Very good ROM for those who stuck with 2.6 kernels.
Also I confirm it works fine on InsarPad V1 (which is a clone of Sonore Andropad) using stock kernel.
Yet some flaws I found:
busybox: there are two binaries in /system/bin and /system/xbin. Also busybox applets aren't symlinked. I had to restore them with my script.
Bluetooth doesn't work:
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 16:50:21 +0600: D/BluetoothService( 90): Bluetooth state 10 -> 11
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 16:50:22 +0600: V/BluetoothEventRedirector( 5783): Received android.bluetooth.adapter.action.STATE_CHANGED
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 16:50:22 +0600: I/bluedroid( 90): Starting hciattach daemon
...
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 16:50:32 +0600: E/bluedroid( 90): bt_enable: Timeout waiting for HCI device to come up
Mon, 21 Jul 2014 16:50:32 +0600: D/BluetoothService( 90): Bluetooth state 11 -> 10

Google+ app's background process crashes regularly. But that's probably Google's problem.
Camera works in photo mode but in video it just rejects to react on commands: hardware button "Back", stop recording etc. Also Hangouts fails to work with video=on.
@Oma7144, thanks a lot for this ROM!

Cool.
It seems the hci implementaion in your stock kernel is different. So no chance.
I could be wrong, but Google+ and Hangouts wasn't invented at the time the build was done.

Also ntpd doesn't work. (that means time is not set automatically from the net)

Hello Oma7144,
First of all sorry to dig up this old topic of yours.
I found this and it seemed the solution to my problems so i have question for you:
- Can this rom be used with the tablet BQ Tesla witch also has the RK2918 chipset? I would like to install a Android 2.3 based rom on this tablet because of performance issues with the latest roms that are out for this model. Can this be done?
Thanks.

Don't be sorry. This ROM is still very actual for some tablets that don't have 3.0 kernel.

Most likely yes, but I believe you can run JB/CM10.1 ROM by Oma which is way better.

Actually I'm using Oma rom Jelly Bean on my Bq Tesla tablet but I feel it would maybe run better with a android 2.3 rom since this version is lighter and not so memory hungry.
My question to Oma is can this be done since my Bq Tesla came originally with a 3.0 kernel?

I doubt that. IMHO Android 4+ is faster then 2.3, Google made a great job. Though that only with enough amount of RAM (512 would be great).

Doubt that again. @Oma7144 ?

Negative, GB will not run on a post GB kernel.

Flash update.img with RKBatch-Tool and run format_NAND fix in CWM.
As I do not have the hardware at hand I can't test.
Edit: successfully installation on Odys Noon
- Oma -
Hi.Will I be able to install this rom on a Pipo S1? Thank you.
Well, I can run the S1 Firmware on my Genio. So I guess it is possible only by changing the kernel. Give it a try.
- Oma -
So.I follow the instructions that are in the package and I only change the kernel, right?
Yes. Also copy format_NAND fix and model fix to extSD.
First start will be into CWM. Then install both fixes (install zip from sd-card).
Got attached feedback from exxpecial. PCBA = DS733 V3.0 2012_10_18.
- Oma -
The last two pictures are from the inside ...... pipo s1 ..... but I guess you already know.
Greetings and other things
I think I found a problem ..... or I have a problem .... try to explain ..... when you run the fix zip to rename partitions .... renames one .... as external sd .... when in fact it is the sd .... this causes when you install a program to move applications to the SD card and have not physically inserted sd ...... can not move apps to this partition .... not sure if I explained
The solution requires an external SD. Without it will not work.

Absolutely Brilliant I love this tablet! and your rom completes it. I do however do not like the home launcher, If you could can you please port the android 4.1.1 back into the device? Also you do not need so many cpu tuning and system tuning apps. I tried using pimp my rom but all most eveything I tried had no effect at all! However the performance and battery life is spectacular for this rom you have made, If you could I would be very grateful if you made a light version of the rom aka no bloatware etc remove all unecessary apps?

The combination tab/firmware is fast enough for everything, so additional tuning maybe show not that effect
I compile the images for my personal use and let all other participate (if they like).
So there maybe a lot of apps you will never use. You can strip that down by using hiuninstaller for example.
The build comes with stock launcher, too.

