ACK! I just got my TF300 this evening, and did this method to root it. Nothing is even installed on the tab yet, it's just out of the box. I'm bricked. Stuck on the screen that says "Eee Pad", with no status bar, nothing. Tried to boot into recovery, and get the dead android with the red triangle/white exclamation point on him.
Can anyone help me unbrick my tab, please?
flash cmw via fastboot. once you've got cmw up and running boot into it and adb push c:\stockrom.zip /sdcard and then just flash it.

Awesome, thank you much. Two questionsI apologize if they are n00b questions)
1. I have adb.I know fastboot is different (at least, I think it is). How do I install fastboot?
2.Where do I get the stockrom.zip from, or is it already present on the internal sd?
Thank you for the answer and your patience!
I ended up taking the tab back, and they exchanged it for another one. Now, I have a totally new problem, however, so I made a post for it. Thank you tho!

So here's my story. I rooted my transformer (rooted with razorclaw and CWM recovery, had no problems) and I wanted to update the firmware, sooo. I followed some walk through on unrooting by downloading the stock recovery and stock rom to my sdcard then unzipping them and loading them with CWM recovery. I let it boot and rebooted to load in the stock rom. Then I rebooted and loaded the stock recovery and rebooted again. And now it wont start up past the "Asus Eee pad Transformer" screen and just stays on it. I can get into part of stock recovery and wipe data and cold boot linux. But when I try to get into the other half of recovery options it just does the little robot unpacking the stuff then I get a triangle with an exclamation mark saying it failed to load. I tried using NVflash with the prime v1.4 ROM and failed. The starting S/N is B90 so that's why I figured NVflash didn't work...Because I have V2 SBK not V1. I can go into APX mode but it's getting really frustrating, WHAT CAN I DO??
I don't think you were supposed to unzip those files. Those are CWM flashable zip files

I actually dont think I did unzip them so ignore that...I used this method at the unlockr

Yeah cause i was thinking if you did unzip it wouldn't flash anyway.
How long does is sit at the asus screen?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
forever until it dies, I can only get partially into recovery like I mentioned. Also when it charges it just shows that screen too(had to charge it cuz I got so frustrated I just left it and it ended up dying).
Please someone help, I have no idea how to flash a rom to my Device without NVflash. Is there some other program I could try that would work? I basically just need to flash a rom onto my device then I can try installing stock recovery again
Long shot but maybe try this, it's what peoples are doing to downgrade. Hopefully the recovery might pick it up after you reboot into recovery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20799328
I'll try this, but the download is taking forever...I'll have to update tomorrow thanks for your help
I tried in both the LOST.DIR folder and the main directory...the device didn't recognize it. I don't know what to do
Is there any other way to flash a rom on my transformer besides NVflash? or any other method? I'm up for anything now...does anything think if I sent it in to company they could do a restore?
The company could do a restore, but they will probably charge you since you rooted. You could try, or you could lie, and say it goobered after installing the update.
ive used easyflash and the flash completes 100% but doesnot boot up just stays on the nv screen or it shows battery empty sign?
anyone? i have problems getting it into apx mode, been trying for half an hour and still cant get it in to apx. would the bootloaders be a reason why i cant restore via nvflash?
Could it have gone flat during a flash? and it wont go into apx mode after the failed flash? Someone can correct me if im wrong but im sure partitions doesn't effect nvflash. what screens are you stuck at currently?

also stuck
i'm not sure if i'm jacking this thread, but i have the exact same issue- was stuck in cwm boot. could cold boot into the normal os, but who wants that. so i used easyflasher to flash the newest asus update and attempt to fix this situation. used sbk2. now stuck on the nvflash recovery screen. computer says i'm still in apx mode. can't get the sucker to reboot for the life of me. it will record on the tablet screen when i flash and reflash, but won't let me reboot. also tried to flash all three recoveries (cwm, twrp, and roachxm) to no avail. some help would be appreciated.
yup
i know somebody has an answer to this. i cannot be the only idiot to get stuck here.

Doesn't nvflash (easy flash) flash rogue recovery by default... have you installed naked drivers ? You can get into APX mode and then u r stuck ?

I dont think it does. Theres an option to flash cwm, rogue, and one by roach (the name is slipping my mind), none of them seem to work. The computer is registering as apx but the tablet says im in nvflash recovery.

There is option right... as far as i remember, when yo flash stock using nvflash it removes root access... so you need to root and flash cwm again using nvflash right... so best option is removing root n going back to stock using easy flash.... boot it normally... let it settle and then root it again and install rogue recovery
That what I did when I had issues with my tablet...

fixed!!!
ok got it. easyflasher 0.8.3b fixed it. whitekidneys has it working great now. the problem was getting easyflasher to finish the recovery kernel. something stopped or failed to transfer to the tablet while flashing the recovery. that means no recovery. that means i get stuck in apx mode. he updated it to 0.8.3b and it worked right away.

Hey there,
I had exactly the same problem , I had a boot loop tried easyflasher and after that only apx worked.
Now I have tried the new version and it boots again but the bootloop remains...
Any idea what else I could try?

