Hey fellow xda members
I just Got An Atrix 2 A Month Back And Was Searching For A Gud Case as i felt my precious baby needed some premium care ... With the xda fellow membership suggestions and with little help from google i narrowed it to 3 cases
1) Otterbox communter
2) amzer shellster
3) speck
I finally zeroed to amzer shellster becasue
1)otterbox wasnt available locally and was kinda high investment for me
2)speck had white and pink which is girly imo
3)amzer was available locally and also seemed value for money
ORDER :
ordered amzer shellster from fommy.co.in 2 days ago and got it today .. it costed me 849 INR ( approx 15$ with shipping) .. sounded a sweet deal
Recieved it today morning (that was fast) .. packing was pretty gud with a bubble wrap .. package contained nothing loud unlike some other brands

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS :
first things first .. i slid my atrix two into the case .. voila .. amazing fit .. no hassle's on this issue .. the back rugged texture gave me more grip to hold on
and i felt the premium finish of the case .. and most of all it didnt make my atrix 2 bulky as hell .. it was like a barely there case
USAGE :
All the ports and buttons are easily accessible through the snap on case without any sort of problem and the case doesnt even add much weight too .. i wouldnt mind adding little bit of weight for the xtra protection of my phone
the case seemed like it can take a few drops without any hiccups .. hard plastic yet rubbery type grip
coming to the holster which i intend not to use .. its slightly bigger than the phone as it ought to be to hold the phone .. it has a soft cloth towards the inside which protects ur screen from any kinda scratches and the belt clip which is about an inch long
also doubles as a stand .. btw it has a cool amzer logo on it the belt clip adds as a stand which is really plus point for ppl who watch movies on their atrix 2 ..the only reason im boycotting this holster is that it adds much bulkiness to my phone and i dun like
hanging cell to my belts.. i feel it rather comfortable in my pocket
FINAL WORDS :
If u are looking for good value for money case then amzer shellster it is .. doesnt burn ur pockets .. premium quality protection at an affordable price .. service from fommy.co.in was excellent
PS : Im a newbie here and this is my first review ever .. leave ur comments
if u like plz show it by the thanks buttons :good: .. it means a lot to me:angel:
I told ya bro!
Nice review.. i still carry the holster to my work place. I put my mobile in it with the display facing me, put it on my desk with the stand, yeah little uncomfortable when answering the calls, but i only get couple of calls.. this way i can check mails messages and notifications better!!

Can u post a shot of that ?

I cant take a pic at this moment, but it would look something like this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1119961&d=1339344764
and let me tell you something, for the first few occasions, the mobile slides in very hardly and wont come out that easy
but after 4-5 times it wont be that hard to put and pull it back..
Here's the funny thing, i broke the holster trying to put it the way described before..
I wasnt that careful sliding it in.. and fommy's return policy is the worst i have seen, so forget that and scratch my previous post.

And again, the shellcase is fine, so.. not much of a loss i guese

Currently using the bodyglove case that t-mo sells. I really don't like it. Anybody know of anyone else selling a good case for our phone?
Yeah, I haven't found a good one either. Maybe online...

hard to find a good one...
I haven't found one either, ordered one online but it makes the phone look chunky and it hits the keys when I open/close the screen part (it was cheap)
I suggest using the "skinz" stuff people sell for phones. It's made out of 3m control tac which is actually really durable. I work with the stuff so I put some on my battery cover and it works great, not too slippery and protects from scratches, I've seen a few people selling on amazon for the sk4g that's how I got the idea.
If you want to protect your phone without using a bulky cover or one that doesn't fit your phone quite right than I highly recommend Phantom Skinz.
I have had one on my T-Mobile G2 for 6 months, fitted it myself and haven't had any issues with it and it looks great. I'm currently looking at getting my partner a T-Mobile Sidekick 4G from the US as shes had it with her Samsung Galaxy S and will more than likely buy her a Phantom Skin at the same time.
http://phantomskinz.com/samsungsidekick4gchromatics.aspx
Also I'm fairly sure it comes with a couple of free really nice screen protectors.
Im waiting for otterbox to come up with a solution. I wasnt pleased with the answer when I asked the invisible shield kiosk if they carried a screen for the SK4 either.. they said they dont have it yet and they cant just 'cut a bigger one down' because it voids the warranty.. I may still cut one down from the spare one I had from my galaxyS
I WANT A ****ING GUCCI CASE!
OR AT LEAST LOUIS VIUITTON!
but I guess I'll settle for YSL. IF IT EVER ****ING COMES OUT!
I'm cutting one too
Is the body glove with the stand any good?

