Vibrant stays on with vibrant screen - General Questions and Answers

Hi Friends,
I was upgrading Samsung Vibrant (T-mobile) to ICS and got in to this stuck screen (image attached).
The phone stays in this mode. Below mentioned are chronological events:
1) I had the vibrant running Froyo (2.2).
2) I downgraded to Eclair (2.1) using Odin3-v1.85.
3) Then I rooted the phone using one click root for vibrant using update.zip file.
4) Downloaded rom manger to install clockworkmod recovery
5) Then used clockworkmod recovery to install ICS_euphoria_RC2 file (after wiping data/reset etc.)
6) The phone stayed in updating system mode for more than 20 minutes. So, I disconnected the battery and tried to re do ICS installation.
7) During one of the attempts the windows PC did not recognize the phone and then the phone stayed in the mode shown in the picture.
NOW:
I can get into recovery mode but cannot reboot the phone.
I can enter download mode but cannot connect to PC to connect to odin

Do you have a nandroid backup? You can also try downloading a different ROM from a computer, putting the file on your sd card, and flashing that in recovery.
If you've tried to connect to Odin and it failed, try different usb cables, different ports, maybe different computer.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S 19000-Stuck in Downloading Mode

Hi Guys,
Ive managed to root my phone, install all the necessary ROM files on my internal SD card.
Unfortunately, i have now bricked my fone and i it either stays on the black screen with the initial "Samsung Galaxy S 19000" in white writing....OR...if i press the 3-button combo it takes me to "Downloading mode"
I followed a link which said to..
Step 4.Put your phone into download mode again and flash the CyanogenMod 7 initial kernel (cm7-galaxys-initial-kernel.tar file from initial CM7 package) to it as PDA without auto-reboot using Odin.
Step 5.Reboot your phone into recovery using three button combination again.
Once i tried to reboot into recovery mode...it wouldnt allow me...it only took me to downloading mode. I think its because i didnt install ClockworkMod Recovery.
I need help with the following possible solutions:
Solution A: Can i flash any ROM ONLY using Odin? At least i can get into the phone and install ClockworkMod Recovery manally.
Solution B: Is there any other way to get into Recovery Mode..so i can just wipe/reset to factory mode?
Solution C: Any other ideas??
Thanks...any help would be appreciated!

[Q] Huawei u8500 HELP! Not booting!

Hello,
I have seen 1 thread that might help me under address:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1320350
So basically I own Huawei ideos u8500 and wanted to flash it, but instead of editing flashbooting I clicked it. After this my phone does not boot past flash screen, what changed is that I get a notepad-font Android inscription between Huawei logo and Android, so the later just loads and loads again.
I'm noob with updating software, rooting or whatever. When I went into flash mode, I installed drivers for windows xp but the drive didnt appear there. I tried factory reset, didnt work, maybe rom update would work? I dont have clockwork recovery mod installed.
Any ideas how to get this done? Maybe some other way to reset stuff would help?
Thank you all for reading it

Hey,
I also got problems with PC... so I think I opened flashbooting.bat without flashing mode as my PC doesnt work...and my phone is screwed.
In flashing mode theres no new device, but when I open it normally and put usb I can see 2 disks (1 SD and 2nd Phone).
So basically I could install a new ROM, although I have no idea how. I need to put Clockwork mod to root file... But which disk?
Instruction: how I doing it.
for new users like me who wants to update or reflash half-bricked U8500.
first, boot ur phone to fastboot mode (vol up+red tube+power) - it looks like forever loading with huawei logo.
download drivers for U8500 and install
download CWM fastboot for U8500
connect phone to pc, wait for drivers installing, then unzip cwm and double-click install.bat file from admin.
now you should have CWM.
boot to recovery CWM (vol up+green tube+power)
then go to mount ----> mount USB with volume keys and OK button or with joystick
now your phone connected as USB flash device, put any ROM that supposed to go for U8500 (for example Cyanogen mod 7 or even stock rom) in zip archive to root of SD card, click to unmount USB, go back to top and click install update from zip file and choose your zipped ROM located on SD card. after completing click wipe cache and wipe data then reboot device.

Hi All,
I rooted and installed a custom recovery. Now I am facing the following problems.
1. My SD card cannot be mounted and I cannot install any zip files from SD card. (I forgot to turn 'usb debugging on')
2. My phone gets recognized in recovery mode but in download mode the phone is not recognized by odin as well as computer. (All drivers are installed. Latest Kies installed)
3. When I switch it on normally it gets stuck at boot logo.
Could somebody help me to revive my phone.
let me know if it works
try factory reset with recovery mode but you will lose data

Install Stock Recovery on Unrooted Phone That Cannot Connect to a PC

Hey,
I own a WileyFox Storm that runs Cyanogen OS (kipper) as stock. A while back, I tried to root it, but failed so gave up. As it turns out, I forgot to get rid of the TWRP CR (which was an edition specifically designed for the Storm). There is now an update which I would like to install, but obviously it does not work because I do not have stock recovery.
MY PHONE IS NOT ROOTED!!!
I was going to flash the stock recovery using ADB fastboot, however my phone is now refusing to be recognised by my PC. Yes;
- I have the correct drivers installed.
- I have enabled USB debugging (I have also tried disabling it).
- I have tried rebooting both my phone and PC.
- I have tried rebooting my phone and wiping Cache and Dalvik Cache.
- I have tried with a different USB cable, and tried using a different USB port.
- I have tried removing my SD card.
My phone says that it is charging (which is is) when it connects to my PC, but nothing comes up, anywhere. No notifications (on both devices), ADB nor fastboot recognises it, no *chime* sound on my PC.
I cannot try using a different PC (I only have one). So, how can I replace the TWRP recovery with stock recovery???
Thanks )
