I'm an old school mobile user, and actually, this is my first glass screened, capacitive mobile (other than a quickly returned Nook Tablet). When I first started reading about capacitive styli, I had to get used to complaints about friction and durability of the rubber versions. For my nook tablet, I made my own stylus out of a small flashlight (body) and some conductive foam (tip) from some old processor packaging.
Then I read about this conductive microfiber tipped one on the verge's most recent update to their styli mega post, the TruGlide. It wasn't their pick of anything, but it meets my wants and all the amazon and youtube reviews seem pretty psyched. It's supposed to be durable, soft and smooth and responsive. I'm pretty sure that's what I'm getting.
Anyone else got their eye on something interesting?
I read some reviews on Android Central about two that I liked. One being the Wacom Bamboo stylus, which seemed to be the most balanced all around for everything. It wasn't quite as good for writing as the Adonit Jot Pro, but I also didn't like that the Jot Pro had a lot of sound when writing in print. I did like that both had replaceable tips. I'm planning on picking up a Bamboo, as it seemed to be the most balanced and incredibly durable with a great, premium feel to go along with my premium tablet.
I just got the Amazon Basics Stylus: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004GCJEZU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00 it's about $10, has 4 stars and 600+ reviews. I've had Amazon HDMI cables in the past and they were pretty good.
I bought the cheapest no-name stylus for ~$3 and it's been great so far for some drawing in SuperNote, I'm not really using it besides that, but I don't see why it wouldn't be fine for general use.
I had an el cheapo one delivered with my leather case, and it serves rather commendably. I've lost it yesterday, so I'd better get my work bag overhauled and see if I can spot it in there. Otherwise, I hope that the lucky finder at least knows what it is and makes good use of it. :S

I think I'm going to order the Bamboo and give it a try. Maybe I'll order two and see which one I like better.

Well, if (s)he decides to stick it up his/her own behind*, for C's sake, let's have the movie posted to YouTube for all to see. At least I'd get a laugh out of it. (Your remark made me laugh as well; hadn't thought of that point of view. )
* or someone else's behind, for all I care...
Apparently The Verge has a huge list of stylii they review and constantly update. IIRC, the ranked the Kensington stylus pretty well and it's pretty cheap. You may want to take a look at their site for the full list.

The verge link is in the first post for anyone interested.
My truglide is everything I'd hoped for. A very light touch is all that's needed, I never have to press and it never seems to not register. I got the short tether version, I might get spares for when I inevitably misplace it.
I dont have much of a need for a stylus, but I do have one I made out of a cheap pen, some wire and a sponge. Works decent on my Atrix, so I figure it'll work fine on the Infinity as well.

$25 for a stylus with a personal assistant that only types? I do not want to build myself a reputation here, but for so much overprice, she'll have to do more than that.
I've used mostly Wacomb stylus due to just having them on hand and they work very well. Usually nothing too fancy, but they are solidly built with a degree of quality that isn't always found in the cheap ones.
Makes sense I guess, seeing how they've been in the business for quite some time with their touch/drawing boards.
Too bad even a stylus costs a fortune to have shipped here.
I got the BoxWave Evertouch:

This is my first capacitive stylus. I was attracted by the sturdier tip, and so far it has not disappointed. I don't think longevity will be an issue.

I've bought a Belkin rubber-tipped stylus earlier today, and, like the el cheapo rubber-tipped one I had lost before, it is quite good. I am still deciding on which microtextile-tipped one to purchase, since they have a reputation to go that bit longer. I feel like ordering a bunch and picking my personal favorite and giving one away to my father-in-law. The rest will go in reserve, just in case I lose this one too...

So I looked up the link, and I might try yours. That's the kind of tip I was referring to; it's reputed to be mor immediate whe writing and drawing, and to glide over the screen more easily after longer periods of use|, whereas the rubber ones get schmutz on the tip and subsequently start to skip a bit, it seems. No idea if cleaning them regularly helps to any significant degree.

Still no gel skin for the Transformer? Galaxy Tab 10.1 has one already and we've been waiting what, several months now and not one enterprising individual with the means to make silicone gel skins has done so?
I don't get it. More people bought the Transformer than the 10.1, I'm sure of that. So is there some kind of problem other than that the gel case may not allow the TF to dock properly? What about the people who don't use the dock?

