Hi,
I have the LG optimus LTE aka in the US as optimus Nitro. I was able to install the leaked version of ICS on my phone along with Root access. I am wondering how to go back to the stock OS? I read plenty and it seems that the recovery has been deleted. I can't download any custom ROMS and install since the recovery is missing. From what I understand I have to de-brick my phone. Anyone know how I can accomplish this? I have downloaded One-Click and it is not working
You can install recovery again. and instal any custom version is there is any.

Alright, I've got a rooted Samsung GT-S5660. with CWM, and it's running GB 2.3.4. Or the rooted equivalent of that I suppose. I'm pretty sure it's just the stock Rom. However I can't use rootanimation4u, so that I am able to just use "bootanimation.zip" files, my CWM won't flahs them, any Ideas on how to be able to work it so that I may use "bootanimation.zip"? My issue likes with "Rootanimation4U". Why won't it flash? I hadn't found anything in the thread about it saying that it wouldn't work on a Gingerbread phone. So that's where my curiosity lies. If needed I can post the code that CWM is displaying to help troubleshoot the problem.
What's up guys. I'm running into a problem and I need help. Google searching is failing me, but I'm sure there is probably a blatantly obvious way to do this.
I'm trying to install a Cm12 lolipop rom on my stump rooted tmobile Lg g3, but I dont know what to do.
I need a custom recovery but all of the ones I'm finding need a computer. All I have is my phone and my wifi. So where can I find and how do I install a custom recovery to install the rom?
Thanks for any help.
Hi, my name is Anthony and I have a T-Mobile S5 running the latest version of android (I think it's 5.0.1 or 5.0). I'm kinda a newb with flashing and rooting. I had my phone rooted using towel root a while ago, but I lost that root in an update and it is no longer supportive of my phone.
I'm looking to install custom roms but before I do so, I would like to make a full backup of my current stock touch wiz so I can revert to it in case I don't like the new rom. I also would like to root my phone. Oh, and before anyone tells me that I need to install Odin, I have a Mac running Yosemite.... A lot of people have told me that I need to install clock work in order for this whole process to work.
Recap:
1. Make backup rom
2. Root phone
3. Teach me how to flash roms using a Mac.
4. Include any other important info and links for downloads.
I mainly want to install CM12, but I still want a backup rom to revert to later
Thanks, and please don't post any hate
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Some pro tips, figure out how to use Odin. You'll need it eventually if you want to root and flash roms. Either in a Windows vm or heimdall. If something goes wrong you'll need to flash the stock firmware.
There's a whole forum for your device,http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5. And the best place to ask your specific question is here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-galaxy-s5/help

Hi everyone ,
I have a hipstreet 7DTB25 i manage to root it using kingo root (1 clic tool) and to remove the kingo super user to replace it by SuperSU. But now im facing a problem i want to install a custom rom but even after searching google ,xda and cyanogen website im still mystified. I got a couple question :
1) Is there a compatible rom with my device ? If yes, how can you tell?
i've looked to CM 11.0 M7 it is build on android 4.4.2 which my device runs on now (btw i dont trust it to be a clean install since there was a lolipop sticker covered by a kit kat one on the box ) ive search about it but it dont say nothing on my device, i try to look at cyanogenmod site but i've found nothing. And since i have really slow download speed and dont want to break my hardware for nothing i want to get informed before doing anything
2)Did using cwr (clockwork recovery) is correct to flash something on my device (if i could find anything to flash)
i've install it once was running great and making reboot in recovery so i suppose the answer to be yes but i dont really know ,the only weird thing i noticed was that i cannot back up anything
3)How can you tell if a website that offer custom rom are reliable? (Except xda, i know that one  )
4)If im not able at all to flash a custom rom is there a possibility of changing a stock rom to another?
Thanks
Hi, I bricked mine.. are you able to tell me where to get the ROM and twrp? Thanks.
ive never rooted a device before. starting from scratch. anybody want to coach me on this?
well what do you want. if you want to do pretty much anything that involves rooting, you have to get a custom recovery. now i dont know if you want to root only, or get a new rom
Question is why do you want to root ?
Rooting does nothing bar open sytsem files .
Rooting does not upgrade a stock rom .
Did you read the instructions for your device?