I don't use a case for mine.. it's already bulky as it is. I do recommend using a screen protector - the one t-mobile sells works perfectly fine, except that at the top where the LEDs are there is an unremovable bubble. It was 15 dollars for two protectors - a little expensive but compared to how much the phone costs it's well worth it. I guess you can buy some online but I didn't want to wait
i got two hard shell cases on ebay, one for my wife and one for myself. we both have the sk4g. i paid 3.95 for one and 4.95 for the other. cant remember which cost what, but mine is black and my wifes has designs, that could have something to do with the price difference. they do scrape the keys when opening/closing the screen, but for what i paid, not complaining. phone still fits in my pouch with the shell, so it works for me. i dont have a link, but the seller was ZyDistro. fast shipping, too. ordered on wednesday, shipped thursday, got here saturday from california.
I just bought 2 cases this weekend via Amazon. Several styles are only $1!!! I got Body Glove for me and Pink rubberized case for my wife.
Sorry to revive something that hasn't been poked in a while but I have an SK4G I bought from my sister and her friend and the hardcase they gave me with it is very smooth and has hearts and butterflies on it (Not saying it's not cool looking but it makes me look a little immasculine. I never go around without my phone in a case due to a few other phones being just fine until that one drop just completely screws it up. I would like a new case that feels nice, protects the phone and looks good, I tried looking for an otterbox but the one I saw was just a box to put your phone in, not very accessible or keyboard friendly at all. So what can I do for this?
Just keep rockin the butterflys yo lol i been using the same black rubber gel type case tbey had at the tmo store when i bought this junk phone.its ok, got a lil loose after a year. just ordered what appears to be the same type off amazon but in blue and white. Thinking about that plastic case work the part that goes over the screen and just using that part with the gel case.but I'm with the comment above, anyone use that bodyglove with the kick stand? I got something similar for one of my s2 kick is nice but the case sucks.no protection and actually has killed the edges of my s2.and its fugly to boot

Check out ebay, they have a bunch in different styles and colors. I bought a few different kinds before I found one I liked. They are as cheap and a few dollars.
the case that covers the backside and around the phone is impossible to remove without this tool XP, so instead of using this piece, I see the belt clip case, but keep the one on the screen

hello XDA.!!! well i just got in my mail today my skinomi techskin black carbon fiber skin and thought i might as well show you guys if anybody is interested in buying this skin ( comes with screen protector as well). as you can see i didn't cover up the with google (just to see how it looks).
The skin itself feels good in hand and the carbon fiber skin has a cool effect when put in sunlight. The skin doesn't add any bulk well maybe just like a little little you cant feel it at all. the little pieces that go around the phone where the hardest ones to put on the phone since it was hard lining them up so they wouldn't over lap each other. the carbon fiber skin also included there screen protector( like invisible shield). i have used there screen protectors before on my mytouch 4g and i really liked there screen protectors and how they felt. they do get the orange peel effect but let it sit there for maybe a whole night or 2 and it should look clear and good. overall im content with my purchase it was 25.50 in total i believe with shipping included its not a cheap skin but i think its worth it if you would like to make your g2x look sexy. my rating from 1-10 is a solid 9 for the fact that its kind of difficult to put on but with patience an empty room, no kids screaming , little bit of music, and around 30 minutes of your time you should be solid. to conclude its a great skin will prevent scratches on the back, sides , and screen but will not prevent screen cracks or anything of that sort since ITS NOT A CASE. Well hope you understood my review since its my first one.
oh and you can pick this up from amazon or skinomi website.
well heres the package you receive in the mail.

and heres how it looks like when you take it out.
Whats inside the tube.
well the installation of this skin was rating from dificult level 1-5 i rate a 4 because its a really sticky material (3m material) so it took me about 15 min to do the back just right. even tho i tried my best i know i messed up a little.
heres a look of the back.
another look.
Heres the final skin put on the phone and the rest of the pics. Taken with my dads blackberry sucky pics i know.
Thanks for the great review with pics.
Do you think it would be difficult to remove this skin after some time without actually causing some superficial damage to the stock body?

This skin is pretty cool stuff. With patience you get a perfect result! Minor gaps between the single foils, however, it feels worthy and the device is nicely protected without loosing its sleek design.
Perfect for me!
No additional case needed. I am keeping the Phone in my trouserpockets without worries.

It's really worth it. It gives a nice look and feel to it and it protects from scratches. I say you grab one they have life time warranty.

I picked up the dark wood grain pattern skinomi when i first got my g2x. So far i'm two months in and pleasantly surprised. it's a lot of moolah for a skin if you ask me, but the lifetime warranty sold me on it. It is one of the more difficult ones i've put on, but the pieces fit ok. Had a bit of trouble with the corners coming unstuck, but a few minutes of pressure secured them. I would definitely suggest a clear hard case to go over the skin if you are one to keep it in your pocket. Otherwise, you will get bits of lint/dirt stuck around the edges and it is unseemly. just my $.02, but if you've got the dough to blow (i used a gift card) then give it a shot.
I'll most likely order this once I recieve my replacement G2X.