Unfortunatly in the internet world, the best products, and better selling products only get air-time if someone is prepared to pay for air time..
I'm guessing if you ask an average joe on the street name a tablet that's not an iPad2, they will mention Galaxy Tab, or perhaps Xoom, despite the Transformer outselling both of them combined....
It's the messed up world we live in, where if you have plenty of cash, you can make the internet say what you want it to say, and hide what you want buried. Microsoft and Apple use this to great effect on a regular basis, covering up anything bad, highlighting the good...
For example, look at how stupid this review is: http://www.t3.com/feature/samsung-galaxy-tab-10-1-vs-ipad-2-vs-hp-touchpad
In the UK, we have a tech show for idiots called The Gadget Show, and it cherry-picks a handful of items to compare, using idiotic comparison critera. The main problem is, they rarely actually review the best items, they review the items pushed as freebies by manufacturers with the biggest promotional budgets.. Idiots of course don't understand this concept, and assume the most well-known products must be the best products...
A couple of thoughts.
First, the General forum is the wrong place for this post, Accessories would be better.
Second, skin usage would be less with a TF because a lot of people dock it and form a netbook which is kept in a netbook case.
I think more Xooms and Tabs have been sold than the Transformer, actually. But, I think that was mostly due to the supply problems Asus had for a while?

Hi guys
I wanted to touch a - in my opinion - important problem. It is the quality of our Transformers.
I always respected Asus due to their high quality products. Unfortunately my transformer had some problems.
First thing is after 3 days of using it I saw a dust under the screen. How did it end? I had to send it to service center.
The second thing was creaking - it started after 2 months of using. I thought that high end product such as Asus (a respected and experienced company) will be high quality. Well I was so mistaken.
I love Transformer but this was to much for me. So I sold it. I did it because of three reasons. One - TF Prime is coming so it is last chance to sell it with good price. Two - I was mad because of poor quality. Three - I have Ipad2 so I will not be lonely.
So this is my history. The problem is I WANT TF Prime ASAP. But am concerned about its quality. I hope Asus will not let me down... again...
Please vote in my poll and write me your feelings about quality of your Transformers.
PS - I wanted to start this discussion because I have heard few bad opinions about transformers.
Hello, good luck to you whatever you get, after owning a scroll 7inch and a hannspad, i think this is the ultimate tablet, games for it is awesome, fast web browsing, films through web, brilliant batt life, so far my tf has been perfect, and thats even with me being unable to root, just think when it gets routed, it'll be ultimate, last week i was going to a meeting, i put mickey mouse choo choo express on it, my 3 boys satand watched it for 45 mins then me oldest boy played angry birds, it made my wifes job easier lol, its sad that you had a bad experience, but my own experience has been amazing so far.

This is the case for me also, but it doesn't annoy me as much when I first got it. I have it in a folio case and it is unnoticeable.
As much as I like my TF and Dock. The dock had to go back 2 times for repair.
1st was for the hardware update for powersave, the 2nd - they must have hit the charge switch when they had it for serivce the first time.
I bought them both on Sept 24 and have had the dock in my hands for just 4 days.
It is on the way back to me now.
I had similar problems with my first Eeepc.
If I did not want just what the TF and dock were - I would not have sent the dock in the first time - I would have just returned it for money back.
I only reccomend the TF to someone like me, that wants the great pluses of the TF and dock.
If someone asks me about an android tablet and does not want the hastle of maybe returns for repair on a new product - I suggest the Tab or an (ew) iPad - The iPad itself looks and works great but I am not keen on Apple.
I've had my Tf since July and haven't had any major problems with the unit itself (other than minor light bleed and creaky bezel which doesn't bother me) and I just got the dock a few weeks ago and haven't had any problems with it either. I have had the charger die on my twice though since I bought the tablet. IMO the TF Prime will probably be a lot better quality than the TF101 was because it was Asus' first foray into making tablets. Hopefully they have seen the error of their ways and have taken actions to make it better.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
The little creeking doesn't bother me too much. But I had to return my first unit because the volume button broke. The power and volume buttons feel flimsy and I try to use them as little as possible for fear one might break again.
I use audio manager to adjust the volume and plug the charger in in the AM to turn it on. Though the power button is my only option for turning my FT off.
Just wanted to add that I still love my transformer and think it's a great device.
keyboard
Plenty of things are suboptimal about the Transformer but the one that annoys me the most is the keyboard lag.
Maybe it's an inadvertent mission of mine to post in every "My Transformer is CRAP!" thread, but I've been in love with the Asus Transformer from the time I started playing with a Viewsonic gTablet all the way up to the current moment, where I have a rootable B7O-serial TF101-A1 along with the dock.
I even got mine as an open box deal because someone had returned it to newegg (the tablet itself, I got the dock separately from amazon). Even a tablet someone returned was perfect for me. Sorry you're having a bad time of it, but I really think the majority of the TF101s are in great shape. People who have problems are far more vocal than people who have experienced just what they expected from a good product.
There isn't anything notable about getting a well-built item for around $400, but if you spend $400 and you get something that has issues, you have all the reason in the world to be vocal about it. If you count the number of threads complaining about poor quality or serious issues, then compare it to the number of Transformers that have been sold, I'd venture to guess that you would make the determination that it really is a fine product.

