I just got the Droid 2 Global and so far I've rooted it with z4root and I go to back it up with Droid 2 Bootstrapper and all go's well with the bootstrap recovery. I click it and it says "Success". But I go and click on Reboot Recovery and it doesn't do anything. Doesn't reboot at all and doesn't even seem like its trying to load anything. I can just sit there and press reboot recovery again and again and nothing happens.
Does anybody have an idea about what's going on or how I can fix it?
I believe you still have to flash clockwork recovery. Bootstrapper just bypasses the locked boot loader? I think... download clock work recovery and flash. Cheers.

It should reboot into recovery. No need to flash anything else. I would make sure you have root for sure or see if you can get a different version of bootstrap.

I tried to flash CM7 onto my G2X and it is stuck on the boot with the LG logo and the blue lines in the background. I need to get past it. Also it wont boot into recovery mode. Thanks in advance for all and any help
Follow the instructions on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1248644
Once you have gb 2.3.3 installed try to boot into recovery, if it doesn't work, flash recovery again (using nvflash of course, not through rom manager). Once you get CWM working, flash CM7 again.
Hello I have an HTC One S, and I have been trying to put my stock recovery back up but somehow messed up my recovery all together, I have tried flashing my stock recovery image along with twrp, and when I select Recovery from Hboot, it just restarts into Hboot,
I'm stuck on this one
EDIT: I figured it out, helps if I change the recovery before I relock the bootloader

Hi, I've upgraded my XT925 with the KK OTA, but now Im having some problems while Im trying to install a custom recovery. The problem is that the phone's power button broke like a month ago (in the flex/contacts), and this gives me major problems to even entering in the stock recovery (gets stuck in the Andy with the red exclamation mark).
To this moment I use adb to enter in recovery and fastboot mode, but AFAIK this is useless as I cannot enter in the recovery right after installing a custom recovery to complete the update process.
So, anyone knows of an alternative method to install a custom recovery or root?
Will the phone be stuck in stock forever?
yeah that is a bicht of a problem. Here is one way you can do it.
fLASH your stock rom with RSD lite
flash cmw recovery 6.0.49
flash your kk upgrade
use mtk tool to reboot into recovery
