It's the same phone. HTC One XL (HOXL) is the same phone in North America. But I've noted that the ROM works and doesn't work on different models for whatever reason.

Some say twrp 2.2 is buggy with xi40. I use it with no problems. Reflash twrp using goomanager its in the playstore.
Should fix it up

I have had several problems installing Nocturnal roms. The only one that didn't give me a hard time was the latest version ( special edition). Never had an issue with any other roms though.

i just finished trying to reflash TWRP but no Success still will listen for suggestions though

If you're trying to download directly to the phone, that could be the issue. We have also had some server issues, but those should be corrected.
My HOX has been Nocturnal'd. Has yours? Why not?

CM7 Nightly 03.03.2011- Telus Sound Working

I have just flashed the newest nightly build for the Desire HD (2011-03-03). The sound is WORKING on my Telus HTC Desire HD.
I am not sure if this is news, but i thought it worth a mention, as the RC still did not support us Telus users.
All credit to the CM guys, I did nothing.

I'm not sure if you've noticed...
The sound works, but it sounds like hell... I still need to use the soundfix from XDA.
The soundfix will be incorporated into #13 by the looks of it...
I agree it sounds "tinny". I just got excited to hear anything at all. LOL.

New Recovery! ClockworkMod 3.0.2.4

I updated my rom manager today and in the recent changes they released a new update for mytouch 4g users. Now we have an official recovery to charge our phones while in recovery! Awesome!!!

- Does this new version support both Froyo and Gingerbread like 3.0.0.6? That's important info...I can't believe Koush hasn't mentioned that.
- Can this version be downloaded as a file? I'd much rather flash it through fastboot.
EDIT: Here's the link if anyone wants it, http://mirrorbrain.cyanogenmod.com/cm/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-glacier.img

Yep, that's fixed. We still don't know what ROMs it supports though, which obviously is key information. I can't believe this was released through ROM Manager without stating that.
Im going to try the new recovery in a little bit. Im still on 3.0.0.5 for the moment because im planning on switching back and forth between my gingerbread roms and my froyo builds.

3.0.0.5 can't do that. It's 3.0.0.6 that can handle both.
my personal guess is its just the 3.0.0.6 with the "charging while off" fix,
though i am not flashing until i find out whats up...

Need help, phone bricked, can't get into recovery

Here is the chain of events:
I was running CleanROM 4.1. I did a full wipe, flashed a different ROM (KingCobra1X 1.2). Didn't like it, decided to flash back. When I tried installing CleanROM, the Aroma installer didn't actually do anything. It told me the ROM was installed but wasn't. I rebooted, it was still Xi40. Rebooted back into recovery, tried flashing again, same result. Could not mount SD card. Tried rebooting AGAIN, and that is when it went completely to hell. If I try to go into recovery through the bootloader menu, I get the HTC screen.
Everything I have tried has made things worse, does anyone have any idea how to help me fix this?

Let me guess, you're using CWM recovery?

[ATTENTION] DON'T INSTALL CMW Recovery INSTEAD USE TWRP

Don't install CMW Recovery it is not recommended for AT&T, Rogers HTC One X
"CWM does not officially support our device, and its just a port. Due to this, CWM has some serious and known problems. As already mentioned, USB mount doesn't work. Also, it has been known in some cases to cause some major issues with dialer and other phone functionality after flashing a ROM. Problems that persist even if you try flashing another ROM or restoring a backup. These problems are difficult (although not impossible) to fix, and a big headache.
TWRP officially supports our device, gets regular updates. Its fully working, and its recommended by almost all (if not all) our developers." (Thanks to redpoint73)

Simply no reason to use CWM. People only use it, because they have used it on other devices.
Just stay away from CWM. Use TWRP.

It will work most of the time. But when it doesn't, boy you are in for some "fun" times.
Just switch to TWRP. Its a great recovery, don't be averse to it, just because its different than what you used before. In this case, the more widely known choice (CWM) is not the best one, and can give you serious problems.
Yeah.... I didn't know CWM wouldn't work on my HTC One X. I installed TWRP and everything worked fine. Since I had CWM installed, it won't affect my phone will it since I installed TWRP over it?

Its not that CWM doesn't work, per se. CWM works most of the time . . . except when it doesn't (and causes big problems).
CWM is not going to affect your phone in any way, now that you've installed TWRP. Recovery was overwritten by TWRP.

For a long time, we had only an unofficial port of CWM that was having some issues. Now, it's just a matter of taste.
Oops, my bad, hadn't been keeping up with recovery development and didn't realize CWM was official. Thanks guys.
It was posted about a month ago. People are just so used to twrp at this point that it hasn't gotten all that much attention.
we should probably remove all the download links and close the old cwm threads so when we recommend cwm people wont install the old one.

I just removed the old links for my Index thread, for what its worth. Also added a warning, not to use old CWM builds.
I see that CWM finally went official 5 days ago (I missed that somehow). Looks like they fixed USB mount, also. So I now see no reason why not to use CWM.
Really, its the users choice. TWRP 2.4.3 had some issues, but it looks like those were fixed, and in general its been a very stable and reliable recovery. Many of us know CWM as a reliable recovery as well, on other devices. So now that its official, I expect the same on the One X.
