supposed to thats what irks me
I just bought 2 OnePlus 8Ts from that awesome buy one, get one 50% off deal they had.
The phone is beautiful, and so fast compared to my old Pixel 2XL, I'm loving almost all of it. BUT, of course, there are some issues and I'm not sure if I should wait it out or return the phones.
WiFi seems to be working with most of my routers, but there's one fancy combined AP we're trying to use throughout the house, and when we try to connect with either phone, it says connecting for a second, then goes back to "Saved" - no useful error message, of course, just never manages to connect.
YouTube Music has, multiple times, frozen up while downloading music. When it happens, the main app stops loading data and I can't access my library, etc. I think force closing it fixes it, but I can't remember because I also rebooted the phone to fix the issue once.
I've heard complaints about cell reception. I'm supposed to receive my Google Fi sim today to check, but a little worried about that.
My brother has had a google play issue where Chrome says it needs an update, but when he goes to the play store, he clicks update, it says it's updated, then goes back to Chrome and it says it needs an update.
I've noticed video playback issues. Like using Google News, certain sites auto-play videos, and it just says "Can't play video. Try again." Clicking through to the actual video shows the same error.
I know some of these issues might not sound like the phone itself, but I don't have any of these issues on my Pixel 2XL, and it seems likely that it's OnePlus software (or maybe even hardware codecs not provided?) causing the issues.
I love this phone so far, but I'm worried that these issues are going to linger or never be fixed, which would suck long term.
Any suggestions?
I personally have not experienced any of what you are describing.
I have a mesh network and have not experienced any issues
YTMusic is my streaming service and works fine
Cell reception is actually the best I have ever had. I am on the 8t+5G from T-Mob and using their network again. I had Google Fi and was always forcing T-Mobile as sprint had issues
The first bullet point rings of major network infrastructure issues at your home that go beyond the cellphone.
The Google news issue again sounds like network shenanigans to me.
Do you experience any of the issues you list away from your home network(s)?

Thanks for the response! Good to know you're not seeing these issues.
I'll ask my brother to tweak some WiFi settings to see if we can drill down on the issue. Seems so weird to me. And it's only one of our access points that has an issue. I also can't test outside of our home network really, still waiting for a damn Fi sim to be delivered so I can use the phone outside! haha
The reason I think it's the phone is because I don't have any networking issues with my laptop or Pixel 2XL.
The YT Music thing is weird, it only seems to trigger when I queue some downloads (playback is fine otherwise). I'll play around with it more.
Google News is only some videos. It could be network, but I guessed codecs or something because it's not consistent. Weird, just clicked through a little bit more and it's specifically in the News feed, on the website it works. And works on the P2XL - CNN's video on Hurricane Iota is an example.
I'll have to check and see if some Play services need an update or something. *shrug*
One issue is solved! Our mesh WiFi (Cisco something or other) has some incompatibilities with some Android phones, and there were instructions on how to tweak the settings to bypass the issues
The other issues aren't a huge deal, as long as reception is fine.

Everything you are describing would require network resources to execute wifi or cell data.
Depending on how heavily modified your home wifi is just about anything could be causing intereference.
Can you snag some free wifi at the coffee shop or something like that to try it out?

WiFi is solved - it was an incompatibility between the router and some Android devices which could be fixed with config tweaks.
I don't think the others are networking issues, but I'm always down to test (and happy to prove myself wrong) COVID makes it more difficult, but I'll probably be able to find somewhere to test wifi before the return period is up (next Friday). Hopefully the sim arrives today so I can test that way as well.
Either way, I think I'll be able to get to a point that I don't want to return the phone. At least I hope - I'm really happy with it other than these tiny issues.

That's great advice, I can't believe I didn't think of it. It also sounds like a huge pain, but I'll def try it if I'm on the fence about returning this weekend.
Still waiting for OnTrac to deliver my sim - just want to give a shout out to them as the worst shipper around
return it. it's a bad phone. and im say this as someone who had 6t for 2 years, 7t since april this year, and just returned 8t. the quality decrease... they only compete in numbers, not quality. it only shows sad direction of oneplus. so sad people shill this company, its now a shadow of what it used to be in its pinnacle - 3t/5/5t
With most of Googles stuff running through Chrome. Are you sure the videos that say, can't be played, might be blocked by an ad blocker? I have had none of the issues with the 8T+ 5G and the reception is on par with my 8 and 7 Pro.

That sucks. My first experience with them was the OnePlus One, and this device is so much better, it's hard to even compare.
If you got them at Tmobile return them they suck never updates is not the same as the global us version. There is also missing features.
Go before the 14 days.

T-Mobile doesn't update them. OnePlus does! T-Mobile also charges a $50 restocking fee, per device.
I bought directly from OnePlus.
I've have nothing but great experiences with oneplus. I moved away from samsung for oneplus. I figure this: you have 120hz refresh rate, 12 gb of ram and 256 gb of internal storage for 749.99. I mean, come on.....
do you want you phone to cost as much as your rent? <joke>

True, oneplus updates thru t-mobile lags hard. Now, on other hand, if I had the means, I totally buy it outright from oneplus themselves.
I do see your point. =)
Alright, I'm just gonna do a quick update.
First, OnTrac really does suck, they accidentally sent my brother's sim to another state, and mine has no status updates 4 days after it was supposed to be delivered.
BUT I didn't know you can just pay $10 for a Fi sim at BestBuy, so now I'm all set!
As for the issues:

WiFi: Fixed. Router incompatibility, but tweaked settings allowed the 8t to connect.
YouTube Music: Not sure, but it seems fine, and overall not a very big issue if I have to force quit occasionally.
Reception: Can't say 100%, but had 5G inside of BestBuy, and LTE/5G at home with full bars, so I'm pretty content to say this is fine.
Chrome Update: My brother rebooted his phone and the problem went away *shrug*
Video Playback in Google News: As @parakleet said, this is somehow a networking issue! Works fine when I disable wifi! I'm baffled that it's not an issue on other phones at home, but happy to be proved wrong.
So, overall, I'm now excited to have an 8T I can use as an actual phone, and it seems stable and working