No we just talk about hardware problems not software.
Hardware wise I've had no problems but in checking these forums fairly regularly, I am doubtful about ASUS's quality control for this device. Perhaps because they started to sell like Tablet Hot Cakes? Hehe.

How do you work out that 1/3 of "us" have had problems?
Is that 1/3 of 10 posts here?
Or 1/3 of at least a million of these out in use at the moment..
I have a feeling your figuring might be a little skewed due to its narrow demographics of using xda as
your platform
Try googling how many have been sold.. Verses how many threads there are of complaints..
Granted there is a few out there but in the 10mins i just spent doing it..

Here's My Two Cents
I love this thing. I have been an avid member here on XDA for several years now, and I never feel the need to chime in my opinion on the quality of the device I bought. This is mainly because I research the hell out of anything expensive I am going to purchase. This was no different. That being said...
I have had my Transformer for only a short while, but this thing has MORE than exceeded my expectations. It is just as light and thin as the ipad, WAY more customizable, and wasn't too expensive for what I actually got.
I have the 32Gb B70 pad, and I run the Revolver Rom on it. I have some of the coolest widgets and apps on this machine too. I kinda wish I could make my pc as much eye candy as my pad. It is fast and extremely responsive, so the hardware must be pretty good based on that alone. Software is only as good as it's hardware capabilities will allow. As far as the buttons, mine are fine, and seem no weaker than the ones on my HTC Evo 4g. I think some people are too hard on mechanical things. Ever been to the gas pump and not get it to register when you press a button? Couldn't you tell that it was mostly because too many people have pressed WAY to hard on the buttons? As far as the charger, I am not a fan of the style they chose, should have just used the micro-usb style since those are easy to get a hold of, and are cheap.
My battery is good, granted only time will tell, but hey batteries die, by the time it becomes a problem, I will probably be ready to upgrade my toy anyway.
I give my Transformer an A+

