Don't install CMW Recovery it is not recommended for AT&T, Rogers HTC One X
"CWM does not officially support our device, and its just a port. Due to this, CWM has some serious and known problems. As already mentioned, USB mount doesn't work. Also, it has been known in some cases to cause some major issues with dialer and other phone functionality after flashing a ROM. Problems that persist even if you try flashing another ROM or restoring a backup. These problems are difficult (although not impossible) to fix, and a big headache.
TWRP officially supports our device, gets regular updates. Its fully working, and its recommended by almost all (if not all) our developers." (Thanks to redpoint73)

Simply no reason to use CWM. People only use it, because they have used it on other devices.
Just stay away from CWM. Use TWRP.

It will work most of the time. But when it doesn't, boy you are in for some "fun" times.
Just switch to TWRP. Its a great recovery, don't be averse to it, just because its different than what you used before. In this case, the more widely known choice (CWM) is not the best one, and can give you serious problems.
Yeah.... I didn't know CWM wouldn't work on my HTC One X. I installed TWRP and everything worked fine. Since I had CWM installed, it won't affect my phone will it since I installed TWRP over it?

Its not that CWM doesn't work, per se. CWM works most of the time . . . except when it doesn't (and causes big problems).
CWM is not going to affect your phone in any way, now that you've installed TWRP. Recovery was overwritten by TWRP.

When you start calling people names, you are the one that appears immature and childish, no matter how correct you may be.
The problem is, though, you are not correct. Maybe it only appears as a "simple" mistake to you, probably because you don't care or haven't spent enough time in the forums, but for people who frequent XDA then it has become a cumulative nuisance.
Also, when the majority of users responding in the thread you started is either questioning the logic of your statement or placement of the thread then maybe you need to reflect on what you were trying to accomplish and maybe take into consideration how you can achieve better results in the future. Long story short, try to learn from your mistakes.
Okay, so, International One x won't be compatible because of hardware differences, but what about the One S roms? I just tried flashing the CM9 port for the S, and it flashed successfully but upon reboot the screen was just filled with green graphical glitches. Rebooting back into recovery and attempting to restore my backup of the stock system didn't work at all, so RUU for me... but, why wouldn't a One S ROM work? It has 99% of the same hardware... besides the qHD screen. I remember being able to flash a Droid 3 ROM to my bootloader-locked Atrix 2 and it booting up just fine. What's different here?

If you're trying to download directly to the phone, that could be the issue. We have also had some server issues, but those should be corrected.
My HOX has been Nocturnal'd. Has yours? Why not?
Well I was using Clockwork Mod. Then I foolishly Installed Clean Rom 4.5 final while using clockwork mod..got a soft brick -:splash screen would not boot...no access to the recovery...could not flash a recovery...but access to boot-loader :-...
Got the bricked sorted out and decided to move to TWRP..That didn't go well at all
Issues found after flash
1: Google contacts would not sync at all...no matter Rom I used
2: My dialer crashed...no matter Rom I used
Moved back to clockwork and all issues was solved
This Is only my observation and It may be different to others

Did it more than once and it didn't happen with cmw and yes a recovery can cause a rom issue
way back in the htc desire days certain rims could not be flash using certain recoveries because it caused issues...some users found that with a certain recovery the rom was more stable than the other
Just beware flashing something with an aroma installer with cwm. Bad mojo.

yes it happened to me too google contacts sync and dialer crash and yes i found that twrp is the culprit of not clearing the data correctly.onle fix i found is switching recovery to cwm, clear the data, switch back to twrp and install a new rom and worked for me.
I've been using TWRP since the beginning on multiple One X's and never have had a problem.

As I said the soft brick was because I used the wrong recovery..that wasn't the issue..I already sorted that out..
my phone was stock..I rooted then flash TWRP then started flashing roms and I noticed the issue after that..I wasn't asking for help on this thread
all I was doing was letting people know what was happening to me while i was using that recovery..If xda belongs to the guys that never made a mistake while using a phone and don't want no one else to post then i wont..but all I was simply doing was letting people know what brought me to that point

Some people were made perfect and never made a mistake..they can do any and or everything so since there is nothing else to do with the life that they have they will sit and read a post and would be quick to make a judgment or start calling names..I admitted I made a mistake and I fixed it..then I found an issue while using TWRP only to point it out...The person that made the recovery may see an issue in the recovery that could be affecting certain phones and fix it..or someone else might had a similar issue and just give some input about it..
most of us are here because we like tweaking what we have and in doing so some make mistakes and others learn from it..its what XDA is about
Google contacts and dialer being messed up are known issues with CWM. They persist even after flashing other ROMs. It was likely a residual issue from CWM, not TWRP.

For a long time, we had only an unofficial port of CWM that was having some issues. Now, it's just a matter of taste.
Oops, my bad, hadn't been keeping up with recovery development and didn't realize CWM was official. Thanks guys.

we should probably remove all the download links and close the old cwm threads so when we recommend cwm people wont install the old one.

I just removed the old links for my Index thread, for what its worth. Also added a warning, not to use old CWM builds.
I see that CWM finally went official 5 days ago (I missed that somehow). Looks like they fixed USB mount, also. So I now see no reason why not to use CWM.
Really, its the users choice. TWRP 2.4.3 had some issues, but it looks like those were fixed, and in general its been a very stable and reliable recovery. Many of us know CWM as a reliable recovery as well, on other devices. So now that its official, I expect the same on the One X.
