Hello,
After managing to root my phone I tried eagleblood. It was good until I realised that the Wifi is not working. It detects networks but immediately says 'Out of Range' so I am unable to connect to any network.
I also tried HellFire's custom rom and here I wasn't even able to scan for networks.
Your help is needed.
Thank You.
I forgot to mention that my wifi works is cyanogen 7 (Gingerbread based).
Hmm...never had this issue with an ICS rom. What baseband are you on? Also....anytime I flash a ROM and have issues the first thing I do is use the app GetRil to make sure ril and baseband are matching. I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with your issue but its something give a shot.

I have returned back to my backed up stock rom. One cannot live these days without Wifi !!
With eagleblood as I mentioned I can see networks but cannot connect because it immediately appears 'Out of Range'.
With hellfire, I cannot see anything. Hellfire was running quite smoothly !!
With Cyanogenmod, it is working just as it did with the stock rom. However the phone always freezes when I tried to drag the top right corner. I have no idea why !
Here is a snapshot of the phone :

Is there something I can do ???
I've heard that 2.3.3 baseband had issues with wi-fi. You could try upgrading your baseband to 2.3.4 if you would like.

I have also tested all non gingerbread roms and all have the same wifi issue and also I cannot use mobile data or make a call in all except eagle blood.
What has 2.3.3 has to do with the Wifi in EagleBlood 4.0.4 ?
Can I upgrade my baseband from stock gingerbread ?
Yes but I'm not positive on how to actually do it. I believe you need to use the lg updater tool

I have upgraded to 2.3.4 - As I was expecting . . . there is no change !!!
Still no wifi or mobile data !!!
I think I'm tired testing roms. In all of them Mobile data doesn't work. Yes I've tried all settings and used GetRil.
HellFire was really smooth but one cannot live without internet these days.
Until then.
Have you tried nvflash tools like cleanup batch or ROM for recovery?

Yes I noticed that. It was the third option. It is not just eagles blood. All other roms have their problems. In most of the ICS based roms I get no Mobile data and no Wifi.
In cyanogenmod 7 I don't get mobile data.
With Bionix Reloader (from stock) everything works but you don't get much of the tweak settings available.
Its the way the cookie crumbles.
I would try Twitch's suggestion and give cleanup batch a try.

I checked the LG Mobile S/W updater today, and it showed that its latest S/W was now L21e.
Did a nandroid and restored stock ROM. Connected it and if offered the upgrade. It warned that it will erase all user data.
I started the process, and after several minutes, Windows notified me that LG updater program had stopped working (don't know if this was a *%&*% Windows issue or LG).
I am starting over again....

Any ideas on where to get the LG Mobile Support Tool. The link to it on LG.com appears to be overloaded or closed.

Well I guess it may be different on MIUI lol.
It looks like a bunch of jargon to me:
"M600A-SCAUTNZ-2.0.9720T 1 {JUN 05 2011 04:00:00} MP:TRULGE_08.09.02R_MDM"
going by that date(june 5th) looks like you got that older baseband. New baseband should be july something if im not mistaken.

Dang is there a way to upgrade the baseband without loosing my ROM setup?
If I made a nand backup of my current rom, then installed stock froyo and upgraded through LG to gb, then restored my nand backup?
G2x only has 2 basebands, April 27 and July 15 are the days I believe. Is this a tmous g2x? If so something is wrong here..

:S Yes it's t-mobile g2x (basically same phone) I'm just on wind in Canada.
Am I using a completely wrong baseband here? lol maybe that's why my battery life is to the crapper.
Holy crap! I definitely accidently flashed the O2X firmware the first time I tried modding my phone... Did I end up with the O2X baseband??
Edit:: Reversing to stock froyo and upgrading to 2.3.3 GB did indeed work!! I'm now on the jul 15 baseband!
It diffidently wasn't an o2x baseband, or it would say unknown, and would be unrecoverable. However it could have been the wind baseband, Idk if the dates are different for them. But happy it upgraded too the latest for you.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
The Froyo TMO baseband had a March date. That's the Froyo Wind Canada baseband. It would work perfectly on Wind or TMO since the hardware is identical. So basically for the P999 we have three viable basebands. Now we just need to find a way to flash them at will like they can on the P990.

I see people over in the dev section in thread "[RADIO] HTC Glacier Radios" talking about flashing a leaked build with updated radio driver and expecting an official release to follow.
Is there any detailed release notes out there explaining this update? Is it just a better radio driver? anything else?

My MT4G was handed down to a friend and has been getting a system update notification beginning yesterday. I have told her not to let it go through for now, and to write down what the update notification says - if anything.
I had CM& on it, but I reverted back to stock based froyo ROM before I gave it to her - wanted everything working. It also had what was the latest radio (as of a few months back), and faux stock based kernel. and of course CWM.
With all the above, I am surprised it is trying to update - always though you had to revert to all stock (including Recovery). I do not see any benefit in letting it go through, plus from the above post, would also be afraid it might unroot the device, so would like to know that also.

how have you rooted it man?!?!... please share the link to clear root instructions for the latest updated stock ROM if you can.... thanks!
I also received system update to 2.3.4 and downloaded it yesterday. As much as I wanna do what some may have already done (reverting back to froyo > temp/perm root > restore back to gingerbread) that's just seems alot of work. Anybody know whats the status on alternative (easy temp/perm root) for gingerbread 2.3.4? I sure do like to know if it's already in development.

Are you sure you flashed the correct ROM for your phone?
Make sure your flashing a ROM made for "Crespo" -this is the code name for your device.
I have the same phone on Mobilicity and there's lots of roms that work well. There's no 'best' ROM for everyone, they all have their pluses and minuses.
I'd start off with something tried and true with lots of support behind it like CyanogenMod 9 and see how that works out.

Right now I'm running AOKP nightly build 40. I've also run CM9 nightlys, CyberGRmod, Black Ice Kangorade and others I've probably forgotten.
The carrier makes no difference in what roms you can run, just make sure it's for a crespo device.

Just flashed back to stock from CM9 last night, because I got tired of bugs and reboots. Right now my sgs4g is on stock froyo and rooted. I want a reliable rom. What has been the best kernel/rom combo for you?
When I used CM9 I didn't get bugs nor reboots maybe a bad download?
Froyo is from the dark ages, I suggest you bump up to Gingerbread
My Signature has everything I run and I go days without a reboot and a day without a recharge. Everyones mileage will vary though.

With the phone this old, the only way to make new again is to use ICS roms and above. Time and time again, I tried to go back to GB bare bone, I always ended back to ICS roms. I just missed out the modern UI too much to be using GB.
So here is my stable and good battery life combo: Ultragen and hefe kod. Just remember to fix permission after flashing hefe kod kernel or u might get a once in a while wake reboot when leaving the phone unattended. I don't know y, just an observation.