Transformer Quality
My son has the transformer and loves it. There have been no issues at all. The biggest downside that i can see is their customer service and the warranty. If for some reason you damage the table yourself, (CID) it voids the entire warranty for future use. In other words if you were to crack your screen and send it back to ASUS for repair, and down the road you have an issue with something else (besides the power cord) you are no longer covered. So beware!!
Hi ALL,
This post is to address the confusion regarding the difference between the TF-201 only doc and the TF-700 Infinity dock that was released at the same time as the Infinity that I like many orderd the package on release day, (paying full MSRP for both, some paid more, where TF-201 doc is available easily $50-$60 cheaper, hence the importance of figuring out the distinction). The common theory is there is no real difference... that I shared once I received my TF-700 dock and saw no external differences other than a few stickers, and no differences what so ever in capability. There was a reported reduction in battery capacity in the TF-700 dock and change in battery position to distribute weight more effectively to prevent tip overs, but all indications (model number on box, in BIOS, etc.) indicate that this isn't true, that we all received repackaged TF-201 docks. Given the dramatic price difference (50% more in price), and the fact that I have been a loyal Asus customer for years, if Asus is going downhill and resorting to blatant misleading of their customers just to make a buck, IMO I can no longer trust anything that company says, and to me, beyond all else, trust is the most important when selecting your supplier of choice.
Their honesty regarding product issues, their innovation, and fantastic value (in most cases) for Asus products will be missed, but there are other great choices out there (and cheaper too), so do not despair. In the last month alone, even before the first reviews hit the inet (either professional or consumer) I have purchased an Asus Z77 Premium motherboard (their TOTL 1155 Z77 motherboard, and NOT CHEAP). I also got their GTX670 Direct CUII TOP video card (TOP version supposedly means it has the best binned video ships of all of the 670s for better over clocks and over all stability), but based on the cumulative results across then the inet on the comparisons between the standard Direct DUII and the TOP version I regularly see the normal version doing better (sometimes significantly) than the TOP versions, sometimes not, it basically looks like a TOP is no different than a standard model. These tests are controlled and documented tests, with one variable, which card is used in the test bed, everything else was done properly. In other words, I believe now that I payed an extra $30 for three letter printed on a box that mean nothing(MINE OVERCLOCKS HORRIBLY BTW), and overclocking is what paying the extra $30 for the TOP versions is FOR, they even given you an app overclock by pushing a button in their auto-oveclock app, so it is certainly a "supported and encouraged" practice. I bring this other example up because I am thinking that this dock thing is not an isolated incident. I am depressed to loose a friend/hardware partner where the only benefit is increasing the margin just a tiny bit. I have also just purchased the ASUS Zenbook Prime UX31A-DB51 13.3-Inch Ultrabook (SSD, ULV i-5, over a grand for that), and now I am wondering what I got into on that front. Now on to the proof...
All of the ones on the left in the SxS's are the TF-700s, (you can tell in the TF 700 because its stickers is missing the claim of 18hr battery life on the sticker on the palm rest). For the close ups, with only one dock, the pic is labeled with which doc it is.
which one is the tf201 and tf700 docks?
Sent from my ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T using xda app-developers app
Fixed, the TF-700 is always the one of the left when disassembled and side by side, I forgot tot annotate the pics, I am TIRED .
P.S. Sad when you cannot even tell them apart, Asus really pulled a fast one IMO.
Well I guess it's nice to see that they both have a 2940 mAh battery...
And the circuit board of TF700 dock, just below the wide black ribbon cable, says "TF201 docking"...
I really want to know what Asus have to say about these findings. I wonder how Asus will try and dig themselves out of this one...
So moral of the story is to get the Primes dock? I'm thinking about buying a dock. Whats the point in spending $60 extra for the same thing? I can use that towards school! And beverages!!!
The Country Product Manager ASUS Romania & Bulgaria has sent me an email on July:
"Both docking stations, for TF201 and TF700, are identical, with same battery 2940mAh(22Wh)"
So, is official, not a new discovery!
On the other side, Asus write on the official website of TF700, a different thing:
Battery: 19.5Wh + (The Eee Pad Transformer Prime mobile dock is NOT compatible with Transformer Pad Infinity)

Yep! Buy the TF201 dock at a discount while you can because they are identical. My TF700 dock is going back. I might send it all back and boycott Asus because of their shady business practices but I am undecided at this point because my second choice at this point is an iPad 3 but they do not support mouse functionality as far as I know and that's almost a deal killer for me.

Agreed, i got the 201 dock up the street at Best buy for $99 ($105 after tax). Probably will be able to find it cheaper online, but in my case I had an $80 BB gift card burning a hole in my wallet, and I rarely shop there, so it was a match made in heaven . My other one is going back as well.
Guys guys guys. These ARE NOT identical. The difference is rather noticable too. If you all would stop ranting and raving about being ripped off for just a moment you would see that one is a small "check" big "2" while the other is a big "check" small... well a zero or something, hard to tell. This is a clear performance edge over whichever is supposed to be the older one.
Retracted.
Skullmonkey said:
That bolded statement alone makes me think you have no clue what you are talking about. From what I have been reading, there are no performance issues using the Primes (that would be your dubbed "older one") dock with the Infinity. It works perfectly well. And going through those pictures, I can see no visual difference between the docks. The Infinity's battery is supposed to be less but you can see clearly in the pictures that the batteries are the exact same minus the printing.
Plus your 'proof' makes no sense but that is probably because I don't have either dock.
Just my honest opinion.

Thanks, very nice page and history. I have to ask, can someone point me to a URL to teach me how to take pics like that specifically ? I have a Canon S95, T3i with an excellent Macro lense, SX230, and other nice cameras which certainly would have been clearer, but nothing like what the page you linked would look like (mainly how they make it look like they took the pics in white space. I was using my Galaxy IIs to take the pics of my work last night, time was of the essence given it was really late, I was also working at the same time, and had an early AM (that I missed cos I overslept :/).
Not asking for a full blown photography page to tell me how to check and adjust WB and all of that, just specifically how they take the pics so the hardware just seems to be floating in white... I don't see ANY edges at all to indicate PSing. Do they just have it on a stand perhaps with a perfectly white back ground or something? I will update my pics with much better ones soon, but I would LOVE to be able to post pics like that website .