I aso noticed that when gaming your rom starts freezing and i get massive lag spikes! I know that this shouldnt be like that as previous roms and oiginal firmware i have used did not do this! can you please try and fix it? This happens with NBA2k13 and Asphalt 7 aswel as NDS Emulators, Aso is it possible to port the android 4.1.1 launcher to this new rom? I do not ike the look of the new stock launcher compared to the previous launcher!
Thank you for feedback.
I did download Asphalt 7 from Play Store and played for a while. Nothing special noticed.
Stock-Launcher from 4.1.1 is not possible due to other API-level.

thank you for developing for chuwi v88, really appreciate your work.
i have some question regarding chuwi 4.2.2 oma v3.1:
why the clock font and taskbar icon so small, compared to TabletUI on 4.1.1,
anyway to change to phablet ui? changing lcddensity build.prop to 213 does not do the trick.
usb mass storage seem not working on me, windows only showing 2 empty drive, on tablet no notifitcation to enable massstorage, MTP and PTP mode works fine.

Kernel is back to April 24 version, probably due to usb mass storage problem?
(before it was 3.1 version with May 29 kernel)
does this version 3.0.1 also include power usage improvement introduced in previous 3.1 ?
Thanks

I played around with your rom more and I got 19k on Antutu I tried re running antutu after that but only hit between 17.3k and 18k so I am not sure what I did right! Also USB-Mounting does not work, sometimes after I reflash your rom about 5 times USB-Mounting works fine for a few hours and then it stops. Do you think we will be able to see a CM10.1 build for our device? or is that not possible? And any ETA on a new and improved Rom I really enjoy yours compared to every other custom rom available
Does battery usage data show up on you rom? I tried it with v3.1 and it doesn't show.
In the "light version with phabletui" it worked for me...
This rom works very good for me. However there is one problem i have with both this one and all others, mkv playback is not as silky smooth as it should be. It worked perfectly fine on my nexus 7 and my onda vi40 Single core but on the chuwi it just isn't perfectly smooth like it should be, anyone else experiencing this?
Wifi reception is quite weak
Hi OMA,
just install v3.0.1 light phablet version freshly. It seems little bit heavy than the stock 9 may.
And wifi signal reception is weaker that that stock. Now is around -70db than -58 db on the that version of stock. But everything is very good.
Good work OMA....thanks.

Good work OMA....thanks.

This rom works very good for me. However there is one problem i have with both this one and all others, mkv playback is not as silky smooth as it should be. It worked perfectly fine on my nexus 7 and my onda vi40 Single core but on the chuwi it just isn't perfectly smooth like it should be, anyone else experiencing this?

probably due to the kernel (april), you can try Oma suggestion, to flash the latest kernel on top 3.0.1, and post back, wifi should be better....

Not specific with this rom (also happened in stock), why the task switcher preview is 180 degree flipped?? anyone experience the same??

Yes, also screenshots are turned around.
Copying files in backround seems to slowdown the Tablet.
Can anyone confirm?
WIFI on v3.0.1 with different kernels (may)
Hi Oma and Arielp,
Just finishing change 2 different kernels on the light v3.0.1. i.e. bob #460 and bob #11.
But unfortunately, in term of WiFi reception, they are no different...still weaker than the stock Build Date 2013-05-09.
Please kindly notice that v3.0.1 with kernel bob #11 is quite laggy, but USB mass storage work well.
Cheers...

Issues and possible workarounds
* Accelerated video playback is supported by MX Player in HW+/HW mode and pretty much every file will play, try both playback method because it depends on the video codec; I noticed that HD videos plays better in HW+ mode while SD (XviD for example) play better in HW mode. For a better audio support (included DTS playback) have a look here.
* HDMI shows a picture but it doesn't fill the TV screen entirely.
* Probably other things...
Features
* USB GPS support (cp210x and pl2303)
* Xbox 360 gamepad support (xpad)
* PS3 USB gamepad support (hid-sony)
* Generic / chinese (Pantherlord / GreenAsia) gamepads support (hid-pl and hid-gaff)
* OpenVPN support (tun)
* Veno congestion control algorithm
* USB audio
* USB bluetooth (It supports only CSR devices, they can be identified typing "lsusb" from an app like "terminal emulator": the supported device will be present with an entry like "Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0a12:0001" ("0a12:0001" is the supported VIDID). Do not boot with the bluetooth plugged in; plug it once you booted to android.)
Instructions
* You need TWRP to be able to flash this rom. Read the linked thread for instructions.
* Put rom (cm-10.1-$DATE-UNOFFICIAL-spark.zip) and gapps (gapps-jb-$DATE-signed.zip) files inside internal or external sdcard.
* Turn on the tablet in recovery mode as explained in TWRP thread.
* If this is your first install select "Factory reset" from "Wipe" menu.
* Flash rom (cm-10.1-$DATE-UNOFFICIAL-spark.zip), gapps (gapps-jb-$DATE-signed.zip) and, if you're installing this rom on a device that is not the Spark, the required compatibility zip.
* Now select "Reboot".
* Enjoy CyanogenMod 10.1!