There are no videos or reviews on the internet of it. If anyone has this case, please post pictures.
I'm a little hesitant on buying this because i don't know how long i will have the sensation because of the One S.
wooo it loooooks sooo coool. found two reviews and they say that the charging port hole is too small. other than that its awesome.
I have this case. I love it. Feels nicer in the hand. Charging port is tight but it will fit. and it attracts quite a bit of lint.
All in all Its a good case.
Sent from my Sensation 4G using XDA
I've also got this case- looks really cool but found it hard to access the charging port.
Also though the texture was good in the hand and felt quite non-slip it made it difficult getting it in and out of tight jean pockets.
Attracted a lot of lint too.
Changed back to my casemate pretty quickly, really love the way it looks but all of the above my it a bit of a pain to use daily IMO.
Annoying that this one is the only one available for the sensation- there are lots of other cool ones in the range that fit the iPhone.
If I knew charging port is so uncomfortable - I would not buy.
Unfortunately, the coverage has been purchased, I will give it to a friend.
It is really narrow and difficult to use?
I bet you could take an x-acto to the charging port? If you're careful I bet it would work. And if you already have the case and aren't going to use it why not at least try to fix it so you can? If you mess up so what.
dremel out the port. tape it off first so you have a guide line.
make sure that when ever the phone is hot (playing games, charging) take the cover off. mine left stains on the back cover because it kind of melted from the heat and left those stains.
And for the charging port, the easiest solution for me is to use a Nokia cable it fits perfectly
Shame....it'd such a good looking case smh

Got the case in the mail today (ordered it after seeing this thread last week, so dolcedavinci gets a Thanks from me ). It looks awesome, which is what I like the most about it and the whole hard to reach charger port doesn't bother me.
And dolcedavinci, if you're still looking for photos (it's been a couple of days since the thread was started) - or anyone else for that matter - check out how it looks on my phone in the attachments.
thanks

I also bought a Zagg InvisibleSHIELD Screen Protector Full Body Guard OEM for $17,53.
I want a very good case to protect my phone without adding too much bulk and weight and also good grip. Because the phone is so slippy. Regarding the protector screen, I want one anti-glare and anti-fingerprint. Both items are suppose to delivery soon next week.
The question : DID I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE?
Well since you already bought them, how about you tell us, when they arrive?
I bought the trident kraken case for the one s and it left my up volume button u usable. I sent it back and then it was the bottom volume that didn't want to work. Hope yours works better

I'm not sure, but I think the case make my phone reboots itself sometimes.
Sent from my HTC One S using xda app-developers app
It quite possible. Its not made for the phones buttons very well
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
It really depends if you want the Zagg on it or not.. I use a Trident Aegis since I got my phone and it works well still.. the plastic is cracking around the headphone port and power button but that's expected I guess since it's so thin there and also the cover for the usb port is starting to break off...
But the Zagg, I dunno.. I never liked having a screen protector on it. It doens't really help much. Anti-glare won't do much good since you can't see the phone in bright light anyway without fiddling with your brightness and wiping the screen for fingerprints isn't that hard...
I received the Zagg screen protector and the feeling when I touch the screen is quite different. I put the body protection on the back plus the Trident Aegis case. I hope the combinaison of both is the best protection for my phone. Since my phone has already some scratches.

Yeah and it will probably get some more over time.
But seriously, so what? It is just a phone which is meant to be used and a couple scratches won't hurt it. Plus, you won't see most scratches on the screen when it's turned on anyways.
I never understood people, who want the slimmest phone on the market and put a thick case around it....

When I choose the HTC One S, I never thought about his slim body. I had a used Samsung Galaxy SII with the screen broken because it fell down on tiles and my old phone lagged. I upgraded my phone and choose a HTC phone because its made in Taiwan which is my native country. I'm proud to be Taiwanese. Because I'm so clumsy, my HTC One S fell down one day after I bought it. It let the body some scratches on his sides. The screen is still intact and has no any scratche.
So my choice is a silicon Bumper and a screen foil even its gorilla glass 3.

I like my phone naked. No screen protector will feel as nice as gorillas glass 3.
For my nexus 4 I have the DBrand skin at the back. Too bad they didn't have a skin for the Moto G, only for the Moto X.
Picture taken from here
Keep in mind this is an $150 product; people are putting way too much protection/focus on cell phones these days
Using an S-Wave TPU Case + a matte screen protector cut by those local cellphone servicing shops here, since I didn't have a pre-cut SP. I'll probably get a proper SP soon or tempered glass.
some rant here:
Bought my Moto G from an online gray market, was a bit sad that it had a minuscule "s" scratch if light is shown at the right angles, since it was sold as brand new. That being said, I would like this phone to last for a while, and of course would want ample protection. That, and it took me a while to save up $150, being a college student. Of course, the phone's been only with me for a week. I'll get over it.

Dropping your phone doesn't mean you lack common sense, it's an accident that can happen to anyone.
I use a lovely baby blue flip cover that sleeps/wakes the phone for me and I LOVE it
Aegis Trident case
I am using Incipio Dual Pro case. I do not use a screen protector, the disadvantage of getting a bad touch control, reflection etc. is in my opinion not worth the trouble on nowadays Gorilla screens..........
I always use (for every android phone) some rubber-or-whatever-material case (http://images.esellerpro.com/2477/I/692/019/BLACK-02.JPG) and some cheap screen protector. Working fine always even when phone falls or whatever ...
