I am wondering if there is a way to share PC internet connection with mobile using USB.
I have searched in many forum and I did not get a proper explanation or process.
Any help with this would be most appreciated.

I am using i-mate jama and when i try to connect internet via shared internet connection limited or no connectivity comes any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.
If you mean you are trying to use the net from your phone to allow your computer to connect to the net then Try using pdanet to connect to the net, as your carrier might be disabling using the shared internet connection.

Hello, I am using the HTC tytn with an internet connection through a MacBook Air. Is there a Mac version available for using the HTC device as a modem for my MacBook?
Does anyone know how i can connect using my prophet to my desktop adhoc internet shaing?
Is there any specific setting?
I tried connect with my N93i to my desktop ad-hoc and it has no problem wif internet surfing.. but once i try on my prophet it fail to let me use the internet (at 1st the Wifi connect was connected, once i start to go to google page, it cut off automatically.. repeated many times still can't get it thru)

are you trying to access your computers internet connection from your ppc or the other way around... i'm confused.
Ad-hoc means "for a specific purpose" you never really told us what purpose
i'm trying to access my desktop internet connection using ad hoc.. i set everythg on desktop, but jus can't connet to it using my prophet
You need to tell activesync (or wmdc) to allow your phone to access the internet connection on your desktop.
can't i jus skip the WMDC part and connect using wifi only to the ad-hoc?

Today I read an article about "How To Use Laptop’s Internet on Android Phone via Wifi". Hotspot app is needed to do this. My question is: does it need to root the phone? I have a desktop (Win7), not laptop. If I use portable WiFi device/ adapter, will it work to do this?

See, if you are using desktop.. You need wifi adapter..
But, I recommend you to get Wifi Router instead of adapter as you'll need to keep PC on in order to use internet on mobile and there is price difference of only Rs 400-500 in adapter and router..
Setting up router is easy while setting up internet connection on adapter is little bit tricky. You get some instruction manual with the adapter to help you out..
