I wanted to know if it is possible to share internet from laptop to tornado through bluetooth. I know about ICS but when I click, I get the screen like this:
What should be the "Network Connection" ?
Has any one succeeded in this type of setup. I am using WM6.1 by GnatGoSplat. Thank you.

Hey I am just learning the basics of smartphones. And I switched from Windows Mobile to my new Samsung Android. Anyways my question is: I have an old HTC Pure. I was wondering if I can use the phone as a wireless router. Use it to get the wifi signal and then connect it to my pc via usb and use the wifi to go on the internet on my pc.
Here are the basics. I have a PC in a room with no phone jack and the pc has no bluetooth or wifi. So I was wondering if I can connect my HTC Pure via usb and use the pure's wifi to brosw the web.

yes u can do it by using reverse tether.apk application where you can share pc internet connection with mobile
I am using Htc desire s with original 4.0.4. Ics Ruu available from the htcdev.com site. Whenever I connect Internet passthrough with my pc broadband connection, the mobile shows internet passthrough connected but when i try to open playstore or browser or any internet related apps, it doesn't seems to work. Please help

You must install htc sync to use your PC Internet Connection on your phone

Dude Htc Sync is already installed.Anyway I found out a way myself. I just clicked properties of my pc internet connection and clicked on d share tab. I checked the conn sharing option and in the advanced settings i added another service with mobile connection name(i.e. in my case Local Area Connection 2) and it worked....by the way thanks for your concern

Can u tell which pc internet connection u click. I m connect via wifi and want to use internet through pc.

ankur3020, Please kindly give me step by step how you connected to internet using pass thru. I have the same problem where my sycn works and pass-thru is active but I cant connect to internet. Thank you very much

Me too was having the same problem
I solved it by disabling and enabling the network adapter of "HTC Remote NDIS based Device" or something similar to that, but you have to first configure your firewall or disable it for testing.