* If your devices doesn't have a volume rocker you can install one of these apps to control volume from the notifications: Volume in notification, TrayVolume
* WiFi now can stay enabled with display turned off. Note that if WiFi is enabled the tablet won't enter deep sleep so if you're more interestead in battery life instead of an always on WiFi change policy (on "Advanced" WiFi settings) from "Always" to "Never" and select your preferred WiFi timeout.
* Internal memory is mounted at /storage/sdcard0, external sdcard is mounted at /storage/sdcard1. If you wanna swap them (and make primary your real microsd) just edit "persist.sys.vold.switchexternal=0" to "persist.sys.vold.switchexternal=1" in "/system/build.prop" file

Hi!
U are awesome!
I have a Allview alldro 3 speed quad (http://allview.ro/shop/tablete-si-tv-box/alldro-3-speed-quad.html) after the last official update with 4.2.2, it is very similar with Onda V972, someones who have this tablet tried to install the official Onda firmware with success, someones say the camera work, someones say not working, but the wifi not work for all..
(I fount in this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=42058719&postcount=1108) hi has maybe samsung swl-n20 wireless... )
It is possible to port the CyanogenMod from Onda V972 to this tablet, with wifi driver modification to work with him? Can u help me? (if I can help U, i help with pleasure, i'm programmer, with knowledge in Android)
I have the official firmware file, i downloaded it because the tablet come from the factory with 4.1 It is a very successfull and best selled model, with good price, but with a very lazy lagging firmware.. i don't feel it quad core, my samsung galaxy s i9000 with cyanogenmod is more fast sometimes, without lags...
My tablet is with stock, and not rooted, and I have only the default loader, because i dont find a rooting, or a CWM install tutorial...
Thank U!
update:
Allview released a new 3.2.1.4 firmware (i think it is a clone of Onda 3.2.1 firmware) this is a very good, fast, lagfree update More fast than previous 3.0 version.
I successfully rooted with Root_Onda_4.2.2_V3.2_LZ.zip and i think, with the CWM or TWRP for Onda will works fine. (i think this is the clone for 972 V1)
Only the compatibility with Cyanogenmod port for Onda is the big question....
I found why this tablet has different wireless module, because the 972 had no bluetooth, and the Allview has working Bluetooth....

Hi mate here is a link to the firmware h**p://d-h.st/wXo[/url]
It a nova 10.1 a31 and its version 2 not version 1. Pretty scant any info online for it, any help getting something for this other than stock rom would be mightily appreciated.
Hey folks, does anyone try and compared this ROM with the one that comes with the tablet? Does it make any improvements in terms of performance? Since the original one is very very slow.

Ciao Christian troy
I'm surfing the internet in search of a good ROM for my A31 tablet: Hamlet Zelig Pad 410 more info here:http://www.hamletcom.com/products/xzpad410.aspx
It's running Android 4.1.1 right now
I think the work you've made for this SOC is amazing and I really want to try it out but I don't know what stock SDK 3.2 means and how to check it on my tablet...
thanks

Does wifi adhoc work?
Google voice control force close. Please fix. Thanks.
Maybe is the SDK problem but the camera is kind of weird.
Hi Christian or anyone could help with this momo20 compatibility.zip that you have attached in pg 1 of this section?
I just realized that actually this zip works except that it is unsigned.
I 'll need anyone who has signed it & put it in a link for download...
I tried signing it with the software but it keeps giving me issue on my windows...
Appreciate someone who could signed it or post the signed momo20 compatibility.zip...

Hello Christian! Is this your github account? I implemented your ubifs solution for mtk phones, and I want to add your xda account in credits instead of github, but I didn't found a link between those two. I don't have a phone with ubifs partitions, but there are many mtk models, and maybe some users will want to donate to you. To be honest I don't have great expectations, because I receive something like 1 euro on a month, and I made first touch recovery for MTK phones, which is used by a lot of people, but I understand that these people who buy MTK phones don't have much money, so I'm OK with it. Still, if you are the same person, tell me and I will add this user link for mtk ubifs users.
Best regards!
Later edit: Ok, sorry for this, I found your link to github under screenshots, and it is clear that you are the same person from github account I mentioned. So, thank you for your great work.
Hello,
I wanted to ask if it would be possible to port / use it on the melee a1000g tv box?