You flashed a recovery and reflashed the os? When you say new version you mean 0.8.3b right? Cause 0.8.3 doesnt work. You have the newest system update zip from the asus site in the asusupdate folder? When you say bootloop do you mean you can only get to your recovery or do you mean a real bootloop- it just keeps rebooting on the eee pad or asus screen?

I used the option Flash stock/unbrick at first but this didn't help so i tried flashing a recovery and then reflash the os from my external sd card but this result in an error code 7.
Yes I used 0.8.3b ( at least the zip I downloaded says so, program itself says 0.8.3)
With bootloop I mean that I can access recovery/apx but if the system trys to boot it gets stuck at the "Asus Inpiring inovation..." screen.
And yes I copied the latest zip from the asus site to the update folder.
I also tired putting the DE_epaduser9_2_1_21UpdateLauncher.zip from the asus site because I'm from germany and thought it may help...
But none of that worked for me
Thank you for your reply btw.

Crap. Try all of the updates. If you can get to your recovery its definitely a problem with the os. Try othe other updates or get ahold of whitekidneys. He helped me. Or maybe youre having another issue he needs to address.
Hello. I have ran into a problem and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it.
I purchased my TF300T a couple days ago and upgraded to 4.2. I unlocked the boot loader and installed cwm recovery. It seemed as if the recovery would not mount or recognize any storage and would not let me install or wipe any thing. I tried to install another recovery through fast boot. It would say successful in my adb command window, but the boot loader would freeze and I would have to force reboot. I tried wiping the recovery, then flashing the new one and still no luck. Now I am stuck with no recovery and unable to flash a new one.
I can still boot up into android.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

You flashed bad recovery! You tried to install CWM for JB 4.1.1, now you can't install recovery for 4.2.1. You must wait for new version of recovery (TWRP is the best!).

You have TWRP 2.4.3.0 now => [RECOVERY][TF300T/TG] TWRP 2.4.3.0 Touch Recovery! [2013-3-1] by eyeballer and the download link
You have all versions:
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-ICS.blob
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-ICS.img
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-JB.blob
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-JB.img
I tried flashing those. It would say that it was successful in the adb window, but the boot loader would freeze. When I try to boot into recovery it goes straight to the android os-

I searched forums extensively but was unable to find a solution to this problem I recently encountered:
I recently flashed CWM Recovery and rooted my TF700 on android 4.0.3. Since I was not receiving any notifications for an OTA jellybean update I flashed it myself as per these instructions (apparently I'm not allowed to post URL as a new user, but the thread I read was entitled [GUIDE] How to manually update/restore firmware (Tf700, TF300, TF101, possibly TF201) and was located on transformerforums.com. The firmware update was successful, however I lost root access in the process. I attempted to reinstall root, however quickly discovered that CWM Recovery was no longer accessible by holding down power and vol down as it usually is; instead, I am taken to a bootloader screen with three options: RCK, ANDROID, WIPE. I can no longer access fastboot or my recovery ... can anyone shed some light on what I may do to gain access to recovery or fastboot again?
Thanks in advance!

That is my thread . You flashed stock correct? Then that means you wiped out root and CWM. You are able to access the boot loader with 3 icons? Look up in the corner, it will say when at the screen with 3 icons that fastboot is running. It is also suggested to use TWRP as CWM can cause TF700s to brick when on 4.2.1.

^ sorry i forgot; yes I flashed stock jellybean
Just tried to flash TWRP and got the same hangup as when I tried to flash CWM: command window says waiting on device and they never hook up. I noticed when I plug in my tablet instead of the typical low beep and then a high beep indicating a device is connected, i get three sad, low beeps, does that mean my ADB bootloader drivers are the problem? When I disconnect it makes the typical high beep and low beep.

To make this simple, boot into the stock ROM, root it using motochopper. You are unlocked correct, Once rooted, download GooManager from Play Store, click top right 3 dots, and select "Install Openscript Recovery". Make sure GooManager has Root Rights' first. Then try booting into recovery after it restart.

Many thanks Tylor, worked perfectly! I now once again have root and have TWRP installed and functioning. Wish I had heard of Motochopper before, very nice tool.
Hi guys
I recently tried putting a CM10 on my tf700t 4.2.1
I read all the guides, dangers and info I could before starting.
I had numerous issues with adb and all the command prompt programs not recognising my device was connected.
Anyway, I unlocked it using the ASUS tool from their website, that was fine.
I then followed the instructions on getting the recovery image on. I got TWRP on finally.
I then placed the CM zip folder on the storage, booted in recovery and flashed it on.
It installed successfully but now it doesn't get back the boot up screen of the spinning light wheel.
ANy help would be appreciated, I can still boot to the recovery menu, should I wipe it all or?
Thanks in advance!
Sounds as if you may have the wrong bootloader or the wrong bootloader/recovery combination. Check which bootloader is required for CM and what you are running now. Also, versions matter. So check the compatibility of the TWRP version you are running.
Do not wipe anything unless you know what you are doing!
