Lost 4G with Phone Info - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

OK so I was playing with Phone Info app and disabled 4G by changing radio to CDMA auto (PRL). Right no I can not go back to LTE/CDMA/EvDO. Whenever I chose that option it goes back to previous setting. Rebooting phone or turning radio off/on didn't help. I'm on NoSympathy's stock rooted RC1 with I535VRLG1 modem and JellyBomb Domination theme. Before I wipe and reflash everything is there anything else I could try to get my LTE back?

You can possibly try the repovision dialer code...its in the how to back up imei thread(dev section)

Thanks for the tip but *2767*3855# is factory reset I did that and now I have my LTE back but also clean phone without status bar (because of installed theme). I preferred to avoid that but hey at least I got my 4G back I think I got some nandroid backup from couple of days back so I will be good.

Got my sister a used GS3 and can't connect to LTE or 3G

Hey XDA,
Got my sister a used GS3 for Christmas. Anyways, long story short she activated it while I was at work and she's been on WiFi ever since. Its been activated for about 3 days now and she just now told me it doesn't have mobile data right now. Its already rooted and running JellyBeans Build 6. I never thought to even check mobile data because we connected it to WiFi right away. Baseband I535VRLF2.
ODIN back to stock? Flash new modem? Is this a bad case of me being an idiot and not backing up the imei when I should have been?
Thanks for the help.
EDIT: She still has her IMEI but IICID and IP address are also unavailable. She is connected to Verizon's voice network but disconnected from data.

On first glance it looks pretty bad. I'm not sure why you're missing phone number, min, PRL, etc. but still have IMEI and ERI. My first inclination is to tell you to Odin either stock VRALF2, VRALG1, or Root66 (ICS) then input the dialer code. I'm not sure about what other step to pursue.

This one for sim card reprovision:
*2767*3855#
It erases your internal storage so backup all this data. Only works on the VRALF2 and VRALG1 based software versions. Its disabled on JB.
Again, I'm not certain about what would be next if this does not work. I haven't seen people with all those listed items in Settings/About Phone listed as unknown.

Randomly thought to reboot the phone before I had to ODIN back and when I rebooted this time LTE loaded right up. Rather strange it was so messed up and a simple reboot was all it needed. Thank you gentlemen it seemed that resolved the issue.
How weird is it that all those settings could be all jacked like that and randomly fix themselves? Have you seen anything like this before?
Thanks again for your help guys. She's a happy camper now.

Well if that worked, you should complete backup methods A and B in the Comprehensive IMEI Backup thread. If everything is working fine, hopefully you tested calls/texts/LTE just now, do this as a precaution.
Alls well that ends well.

[Q] CM 10.2 SMS Picture Problem

Hey all, last night I flashed the CM 10.2, everything went well. Only thing is when i try to send a picture through sms, the com process stops. Tried a few apps, one that came with CM, handcent, gosms, etc all the same thing.
Ive enabled root (click on build number 7 times), enabled usb debugging. No difference. Anyone able to point me to something else I can try?
I think I had the same problem. I had to enable data in 10.2 for some reason for mms to work. With 10.1, I know the data turned on automatically when you sent mms messages.

Oh, well my data is on, been browsing all day, but the sms apn info may be wrong. Good idea! Im on rogers network in Canada, Ill see if I can dig up the info. Dont know if thats the reason its crashing but Ill verify, thanks!
Edit: Nope, info was all correct, still getting the process com.android.mms has stopped
Oh, it's not the same issue I was having. I would try using go SMS again and entering the apn info manually within the app (mmsc, proxy, port)

Wifi not working in Custom Rom

Hello,
After managing to root my phone I tried eagleblood. It was good until I realised that the Wifi is not working. It detects networks but immediately says 'Out of Range' so I am unable to connect to any network.
I also tried HellFire's custom rom and here I wasn't even able to scan for networks.
Your help is needed.
Thank You.
I forgot to mention that my wifi works is cyanogen 7 (Gingerbread based).
Hmm...never had this issue with an ICS rom. What baseband are you on? Also....anytime I flash a ROM and have issues the first thing I do is use the app GetRil to make sure ril and baseband are matching. I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with your issue but its something give a shot.

I have returned back to my backed up stock rom. One cannot live these days without Wifi !!
With eagleblood as I mentioned I can see networks but cannot connect because it immediately appears 'Out of Range'.
With hellfire, I cannot see anything. Hellfire was running quite smoothly !!
With Cyanogenmod, it is working just as it did with the stock rom. However the phone always freezes when I tried to drag the top right corner. I have no idea why !
Here is a snapshot of the phone :

I've heard that 2.3.3 baseband had issues with wi-fi. You could try upgrading your baseband to 2.3.4 if you would like.

I have also tested all non gingerbread roms and all have the same wifi issue and also I cannot use mobile data or make a call in all except eagle blood.
What has 2.3.3 has to do with the Wifi in EagleBlood 4.0.4 ?
Can I upgrade my baseband from stock gingerbread ?
Yes but I'm not positive on how to actually do it. I believe you need to use the lg updater tool

I have upgraded to 2.3.4 - As I was expecting . . . there is no change !!!
Still no wifi or mobile data !!!
I think I'm tired testing roms. In all of them Mobile data doesn't work. Yes I've tried all settings and used GetRil.
HellFire was really smooth but one cannot live without internet these days.
Until then.
Have you tried nvflash tools like cleanup batch or ROM for recovery?

Yes I noticed that. It was the third option. It is not just eagles blood. All other roms have their problems. In most of the ICS based roms I get no Mobile data and no Wifi.
In cyanogenmod 7 I don't get mobile data.
With Bionix Reloader (from stock) everything works but you don't get much of the tweak settings available.
Its the way the cookie crumbles.
I would try Twitch's suggestion and give cleanup batch a try.
