Spycam App?

Hi guys!
I´m new to this nice forum.
I´ve got just a few questions.
I would like to have/make a spycam softare to my samsung omnia that have a few functions:
I would like it to be configured to shoot photos in intervalls. I would like it to be configured between, let´s say, from 10 seconds to several minutes between shooting, and also how long the "shooting session" would be.
I would like something similary but for the videorecording mode. For example a video recording that lasts 2 min with a certain resolution.
both should be in stealth mode, that is, it won´t show up on the screen that pictures are taken/movie is recording. It´s just running silent in the background, with no trace at the menu at all, or showing pictures taken or video recording on the screen. Maybee a small icon or something but nothing else.
Not very important:
And I would like to be able to change settings for the "shooting session", forexample white balance, focus settings and so on, just like when I use the ordinary camera application in omnia.
Another question. Is it possible to take a picture without cameraapplication "loaded"? Can a make the camera run in some kind of silent mode (waiting to take a picture) and have a predefined button (like the camerabutton on the right side) taking pictures without showing it on the screen? just storing the taken picture?
Is there a software out there availible to mobile phones, windows mobile 6 or java that does any of this?
And is it possible to make a program like it in java or is there a better language to make it in? What is possible and what is not?
I´m studying computer/eletric engineering, but pretty new at it, so the only programming skills I´ve got at the moment is a small amount of java programming.
very grateful for answers.
(I hope I posted at the right section)

[Q] Android monitoring solution assistance

Hi all,
I would like some advice from the experts here for a project I want to do.
Background
I am planning on installing CCTV (maybe IP) camera around my house. It will be connected to a DVR which will be connected to my network.
This is were it gets tricky and i'm not sure how, or if, it can be done on android, or if i should look at other solutions.
Requirements
I want to mount an android tablet in the lounge/kitchen area on the wall. I want to have the android tablet show all my cameras on the screen (including 1 camera which will be on my porch like an intercom). I also wantt to have weather and calendar (actually i want the next 1 or 2 appointments so i can see what bills are coming up) displayed on one side.
So, in a nutshell, I want to display cameras, weather and upcoming calendar appointments. This will be connected via Wifi so I can browse the net and check email too.
Question
Firstly, is it possible to do this on Android?
If Yes, how can I do it?
If not, what other solution can I use (windows tablet and use widgets and windows?)
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you all in advance for your help and advice.
Hi,
I don't know if this application can do exactly what you want but it's possible:
IP Cam Viewer Pro:
View and Control IP camera, DVR, NVR, webcam. SSL, H.264, Audio, Widget, MPEG4.
if you want test it, there is a lite version for free

Parallel SBS (side by side) user interface for Android?

Hello everyone,
I'm thinking on a virtual/augmented reality project in which you wear a wielders mask (like this) and an android smartphone attached to its vizor. Because the phones screen is going to be so close to the eyes I need to know if it's possible to change the user interface to side by side parallel format stereoscopic view. That way it will be possible for the eyes to focus to the image onscreen with the aid of convex lenses. It doesn't have to be 3D, i just need a technique to turn what's shown on the screen to side by side parallel format.
Please reply, thanks...

Nice concept. It might turn useful. I guess you want something like this (it's for tablets only) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=nqr.splitviewtablet&hl=en
And, mixed with this application (or one of this type) - Transparent screen https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=botweb.transparent.screen&feature=search_result
And a transparent launcher from here https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=naveen.Transparent&feature=search_result
could work. It remains to put it all together.
Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm interested with the revival of VR headsets with Google Cardboard.
I would like a simple side by side repeated image in the Android OS launcher. Then I could view PDF documents, edit text documents, browse the web, watch any movie through Google Cardboard's stereoscopic headset. Honestly, I don't even care about the 3D aspect. Just to be able to use the phone as a monitor in conjunction with a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard would be awesome. Although, reading documents while laying down in bed probably wouldn't last long, I'd pass out quick enough!

Please post back if you ever find out! I would pay too! I have a bluetooth keyboard and a mouse ready to go! This would be a real update to the term "virtual desktop" or "virtual workspace."

An healthy discussion on using the front camera in more advanced ways...

Hell frnds,
I was just plain curious when a well known smartphone manufacturer started using the front camera for more than skype n photos. I wondered that my ICS tab has a front camera, a feature called face unlock which uses face features to unlock the device. So what if this camera and some code can be used to add features to the front camera n make it useful. I was also wondering can this data be utilized in other applications, this will open up then environment. Suppore a scroll, its done through touch n drag, our application can send this data to the foreground app i.e a document reader or a browser. The application can spoof it self as an input device in androids input menu. Thus it can do various things by sending appropriate data to apps. Im currently testing on windows using a webcam n some code to track eyeball n do actions through it. If im succesful enough Ill start coding an android app. But a healthy discussion and your views would be appreciated. So I hope ill see some replies. Tkcre.

syslog listener and viewer

Hey guys,
I am looking for a simple app to receive and view in realtime syslogs which
I forward from my pc to my android device.
I have searched and searched and searched and cam across a few servermonitoring tools
and nxlog. But those ar far to complicated or overdone for what i want.
Simply listen on udp port 1514 for example and watch the received messages directly on screen.
No need to write to disk, simply watch the de messages.
I couldnt find anything or I am searching with the wrong keywords.
Alternative would be following the logfiles which ar written on my pc, sort of baretail for android lol.
I hope anyone can put me in the right direction.
Thanks .