AWESOME, thanks!!
Very sneaky Asus... Glad I got the TF201 dock at best buy for $99, I almost waited for the 700 dock, that woulda been a waste...
Thanks for the images and review.
I have been on the market for an Android 10 inch tablet for close to a year. I have watching several of the devices that have come on the market there. I like the iPad for some things but I hate the proprietary nature and many other numerous issues to list.
Back to my original question though
I have been following reviews online and this is probably the 3rd or 4th time that I have seen reviews on Amazon.com or other sites that the ASUS TF700 has some "build quality issues" they have pointed out problems with the tablet making a squeaky noise when pressing on the glass in some areas and it appearing that the "glue is coming loose". I wanted to say that if I'm spending $500+ on a device. I want it to work, and work well, and not have to replace it in a year or less.
Another comment I have seen is that its sluggish when doing "heavy multitasking". I plan to do quite a bit of multitasking on it and wondered what other user's experiences are. I have read that ASUS will release the Jelly Bean update to this device and I would expect that this may help with some of that.
One of the reasons that I'm certainly considering going with the ASUS over the other tablets is that I prefer ASUS devices on other platforms. I have an ASUS laptop that originally came with Windows Vista (that tells you how dated it is). It's probably 4-5 years old at this point and it's still working off the original AC adapter, original battery and it still works flawlessly. I have owned several ASUS motherboards that work perfectly and last.
I wanted your opinions, since you guys are the Android tablet guru's and I've read some of the other posts. Even the one about the squeakiness by the speaker. But I' m wondering if this is a common issue or one to be concerned about.
One last thing is that I noticed there is an Atmel stylus that might be compatible with it. Has anyone purchased and used one yet? If so, what do you think about it? I'm seriously considering the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 as well because of this stylus capability and the 2GB of ram in there. Money is not that much of a problem since I will be using gift cards (like up to $700 worth) to buy it.
Yes, Asus definitely has some quality-control issues, but if you do get a "bad" one, you can always just return it for another. Personally, my TF700 is fine - some minor light bleed on the bottom and right sides, but it's only noticeable at full brightness, which I'll never use anyway. I don't have the clicking/squeaking noise either. I truly believe that most of these issues are very minor and most folks wouldn't even notice them if they weren't looking for them.
Don't let this hold you back from an awesome tablet - that's why they make warranties! My original TF101 is still running great (hardware-wise, at least - ICS is another story!) - never had any hardware issues with it and my wife still uses it daily.

I'm surprised. From what I see here, I think I got one of the nicer tablets. My screen has no obvious light bleeds, no dust trapped under the glass, or scratches. The display is bonded firmly and doesn't squeak. I guess it may be potluck with the build quality, but mine is built well.
Like jtrosky said, if you get a bad one, you can exchange it.

First one had dust under screen.
Second had huge bright white crater-like defect in center of screen. Really bad defect - can't understand how that passed quality control.
Third one is perfect....so far....
Asus should stay with what they do best..build computers. They sucks with pad, problems after problems. The TF700 is not ready for prime time. They did the 201 and still making too many mistake with the 700. I can named many like, USB,SB card, I/O bottle neck, phone jack volume, noise when pressed on glass, not fitting well with dock..and on and on. I would wait for Samsung Note 10.1.

But then what would be the alternative: Acer? Apple? Samsung where you're stuck on the same firmware forever?
I think the problem is the separation of design and production these days. These tablets are made by faceless Chinese workers, and then shipped over here. Its not like it used to be where the factory workers and the manufacturer and quality control were all in one place. In fact, do we even know if ASUS ever even sees the tablets after they leave the factory and get shipped to the warehouse?
You should be honored. You're now an ASUS employee - we get to inspect the tablets and return the defective ones - we're quality control technicians!

Asus sold the product, they're 100% responsible for their product, doesn't matter how/where they were made. I payed Asus with my own hard working money and I do have the right to complaint when the product is not working as advertise. I will be glad to contribute my free time to test for them for free if they allowed me to have the product for FREE.

That sounds nice. But you have to vote with your wallet. And the public already has. People want cheap stuff. The Chinese make cheap stuff. So regardless of weather ASUS is responsible or not, if people continue to buy it, why would ASUS have any reason to change? The days of real premium quality merchandise are over.
Every product on the face of the planet is now made in one place. We chose to abandon our factories and manufacturing facilities. So cheap lower quality stuff is now the norm.

