Hi
I have a verbatim 8GB sd card that got into RAW after a bad shutdown of my xperia x8(I think)
well i managed to get it back working to fat32 but now my phone does't recognize it, only the pc sees it so is there any solution to fix this?(NOTE: other cards are recognized so it isn't my phone's fault)
Have you tried CardRecovery?
tried 'erase card' from phone?

did you try if other micro sd cards still work? if other also dont work it is the phone but I do suggest you try to backup and format it differently quite easy with windows 7

Logcat?
Edit: this is just to rule out other possibilities, other than the card not mounting...

I wanted to use swap over the sd-card partition. And i used MiniTool partition program.I followed something wrongly.I deleted the partition. Now the sdcard wont be recognised either on the PC or the phone.I would really apreciate help because it is a 16 gb sd class 10 card.i payed a lot for it,so i dont want to have 25$ in trash.:crying:
Boot into recovery and use the options there to partition & format your SD card from your phone.
And if you paid $50 for 16GB card, you got ripped off.

It said that can't mount sdcard.can't read sdcard
Put the SD card in your computer, and use this to format it.

i tied that already. its partitioned with ext4 partition & Linux swap partition would this affect it
I believe Ext4 should be fine, I'm not sure, I know more about Tipo, which uses ext4 as far as I know.
About swap, I am not sure if J or XJ supports it, as tipo or miro support it neither...

just tried a clean sd card unpartitioned still the same. i think this is a problem with the phone. ive updated to the new 7.5 firmware but still the same ):
U able to format it from phone?

yea i clicked the (blank sdcard or unsupported file system) notification in the draw and it asked me if i want to format i clicked ok but its still the same. its defiantly formated as fat32.
If you have any more SD cards nearby, try them. Or, try this SD card in another Android friend, even a friend's phone for 1 minute. This would help isolate whether it's the SD or the phone. I agree with the user above, I think it's likely a format issue, even though I can see you've tried a few things. On the rare occasion that this has happened to me, it was a format issue.

After deleting one photo from my phone's 32 gb samsung class 10 micro sd card, it suddenly unmounted, and i was not able to mount it again. Also i was not able to mount it to my netbook(win xp), or my workspace computer(linux mint) with micro sd card adapter.
Is there any way to mount it, to repair it, or at least to save the pictures from it?
Looks like the Card got corrupted or damaged. If at least your PC detects the card, you could have use recovery software.
Try if any card reader can detect ur sdcard to pc,, and if detect u can try to format it,,

Yes, i tried it, but it not works, recovery also can't mount the microsd card
I am still looking for solutions to recover my data from the card but found nothing.
Looks like your card is corrupted. If you can't get your PC/Lappy to recognize it then you're out of options methinks.
BUT, make absolutely sure that there are no lock switches on the adapter or the SD card which are actually preventing access to the card.

I am absolutely sure, there are no lock switch on the sd card reader, microsd card, and the adapter is not locked
My i9305T Galaxy S3 is not reading micro SD cards at all. I have tried using the cards in my computer, and they work fine. My phone, on booting has a notification that states "Preparing SD card; Checking for errors.", Then after a minute or two, has another notification stating that the SD card is safe to remove. I have tried with multiple SD cards, they all work in a PC, but not my phone.

so the phone shows nothing when browsing trough your files with a filemanager?
In that case Are you using the stock rom? some custom roms may have problems with the reading of big (64 GB) MicroSD cards.
Format using fat32 make sure it's not xfat

Same problem
I'm close to getting a new phone. My s3 won't read any SD card I insert in. I tried formatting from exfat to NTFS and nothing changed. Also tried rebooting, switching roms, clearing my SD card, and pretty much anything else I can think of.
Any of you guys know a solution, or a potential solution?

So guys... Im back after going back to stock and STILL my phone won't recognize my SD card. Any other ideas before I call it quits and buy a new phone? really desperate here.
First time I tried to use sd card on my phone today. It doesn't read the card. Card is working fine. I tested it on pc and on another phone. I formatted it on pc and nothing changed. Phone is us unlocked and running stock oreo. Anyone has the same problem? Or solution?
Edit: problem solved when I format the card through my old phone but not from my pc.
I've had the issue before.. Back up everything on it and format it through your phone, not from a PC... I know it's a well known fact, but in case you don't know, if you ever format a card from your PC, don't use the format tool that comes with Windows, it doesn't format correctly and could damage the card... Also, before you put the card back in the phone, try wiping the terminals on it before re-inserting it

What file system are you using on the card? Try formatting with a different file system to see if you can get it to read.. I had an Android set top box that wouldn't read exFAT but if read NTFS without any issues

For the heck of it, try FAT32.. If you can get it to read in the phone then, reformat it again from the phone.. If it still doesn't read, try another card in the phone to make sure it isn't the phone itself or the rom you have installed.. If the other card works, maybe contact the manufacturer of the card to see if you can get a replacement.. I've done that for a few SanDisk cards already and their customer service is pretty good from my experience
*Edit* I also have had luck with the format tool on SD card.org
