Optimus 3D P920 broken, help please - LG Optimus 3D

I can not turn the phone without a charger, the charger when the phone switches itself on, or use the default ROM V21a GB with Titan kernel, module clocked at 1400,I think this is the best combinationwhich is proven by benchmark tests (ANTUTU 6822,Quadrant 3852)Please problem is very inconvenient...
sorry for bad english

About CPU

Hi. My question us what CPU speed can I use before the desire s takes damage? Thanks

Would not go over 1200mhz for general use but in the end it comes down to heat and chip quality. Some chips will run faster and produce less heat then others, you'll have to test yours! Don't over volt even if it is possible?
That's about all I can give you on the matter.

um... just a quick question... why do You need more power? I mean what for??
n64 and psx emulators - full speed, gameloft's dungeon hunter 2 and rainbow six - smooth as my wifes ass, all the flash movies on web or divx offline - no problem, general use - as good as gingerbread can deliver.
I was thinking about which dual core beast shall I buy and ended up with this pocketable and powerful beauty.
... back to the topic - I wouldn't overclock it over 1.5 ghz, even then only for demanding tasks. battery life would decrease as well and I wouldn't trade that for a bit more fps.
Okay. Thank you guys

Good response, I bought a Desire S recently too and feared the "single core" 1 GHz CPU wouldn't be much faster than my Legend clocked at 768 MHz, after all it is only 232 MHz difference. Couldn't have been more wrong. The phone is a beast.
1.2 ghz is a good speed if you wanna overclock (& also this speed is more than enough)
1.4-1.5 ghz is the limit, anything more than that is very unstable and can cause damage to your cpu
Hey guys. I have a Desire HD. Although they're different phones, i'm sure the internals are almost exactly the same, bar few differences. As such, the cpu should also be the same. I tried out different cpu speeds. I kept my phone at 1.72ghz for a couple of weeks. The phone got pretty hot when using Wifi and such, but didn't get too hot. I'd say the safe point is 1.5ghz but at the stock voltage. Works for me, should work for you guys too I can get 1.7ghz at 1325mv, which is good enough for me I didn't get random crashes etc. My persona highest on this phone was around 2.1 ghz, which was insanely high, the phone was super fast, but got hot blazing hot and the phone started flashing orange led lights and then shut down for like 10 minutes straight. I thought it was gone but...nope, was lucky thank god LOL
Always be careful. If you have insurance, then go ahead and by all means clock the hell out of it if you don't mind a decrease in battery life. But if you have no insurance, and bought it sim-free...i'd suggest 1.3ghz...better be safe than sorry, wouldn't you agree?

Haha, bet that was a ball-shrinking moment. Made me laugh reading it.
But seriously, considering the potential damage & the native performance of the DS you wouldn't want to go crazy really.

Hi!
I succesfully overclocked my DS to 1,5GHz(first to 1,3GHz, than to 1,4GHz), and it's fully stable with stock voltages. I use virtuous unity 1.29.0, and tweaked the built in OC daemon. Tested with stability test v1.5, and no problems after 30 minutes. Temperature is around 40 C(plugged in, charging, and running stability test).
What do you think, can I use it for 24/7? The temperatures are not high, and the phone is rock stable, so is it safe?
Thanks for answer.

why do you need to run it on 1.5ghz? it is very fast at 1.2ghz
& also 1.5ghz will consume more battery & if you put some load on the cpu like a little gaming or a lot of browsing it can get heated up
overclocking more than necessary isnt good as there can be hidden damage to the chip(even if the processor doesn't get heated up)
read post #3 here
so always go easy on the overclocking

Thanks for the answer! I overclocked it to 1,5GHz becouse I like it if everything is fast as lightning.
I know it can consume more battery, but it's not a problem for me.
I've read that post, it's useful thanks, but i think if everything is on stock voltage it cant hurt the cpu. I overclock my desktop rig also since ~15 years, and never had problems with that. I know that it's not the same, but I hope there will be no problems with that.

