Help to test a radio player

Hi,
I'm looking for some WP7 owners to help test a radio player I'm developing for these phones.
It's browser-based, so there's no need to install anything.
I'm basically interested in which phones play which audio formats.
So far, I've noticed the Samsung phones play AAC+ radio streams, yet the Nokia phones do not (despite listing AAC+ as a supported codec!)
Please drop me a line at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/form.html if you'd like to help out.
Any HTC/LG phone owners are especially encouraged.
Thanks!
OK, the player is now live. Just point your phone's browser towards www.radiofeeds.co.uk and you should see an additional link at the top of the page.
Any further comments and feedback are welcome, either as replies on this thread, or directly to me through the email form at www.radiofeeds.co.uk/form.html
I've not had any testers with LG phones yet, so if you can report on whether AAC+ streams work with LG phones or not, that would be fab.
They all worked (MP3 and AAC) on my HTC Trophy (U.S.) The first radio station took under a minute to load but the rest loaded with in a second or so. All stations did not buffer and the sound quality was great; not bad for a stream all the way from London.

Try goig into the HTC touch (Elf for GSM/Vogue for CDMA) forum under "Legacy Devices and Low Activity" forums at the bottom of the forums page. There's still some activity there so they may be able to help you out quicker.

According to logs, ffmpeg has halted the playback since the media has reached the "End of Stream". The link you have tried has expired now. So, unable to stream at all. It will be better if you can provide the main Source link of the stream. I will test it myself.

It seems to be a network issue. I have played for 30min in 3 test devices.
Is it only happens with MX?

It's definitely a server side or network side issue. Probably server might be killing idle connections when there is no buffering.

Hello after a long time
Here's a new bug report, i've tried various streaming links, from official links and unofficial one, but still having the same issue.
I've checked the report and it says 404 error from the server side, but its weird because the stream is on and working and it's always on.
Report in the attachments.

Based on the report, the video session has closed as it has reached the end of stream. When video duration is unknown, even connection drop also considered as and of stream. Can you provide some sample links to test?

I've "managed" to kinda solve the issue by enable looping, when i searched "ts stream stops after few seconds" it showed that the ts stream stops after 20 seconds because it fails to buffer.
But the thing is, there are websites with players (online embeded players) which use the example stream link but without any stopping issue. It only happens when using a mobile player like MX and VLC.

Because embedded players for live streaming is designed to always reconnect when connecction dropped. But, not in the case of standalone. Because, they don't know whether the stream is live one or a static video. Generally when the connection is closed on streaming link with unknown duration it's considered as end of stream.
Looping is definitely a good workaround in this situation. As it's a live stream when it loops always loads the current video. So, it will work as intended.

What's the story with MXPlayer by J2 Interactive in 2018? It's all too fishy.

So I'm confused.
I've been using MX Player for over half a decade now. Just the one app, it's the only MX Player in my app history.
Their website is ( http://j2apps.com/ )
But lately it says "including MXPlay". WTF is MXPlay?
They deleted their facebook page that's listed in their Play Store page description.
Also ( https://www.facebook.com/MXPlayer/ ) -- was also deleted.
There are two other pages that haven't been validated by Facebook yet.
( https://www.facebook.com/MXPlay/ ) -- They just updated their page an hour ago with a new name and new logo and foreign language description.
Described as:
Code:
MXPlay - India ka favourite Entertainment app
MXPLAY·THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2018
India ka best video player ab banega India ka Maha entertainment app.
Enjoy 100,000 hours of entertainment for free only on MXPlay.
Update Now! Google Play Store: [url]http://goo.gl/3VU3h1[/url]
India? That's strange, because MX Player is made in Korea. India is only known for its scammers and more scammers.
Their webpage is ( http://www.mxplay.com ) and it's not accessible to people outside of India.
( https://www.facebook.com/mxplayerapp/ ) -- Also fairly active. Their website is http://www.mxplayer.io/
Code:
MX is the best video and music player for Android. This app is better because of its wide range of options
that fine tunes the playback of video and audio files for the best experience.
Pretty clean, familiar facebook page and website. No crazy foreign tongues or new logos, slogans or branding. I'm fairly inclined to believe this is the real deal, but it's not mentioned on the Play Store page.
So, help me out here. Do I need to uninstall MX Player and switch to VLC full time before I'm taken on a wild new ride I didn't sign up for?
It's all too fishy.
I received an email response from the developer. J2 Interactive (Korea) sold MX Player to a company in India. MX Player has been renamed to MXPlay, and is now a form of some India-only Netflix for providing movie streaming subscription services.

Times Internet Limited, India’s largest media house had acquired MX Player (https://techcrunch.com/2018/06/27/times-internet-buys-mx-player-for-140m/) a few months ago. We at MX Player have launched an OTT streaming service for Indian users that will give our users access to over 100,000 hours of great entertainment content across multiple languages and 20 original shows.
For all users outside India, we are still the same video player but better since the acquisition/investment has further strengthened our tech capabilities.
(https://www.facebook.com/mxplayerapp/) and (http://www.mxplayer.io/) is not the not the real MX Player, but just one of the many fake copies of MX Player.
We are working hard to address what users want and in making our video player the best in the world.

