Hi Friends,
I was upgrading Samsung Vibrant (T-mobile) to ICS and got in to this stuck screen (image attached).
The phone stays in this mode. Below mentioned are chronological events:
1) I had the vibrant running Froyo (2.2).
2) I downgraded to Eclair (2.1) using Odin3-v1.85.
3) Then I rooted the phone using one click root for vibrant using update.zip file.
4) Downloaded rom manger to install clockworkmod recovery
5) Then used clockworkmod recovery to install ICS_euphoria_RC2 file (after wiping data/reset etc.)
6) The phone stayed in updating system mode for more than 20 minutes. So, I disconnected the battery and tried to re do ICS installation.
7) During one of the attempts the windows PC did not recognize the phone and then the phone stayed in the mode shown in the picture.
NOW:
I can get into recovery mode but cannot reboot the phone.
I can enter download mode but cannot connect to PC to connect to odin

Hi Guys,
Ive managed to root my phone, install all the necessary ROM files on my internal SD card.
Unfortunately, i have now bricked my fone and i it either stays on the black screen with the initial "Samsung Galaxy S 19000" in white writing....OR...if i press the 3-button combo it takes me to "Downloading mode"
I followed a link which said to..
Step 4.Put your phone into download mode again and flash the CyanogenMod 7 initial kernel (cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar file from initial CM7 package) to it as PDA without auto-reboot using Odin.
Step 5.Reboot your phone into recovery using three button combination again.
Once i tried to reboot into recovery mode...it wouldnt allow me...it only took me to downloading mode. I think its because i didnt install ClockworkMod Recovery.
I need help with the following possible solutions:
Solution A: Can i flash any ROM ONLY using Odin? At least i can get into the phone and install ClockworkMod Recovery manally.
Solution B: Is there any other way to get into Recovery Mode..so i can just wipe/reset to factory mode?
Solution C: Any other ideas??
Thanks...any help would be appreciated!
I was trying to root an infuse 4g.
So I followed the you tube video to install the modded 3e recovery and CMW.
Once I was in 3e and did reinstall packages, it loaded into CWM.
I then flashed the CWM zip from the following thread. 100% working ClockworkMod Recovery for Infuse 4G [GTG465x]
Then I went to flash CM7. I went to reboot the phone and constantly just boots into CWM and never boots CM7.
I can't get into download mode, so I'm not sure what I can do from here.
Anyone got any suggestions.
The phone does power up, but I just can't ADB or get it into download mode..
Get into recovery. There you go to mounts and storage, format /system, then reflash CM7 and gapps. That's how you flash CM7, you have to flash, format, then reflash.
hmm that didn't work.
The phone shows the Samsung splash, then loads CWM (v5.0.2.6)

Click to collapse
When you flash CM7, it gets stuck on the Samsung splashscreen, you pull the battery, boot into CWM, then format/reflash. What did you do?
from the beginning this is what I did:
1. I used SuperOneClick to root the Infuse
2. Followed the youtube video to install the 3e recovery.
3. Continued with the video and used ROM Manager to install CWM.
4. In ROM Manager, used "Reboot into Recovery"
5. Phone rebooted, and I was in the 3e recovery.
6. Selected "reinstall packages" (performed this twice).
7. Once I was in CWM 2.5.1.2, I flash the zip in "100% working ClockworkMod Recovery for Infuse 4G [GTG465x]" thread and rebooted recovery.
Somehow I was loaded into CWM v5.0.2.6. (not I'm not sure if this is the correct version)
8. I went to flash CM7 and gapps.
9. Rebooted phone.
10. Phone shows "Samsung" splash, then jumps right into CWM. I don't even tell the phone to boot into recovery.
Now I been trying to get into download mode, but i can't get the phone to be picked up by Odin or into download mode to start over...
Pull battery plug in USB cord hold volume buttons while put battery back in this will put you in download mode
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
Thanks! that did it...

Do you have a nandroid backup? You can also try downloading a different ROM from a computer, putting the file on your sd card, and flashing that in recovery.
If you've tried to connect to Odin and it failed, try different usb cables, different ports, maybe different computer.
Here is the run down of what happened.
1. Rooted (MF3)
2. Installed Goo Manager
3. Using Goo Manager I installed TWRP
4. Rebooted my S4
5. Reboots into Download loading (At the top there is 1 line in red that says "CWN MODE"?? I believe thats what is says its extremely small)
6. I located another thread where I could use ODIN and a PIT file (Verified it was correct for AT&T I337)
7. I was successful in getting the phone to boot
8. If I reboot the phone sometimes it will reboot back into Downloading and I have to repeat the using ODIN/PIT.
9. I also lost Recovery option.
Note:
A. I tried using Kies to do an Emergency Restore however my I337 vr is not supported (Not sure what that meant)
B. Tried flashing the stock at&t rom using ODIN but it fails.
Can anyone help?
Thank you
Hello people!
I have a J400F phone model, I was working with android 9 rooted & working well, I updated to android 10 with a fresh install, the phone works well, and I wanted to use a custom recovery TWRP and root the phone, it stuck in boot loop, this is how I flashed:
- Used Odin with the latest stock firmware "J400FXXU6CTGO".
- restart the phone, and the bootloader is already unlocked "OEM Unlocked".
- Downloaded TWRP for J400F from halabtech, flashed it, then rebooted to recovery.
- In home screen, Wipe --> Format.
- With TWRP I flashed RMM_Bypass_v3_corsicanu.zip then no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip
After this I tried booting to system but then It kept rebooting after reaching the samsung logo.
Any help is appreciated guys.
I managed to access the download mode by taking out the battery, put it back in the phone, connect it to USB in the computer, press vol down and home button and you should be able to enter the download mode to flash the stock ROM (still reading on the second part).