[Q] phone overheating advice

my phone is rooted but its not overclocked but it still heats up during heavy use. even when i just play a game it starts to heat up right away. any advice
Common thing my friend
Ok so your rooted but the real question is are you running a custom kernel and if you are most custom kernel's are overclocked by defult Im running a custom kernel and I hover around 1562 awake and with screen off 192 and i play he game's like asphalt 6 for a hour or so and my screen doesn't heat up however it did before I was rooted and running a custom ROM and kernel it could be your kernel
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Some custom kernel heats phone real fast, and some doesn't. Flash Rom usually will change Kernel, too.
- Don't use it heavy.
Compare the sensation to a laptop..
When u use your laptop alot it heats up but then the fan comes in..
Since the sensation is as a notebook in CPU ( dualcore 1.2) like a Packard bell dot-s (old model 1.3 ghz dualcore) but without any cooling the CPU and when overclocked gpu getting hot.
My advice don't use it to much although most chipsets can handle 90 degrees before it auto shuts off (on a laptop) and on the phone I dunno but I guess it can handle 50-60 degrees

Strange..help me out..!

me used samsung charger for 2days...it was 1.5 hrs to fully charge previously..now not taking more than 5hours..and phone is extremely(so so high temperature on back) hot after 5mts of charging..can anyone help out of this..me was on hyperion rom and now installed ics 3d theme recently..?
check voltage ratings..
Read the real3d ics thread and you ll see why that happens.
You probably havent changed your boot sounds and your cpu works at 50% all the time

try to do a factory reset and check. random issues like this do happen. when it does, just switch off and switch back on. however, if it happens too often, then u need to check the overclock, undervolt, kernel and rom combinations.
please click on thanks if you think I helped.

i have the same problem here
i tried to change the kernel but no luck
i even changed the whole rom but still the problem
help me plz
we neeeeed helppppppp come on guys did ur optimus become hot ? how much it takes optimus to drain battery in hd games ?
Is a problem of all Lg Optimus 3D...i resolved partially the issue with ICS and custom kernels...
the problem with ported ics rom for Optimus 3D
how did you solve it?
I'm on Acura v3.1 rom now, and with acura's v4 advanced kernel, i have no excessive temperature or excessive drain battery issues.
With moderate use battery lasts sometimes 2 days, with more intensive use it lasts at least 1 day.
I've been with Bluekernel too, and had no problems whatsoever.
With Acura's kernel my CPU runs at 56-1008 MHz, with Bluekernel I use 196-1008 MHz.
Aren't you guys using excessive overclock?

well you can try another kernel...for me the best with battery is iodak's kernel...there are a lot of custom kernel for ICS(Pesach, samno, iBluemind, Acura), with LG kernel for me there wasn't overheat problem...but stock kernel sucks with memory management..
ma phone dnt go hot all time but when i plug it to ma pc it heat up and aftr playn hard games is that normal it heat up when u flash it in download mode or plug it in usb ?

Vivax TPC-7100

Hello,
wanted to ask a few questions for tablets....I have experiance in custom roms for andorid mobile phones but not for tablets.
Right now I have LG optimus 4X HD with CM 10.2 installed and it is very easy to find roms and everything else for the most
of the phones but as I can see not for the tablets....
I wanted to change to rom on my tablet but it is a cheap tablet that even don't have te spec on the manufacturers site or on the Vivax site there is not my model or even program to update your Vivax tablet. As I can see the Vivax is not that popular and dont have support as the others.
As I can see when i search the web is that the chip and cpu is what is important...so this is an A13 Cortex A8 cpu TI OMAP 850 and 7inch tablet...and i want to change the rom couse the camera on this one is terrible...and I need cam for skype..
So my question on the end would be..where can I find some roms...and how to root it?
But what roms can i flash?? And can it be rooted?
It already has an recovery but the root checker says it is not rooted...well any help wich rooting and begining to flach an 7 inch tablet would be fine..
Thanks
batery life with 4000mAh
hello again,
as I can see you guys also don't know it for this device
Now I would have an aditional question couse I want to change the battery to 4000mAh OR O 4500mAh
So what are your battey life experiance with such bateries and an 7inch display???
Thanks guys for the help and answer
Antutu battery saver
Mee again and again only me writing lol
Just wanted to share the experiance with the antutu battery saver
First off all to say works 100%
Second, you must google it and install the apk manualy couse it's not anymore
To find on playstore
Thired and the best off all you dont need an new stronger battery
Couse it gives 100% battery boost
My 7inch tablet has poor battery 2400mAh what is for such screen insuficient
The screen on time WAS 1hour and 30min but now its double OR NOW ITS more than 3HOURS SCREEN ON TIME
THATS WHY I RECOMEND FOR EVERYONE
BEFOR BUYING NEW BATTERY
