Unable to flash recovery. - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello. I have ran into a problem and was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it.
I purchased my TF300T a couple days ago and upgraded to 4.2. I unlocked the boot loader and installed cwm recovery. It seemed as if the recovery would not mount or recognize any storage and would not let me install or wipe any thing. I tried to install another recovery through fast boot. It would say successful in my adb command window, but the boot loader would freeze and I would have to force reboot. I tried wiping the recovery, then flashing the new one and still no luck. Now I am stuck with no recovery and unable to flash a new one.
I can still boot up into android.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks.

You flashed bad recovery! You tried to install CWM for JB 4.1.1, now you can't install recovery for 4.2.1. You must wait for new version of recovery (TWRP is the best!).

So is my only option to wait for a recovery to be made for 4.2 ?

You have TWRP 2.4.3.0 now => [RECOVERY][TF300T/TG] TWRP 2.4.3.0 Touch Recovery! [2013-3-1] by eyeballer and the download link
You have all versions:
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-ICS.blob
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-ICS.img
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-JB.blob
openrecovery-twrp-2.4.3.0-tf300t-JB.img

I tried flashing those. It would say that it was successful in the adb window, but the boot loader would freeze. When I try to boot into recovery it goes straight to the android os-

Can't boot recovery after official 4.1.1 update

I had my tf300t unlocked and running cm9 and wanted to try the official Jelly bean update. I downloaded the update from Asus's website and installed it through cwm. I was then able to boot and run 4.1.1 but decided that I would rather run cm9, it simply felt faster to me. I rebooted and found that cwm was removed, so I booted into fastboot and re-flashed cwm. But now the tablet will no longer boot, it stays at the white asus logo and when I try to boot recovery by holding down power and volume down, nothing happens anymore. There is no way to get to fastboot or adb. How do I get to cwm and reflash cm9 now? Sorry if something has been posted before, I made several searches but found nothing similar.
You need fastboot. Try again. And fastboot the updated recovery for JB
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26533819
Then reflash the OTA JB. Then camp out on JB until there's new dev for the new JB mods.
There's no current way to go back yet. Hang tight bud.

Thanks, but I cant get the devices to fastboot anymore, when I hold down the volume down and power button nothing at all happens
You need to wait for nvflash.

Error loading recovery - trying to install CROMI

I unlocked my stock TF700T using the Asus Unlock Tool with 10.6.1.14.8 installed. It does say the device is unlocked in the upper left hand corner during boot. I then installed Goomanager and installed TWRP 2.5.0.0 as directed. It gave a very small splash screen indicating successful installation. Then when I execute the boot into recovery, it appears to try to install an update and then fails with the Red Exclamation "Error" android.
I've tried repeating the steps to no avail. I was able to wipe data so I think that my stock recovery is still in place. I also tried to install ADB Tool as an alternative way to install TWRP, but my Infinity would not unzip the package correctly and I couldn't install it. Can anyone help me get TWRP in place and boot into recovery so I can flash the CROMI ROM? Thanks.

I was able to use the ADB Tool on my computer to flash the TWRP recovery onto the TF700. Thanks to all those who looked at this, but I'm on my way again to flashing a ROM. Guess I needed to give myself another hour to figure it out.

You have to root your tab before you can use Goomanager to install TWRP.
Use the motochopper tool to root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2258633
Run Goo again and give it root access. Now you will be able to install TWRP.

Won't boot to recovery

I'm having an issue where my tab won't boot into the recovery. I'm running cromix 4.7.0, and downloaded twrp 4.6.1 through goo manager today...when it reboots and is supposed to go to the recovery but it just reboots. I also tried booting yup recovery from the power menu, and the bootloader and the same thing happened. I was cleaning up files that were taking internal memory space today, could I have deleted something that's causing this issue? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like it didn't flash properly to me. I'll be preparing a new version of my bootloader and twrp flashable zip later today after I test twrp 2.6.1.0
Have you tried flashing twrp via the fastboot method?
I did try the fastboot method as well.

The only time i had this issue was when i used Hund kernel (which had a know reboot to recovery bug) and the workaround was to press the Power button until the tablet reboot, then access to Recovery was granted. Otherwise i have no idea what might cause the issue.

Since installing CM10.1.3RC, reboot to recovery from CWM doesn't work. Both TRWP and CWM recoveries fail. Can manually enter recovery. Goo Manager will still reboot into recovery, either TRWP or CWM. Seems like this started with the installation of the latest CM RC.

Have you considered reflash the latest Asus firmware and fastboot TWRP or CWM? It may solve your problem..

I'm reluctant to nuke my current installation, particularly since it reboots to recovery with Goo Manager. I'll wait for the next iteration of CM or CWM, if it doesn't solve the issue I may go for it.

How would I go about doing a flash of the latest ASUS Firmware, I am currently on CM 10.1 and cannot get into recovery (even using goomanager). I did try to flash via fastboot but it does not seem to work. There is an error when I select RCK in fastboot, I can't remember off hand but it has to do with fastboot error, could this be my error?

[Q] Stuck on the animated boot screen (spinning wheel)

Hi guys
I recently tried putting a CM10 on my tf700t 4.2.1
I read all the guides, dangers and info I could before starting.
I had numerous issues with adb and all the command prompt programs not recognising my device was connected.
Anyway, I unlocked it using the ASUS tool from their website, that was fine.
I then followed the instructions on getting the recovery image on. I got TWRP on finally.
I then placed the CM zip folder on the storage, booted in recovery and flashed it on.
It installed successfully but now it doesn't get back the boot up screen of the spinning light wheel.
ANy help would be appreciated, I can still boot to the recovery menu, should I wipe it all or?
Thanks in advance!
Sounds as if you may have the wrong bootloader or the wrong bootloader/recovery combination. Check which bootloader is required for CM and what you are running now. Also, versions matter. So check the compatibility of the TWRP version you are running.
Do not wipe anything unless you know what you are doing!

My TF300T won't boot and TWRP won't start

Yesterday I've just shut down the tablet and go to sleep. Today he decided to don't boot up anymore! It shows the ASUS logo for some seconds than it reboots. I've tried to boot in recovery but after showing me the TWRP logo it reboots.
I've re-flashed the recovery but nothing, I've tried a different recovery (TWRP 3 or CWM) and nothing changed. CWM has booted up but it has access errors so I was unable to do anything.
I was using KatKiss 6 and last TWRP 2.8, my bootloader is the 27.5
what can I try?
thank you in advance
Can you boot into fastboot?
Sent from my TF700T using Tapatalk
yes, it does, and the pc also sees it
Then I'd recommend you do a buster99 and start from scratch: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44244313&postcount=12
that's what I thought, a clean firmware reinstalling. Thank you for the link!