Any hope for CM11 update?
Onda tablets with A31 chipset has got the 4.4 update....

Hi,
Could you please post or send me the 3.2.1.4 firmware for Allview alldro 3 speed quad?
I looked everywhere on the internet for it.
Thank you very much!
Looks like I have this ROM on recently bought Archos 97 Platinum HD.
edit. sorry it is for CM 10.2
- important issue - battery sometimes gets to 0% and tablet turns off. Reboot needed then.
I have some issues with Google Play app, some timeouts, stucks.
I have unistalled updates, deleted cache/data Google Play, and GP services, and then readed account in case of RH1 server connection error.
And there were also some shortcomings in smoothness of the menu which I knew before from Cortex A9 Quad Core device.
Then just to finish work with costumizing whole tablet, after installing 20+ aps, I went to recovery (hold two buttons when device is off) and then adv wipe->clean dalvik and clean cache. Then it will optimize all aps again. I think it helps in such a situations.
System in overall works rather good, maybe not so responsively as with my previous experience with Cortex A9, slower, but allright. Just I see that how apps was launching faster before, it's worse CPU, but still not so bad. But as I mentioned, I liked that responsively/instant lanuching.
Then I wen to safe mode by long hold reboot. After getting back to normal mode, there is a smoothness of 2D UI again. It is probably connected with these steps described in TPWRC. Now tablet runs fine.
Antutu score is 15169, when stock rom was sth like 11k, but I'm not sure.
Camera, wifi works.
Stock browser doesn't work. Others works fine.
Now I'll trying to install CM11 from Christian Troy's (author) signature (below his posts) - for Allwinner A31.
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/978...inner-a31-by-christiantroy-update-2014-04-19/
Or maybe not, cos HDMI dooesn't work there, and this one neither:
http://www.slatedroid.com/topic/102...inner-a31-by-christiantroy-update-2014-04-19/
I'm curious whether Onda 972 4.4.2 ROM ( I heard it's V1 ROM ables to run without camera issues, V1 corresponds with this Archos specification) will run better than this CM10, and maybe without issues from his CM11.
edit. Looks like not:
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/?search=1&new=1&forum=onda-v972&value=hdmi&type=1&include=1
but for sound issues are some solutions
not for 1080p issues.
Altough I found this:
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum...tom-firmware-v3-2-1-2013-07-26/page-2/#p29985
but i don't know with exactly which problem with HDMI it corresponds to.
Maybe for absolutely no signal of adapter, not FHD support. i don't know
or this one somebody gave http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/onda-v812/hdmi-cable-issues-v813/
onda v972 v1 for Archos 97 Platinum HD Android Kitkat 4.4.2 ROM s
V1 it's the same device, we can flash every rom
http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum...-bean-root-custom-firmware-v3-3-1-2013-11-22/
I prefer this 4.4.2 - HDMI may work properly, newer SDK based.

http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/?search=1&new=1&forum=onda-v972&value=platinum&type=1&include=1
Remember, no mandatory format needed, or checking any options in Phoenix needed.
I didn't do anything with that 10.2 before just flashing in Phoenix. Though I had this custom recovery etc.
Turn off Wifi optimization in options to avoid lags of connection during downloading e.g. in Store.
Anyway, thank you very much for a nice work, Christian Troy!
What tablet have I got?
Hello everyone,
I wanted to install cyanogenmod. I figured out that I don't know which company it is and the model number is not known by google.
I hope someone can help me. Which ROM do I need?
Here are all informations from my tablet:
Model Number: T9701H_2M
Android Version: 4.1.1
Baseband Version: 1.31_20130204
Kernel Version: 3.3.0 [email protected]) ) #8 SMP PREEMPT Mon Feb 4 17:34:05 CST 2013
Build Number: T9701V1-D1-H2-H02.20130204