Not all Indians are scammers
Man this is really sad knowing your mentality thinking all Indians are scammers when almost all the softwares and technology you are using is developed by many Indians out there.
Those scamming companies are actually outsourced to a few Indians but the profit goes to some guy/ company who is located outside India.
Dude I work in IT. I'm not a spam caller. There are millions of us getting paid like peanuts but keep on building most of the softwares you are using.
Stop this b.s.
Most of the Indian companies which acquires small foreign companies only help them and develop them. Not like many u.s companies who simply kill those companies by acquiring them to kill the competition.
Stop judging all with your pathetic mentality. It's not our fault that your parents taught you to hate on people without even thinking twice. Grow up. Atleast a bit.
Even many Indians work in this community. And you are using these so called "Indian scammer's" tip and help to solve your problems. But the hate will keep on coming. Nice bruh..
@a-raccoon "India is only known for its scammers and more scammers." really? you ignorant POS, incase you don't know

[Bug] stream.ass sub incomplete loading, from_bubbleupnp=true

It took me almost a whole week to isolate issues between Emby DLNA server, Bubbleupnp, and MX Player on Android side...now I'm finally confident enough to report the bug (without bothering the wrong people).
By the way your app is the only one (out of 10+ Android video players) which can decode extra subtitle stream feeding from bubbleupnp. Thank you for putting extra effort to implementing this part of specific code.
Device Manufacturer & Model : Htc 10
Android Version : 8.0
Rom Info: Stock/Custom Rom details Stock
Detailed Problem Description :
From log:
These are the two EXTERNAL subtitle transferred via DLNA, feeded from bubbleupnp android client. (emby dlna server on server side)
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 1) subs=[http://192.168.2.10:8096/Videos/63308/7f086dd972c1dcfd148f2a4e450bfa30/Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 2) title=[Airota&VCB-Studio] Fate stay night Heaven's Feel I - presage flower [Ma10p_1080p][x265_flac]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 3) subs.enable=[http://192.168.2.10:8096/Videos/63308/7f086dd972c1dcfd148f2a4e450bfa30/Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass]
11-13 02:54:38.731 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: 4) from_bubbleupnp=true
11-13 02:54:38.732 31884 31884 V MX.Screen/Dump: << Saved >>
However, you can check this screenshot:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/u4sr5r50ez8aju8/2019-11-13 02.56.29.png?dl=0
There are two subtitle streams.
/Subtitles/5/0/Stream.ass failed to load, ignored by MX Player as a result. (Thus, only 1 stream of subtitle, /Subtitles/4/0/Stream.ass is available, and it should be 2)
I can confirm that the metadata from bubbleupnp is right, the link /5/0/Stream.ass and /4/0/Stream.ass are all readable via ordinary web browsers, and the DLNA module log form emby media server does not produce any error during the test.
Steps to reproduce the problem :
1. Emby DNLA server, make video direct streaming without transcoding; Make a device profile with full EXTERNAL SUBTITLE/format support (also to prevent transcoding and to make sure subtitle stream is transferred via DLNA).
2.Install bubbleupnp and mxplayer on android
3.Bubbleupnp->browse dlna server->choose to play any videofile with 2 or more external subtitles
4.Only one external subtitle is displayed within MX Player. It's worth mentioning that the two or more internal subtitles in mkv/mp4 worked fine, mostly because MX Player's splitter worked VERY WELL.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3uvw5etesn2806h/2019-11-13 03.17.22.png?dl=0
Possible solution:
Read more than 1 subtitle stream from Bubbleupnp, if there's any.
If Bubbleupnp somehow failed to correctly convey multiple subtitle stream(unlikely, as it's been correctly shown in the metadata info, as shown in the previous pic), please tell me - maybe I can report this to bubbleupnp's developer.
Bug Report is attached.
Thank you for this great app, the other competitors are not even close - not even VLC player.

Thanks for your efforts on investigating this. However, We can see only one URI in Subs array passed to MX. We couldn't locate any logs related to "/5/0/Stream.ass".
Could you double-check again?
I can't seem to find the log from bubbleupnp, apart from the metadata screenshot.
If you're sure that bubbleupnp failed to pass the 2nd subtitle stream to MXplayer(since it's not seen in MXplayer's log), I'll file an issue report to bubbleupnp to see if it's on their side.
Thank you for clear things up!

Logs with "MX.Screen/Dump" tag is nothing but the dump of intent used to launch the app, and we can see only one URI in the Subs array. So, we strongly suggest you check with Bubblepnp team so that they can get it sorted.
Thank You.

Sorry if this is not the correct thing to do I am new to these forums and when I saw this thread to do with missing subtitles I was very interested.
On programs (movies) recorded from Free to Air TV from some channels there are some lines of dialogue that do not get displayed on screen when playing in MX Player.
Played in PotPlayer on Windows all dialogue is displayed.
This was after I informed of the issue and they fixed it.
I have posted this in general questions and was advised by a helpful member to email MX Player support with a link to a file where the issue occurs.
I did this and also have previously emailed about this to support but have received no response.
I realise they would receive possibly thousands of emails daily but I am just hoping mine is not overlooked.
I can supply here a link to the file but I am afraid it is not the right thing to do.
Please try to make your excellent MX Player on Android as good as Potplayer on Windows.

Have tried now many times to contact support .
Have sent from different email accounts but still absolutely no response from support.
They say they exist but I doubt it.