I believe that he was just being sarcastic with that last statement!

I was in the same boat as you, waiting for a 10" tablet that I thought fit my needs and was worth the premium we pay for tablet devices.
I was concerned about quality as well. I kept seeing all kinds of stories on the forums (loose glass, dust, light bleed, etc). I ordered from Amazon knowing that it would be easy to return if there was a problem, but mine is just fine and fortunately has none of the problems that some other people have had.
Re: multitasking - I do a lot of multitasking. I usually have it on "balanced" mode and it's super smooth. It slows down a very little bit when I'm updating 2+ apps simultaneously, and the odd occasion where I'm running multiple CPU-intensive apps, but I just switch to "performance" mode for that short period of time and it's back to being snappy.
If you get a bad one, just return it immediately and get a new one. I'm loving this tablet =)
Thanks, I appreciate your input. I think I may end up going with it. We'll see...The samsung note 10.1 doesn't even disclose how much it will cost yet. I'm worried that even $700 may not be enough. I have heard some rumors of around $750. Plus, I don't know how much I would honestly use the Stylus. It would be a fun toy, but not practical for day to day use for me most likely. I'm so used to using touch interfaces all my other android tablet devices and a prior iPhone now anyway.
Keep in mind as well that it'd usually not the happy people that write or speak out. Its often the dissatisfied. There are plenty of happy and satisfied users out there as well.

Got my T700 a couple weeks ago
I've had enough time to grow accustomed to it and I love it so far. I can see what same are saying about the build quality issues. The glass feels slightly loose in some areas but not so much that it would come apart.

I hope it works out for you. I think this is a terrific tablet (and keyboard dock).
I was wondering if someone could post a video of a stylus being used on the TF700 for drawing and writing. I couldn't find any good videos and would love a demonstration and possibly comparison to the TF201.
I am planning on buying a new tablet as my TF201 had many problems in addition to the terrible digitizer and I want to use it for notes in college. Currently deciding between TF700 and Galaxy Note 10.1 once some reviews come out. Only problem is I would like decent handwriting and a keyboard so this is a big player in my decision.
Any help is appreciated!
Can't compare it to the TF201 since I've never used it, but here's a very brief demo I threw together:

My general experience is that how well a device draws is as much a function of the stylus as the device itself. I'm using this:
http://www.amazon.com/New-Trent-Micro-Knit-Retractable-IMP63T/dp/B007FXMOV8/
It's the best I've ever used, and pretty cheap too.

Awesome, thank you so much. It looks much more accurate and responsive than the TF201 was. I couldn't even draw a circle on it without there being flat parts around the edges.
I already have the "New Trent Limir" stylus which I assume has the same tip or a very similar one to the one you used so I should be good there.
I'm using the Adonis Jot Flip, works so much better with the Infinity vs. my old Prime, both in responsiveness (from touch to registration of touch) and accuracy (I notate in cursive, in rather small handwriting).

It's called "Paint Joy", and it's free.

If you want a stylus for any real sketching...and dont want to go with the samsung note line of devices....then pick the adonit jot stylus. You can buy directly from them or on amazon, or possibly elsewhere. Awesome stylus. Great customer service. The stylus comes with one tip, and I broke it. I was putting it on in the wrong way and broke it, completely my fault, and they sent me two free replacements for the one that I broke. No cost to me. So I get *two* for the *one* that *I* broke. Good service, if you ask me.
Not to mention I have tried many stylus devices, and never found one I liked until this one.
Also, android police have a great review between the tf201, tf300, and tf700
In part of that review they did a small spot on the drawing.
"Since a few people vented to me that digitizer performance was sorely underappreciated in tablets, I ran a simple "test" using Sketchbook Mobile and a capacitive stylus: draw an X from corner to corner, write the name of the tablet, and maybe doodle a little. The results more or less speak for themselves, but in a nutshell: Prime is crap, TF300 is good, and TF700 is fantastic."

I'm still waiting on my hand stylus. If it doesn't work, I will probably end up giving it to one of my friends and getting a JOT. I want something I can write with to take notes and not have to carry a pad of paper with me.

Thanks for the article! Wow, the TF700 does look great compared to the prime. I'm having a hard time waiting for Note 10.1 reviews so I might just spring for the TF700.
The Jot looks great also, I have heard a lot of good things about it. Probably a worthy investment for my purposes.