[Completed] Pocketbook Surfpad 3 10.1

Hi Everyone,
I recently acquired a new tablet - the Pocketbook Surfpad 3 10.1 inch model.
Specifications:
CPU: MediaTek MT8389 (quadcore 1.2ghz, cortex-a7)
RAM: 1GB
HDD: 16GB
GPU: PowerVR SGX 544MP
Screen: IPS, 10.1 inch, 5-point touchscreen, 1280x800 resolution
Android: 4.2.2
Kernel version: 3.5.6
I have searched a lot and have been unable to find any custom roms for it. I do have some experience with custom roms, having been updating my ZTE Blade phone for a number of years now.
What I want to somehow do (please tell me which are feasable):
- update libraries
- zipalign
- deodex
- remove unneeded bloatware
- add useful apks (cyanogenmod dsp manager, calculator and others?)
- update camera app
- add new i/o schedulers, cpu governor, KSM?
I am not crazy and I know AI have close to zero skills in doing any of these. I just want a workaround for these problems:
- bad volume (needs equalization like from the DSP Manager from CM for Speakers)
- remove unneeded bloatware without breaking anything
- optimize processing and battery
I have managed to root it, and may have found a working recovery (CMW 6.0.3.2) via some random russian forums.
What would you advise me?

Sorry ... can't find any custom ROM for your device either.
As there is no device specific forum on xda, you should post your request in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum ... and hope that someone having this device is willing to create (and share) a custom ROM.

A: The Engineering Menu, should be for Advanced users only, there's several things you can do.

b) The same options, as in JellyBean MTK Eng Menu.
Q: What are the Partitions Layouts usable on This ROM/KitKat ?
A: BOTH Partitions are usable (Stock and Extended), however on stock Partition Layout, the Internal SDCard (~2GB) can´t be used as is not visible due to the new KitKat fstab (partition table)

No problem haha
It's actually as smoother as JB4.1 or even slightly better.
--> KitKat uses less RAM (any 512MB RAM Phone can run it just fine), you'll see that KK gives you more free Ram, than any JB/ICS Rom.
Regards
EDIT: F.A.Q. and Kernel Features added on OP and following posts...
EDIT 2: New TWRP Recovery added (Its better than CWM ...)
Yes, KK's very stable on my devive(512mb ram). Compared to JB 4.1/4.2, it give more free ram. Don't lags, don't crashes. Amazing!!
Many thanks to superdragonpt you are great!!

Hi Yournametv
Yes KitKat runs very good on 512MB, i know, becouse i have another thread, Rom KitKat for micromax a110, and that phone only haves 512MB. and runs smooth
This is still "Beta" , becouse its the first release, but im my opinion, the rom, runs great.
I've been testing this rom for some days, and no big issues.
Please, feel free to share you feedback about the rom, im very Curious to know how's it runs on 512MB.
If you play any heavy game (RAM consuming) please share your feedback here.
Also try to play heavy games, that didn't worked on ICS/JB, KK is more light ...
EDIT: One of the bugs, seems to be fixed: Calls on 3G, i'll post later an patch for you all
Regards
thanks for bringing kitkat to this device
this rom is awesome for 512 ram device, after install full apps it left more 200mb free of ram, that was impossible in JB ,
I could moothly surfing heavy website in chrome, switch moothly to other mutitasking apps, I've never ever done it in lewa or JB. this rom make me love my phone more,
could you make a option to choose which sim to be used in 3nd message/dialer apps please? thanks in advance :victory:
BIg Games
Works fine with ''big games'' :good: . Tested:
- Boom Beach
- Candy Crush Soda Saga
- Clash of Clans
Thank you Superdragon!
EDIT: I'm in ZTE Grand XM (1GB RAM), 512 MB to play xD
calls under 3G Network
Ok , i heavly tested the new patch yesterday, and its now fixed.
Just bare with me, i'll upload the patch, as soon as i find some free time.
Im the time being, you can switch to 2G to make calls.
Regards
No sound during calls
Hi all,
I've just installed this ROM and (as for your previous ROM'S for v970) I want to congratulate (and thank) you on your work, the ROM's are pretty stable and smooth.
However, in this ROM I'm faced with an annoying problem in which when I make/receive calls the other person can hear me but I can't hear anything. I already tested the recording app so it is not certainly an hardware problem. I installed the ROM with TWRP and on the second boot installed superSU as instructed. I got no error messages whatsoever and all the other features seems to work as announced.
I have the v970 version with a single SIM (tmn version). Does anyone has/solved this problem?
Sorry, did not read all the posts previously, forcing the 2G solved it. My bad. Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Best regards,
André Farinha
