I am using Htc desire s with original 4.0.4. Ics Ruu available from the htcdev.com site. Whenever I connect Internet passthrough with my pc broadband connection, the mobile shows internet passthrough connected but when i try to open playstore or browser or any internet related apps, it doesn't seems to work. Please help

Dude Htc Sync is already installed.Anyway I found out a way myself. I just clicked properties of my pc internet connection and clicked on d share tab. I checked the conn sharing option and in the advanced settings i added another service with mobile connection name(i.e. in my case Local Area Connection 2) and it worked....by the way thanks for your concern

Me too was having the same problem
I solved it by disabling and enabling the network adapter of "HTC Remote NDIS based Device" or something similar to that, but you have to first configure your firewall or disable it for testing.

hey buddy, you need to have data connection on, when you connect your phone via usb and internet sharing enable. Make sure you have tmo's proxy configured in your T-Mobile Data Connection.

you need to connect the phone to your computer via bluetooth and your computer will see the phone as a modem then setup the a new connection with the phone and voila.
I am using usb cable to connect it. I am running NBD 8.2.
not sure how to make it work on the cable but with 8.2 you should be able to connect the phone to the PC and turn on dialup networking via serial port over bluetooth

I never tried this before. I will try it tonight.
You have to set up the same proxy server in your web browser on your laptop as the one you have set up for the t-mobile internet on your phone.
Not sure really if its different for T-Mobile or not but i'm with Cingular and I use my wizard as my primary internet source for my desktop. Connect your phone via USB, let AS connect, then turn on internet sharing. It'll disconnect AS and display on internet sharing if its connected or not. Hopefully this helps.

No problem, glad I could help. I figured that out a few weeks ago the day after I got back from a business trip where I stayed in hotel that didn't have an internet connection and no wifi spots anywhere close. Wish I had thought to try that sooner.

Earlier i used to access internet through activesync in my Vox...but after a year..after some new ROM flashings...I forgot the settings..
Can anybody post the settings on how to do it..?

Hi I have 2 question for you
1.is possible to share wifi connection to laptop with "usb to pc" or is it only possible with gprs?
2.How can I share my wifi internet connection using an ad-hoc network from my vista laptop..S710 connect to it but IE gives me an error message when I try to browse the web

i have a wi fi router and i connect to it through my lab-top but when i connect to it from my htc hd2 i can't open a link or i can't go into any website on the internet
i mean my mobile doesn't connect to the internet with any wifi connection
Make sure you are actually connected andnot just viewing available connections.

be sure not to have connected your mobile to your laptop via USB cable. If so disconnect it.
try setting static ip on your hd2
look i found that when i connect to the router it can open internet sites
but i have a DSL caple and i have a wifi access point
when i connect to it with my phone it show me on the phone that it is connected to it but i cant open any site on phone
did you try connecting any other phone or device rather than your labtop to this access point ?
can you confirm that the phone is correctly connected to the Router via the router administration page ?
are you sure that you do not have any extra WI-FI security that would be the cause of this connection issue ?

Hi guys, I need to connect my phone to my laptop via Bluetooth to share internet but windows can't find the correct driver to install. Its driving me insane!
It connects to the phone as I enter the code windows generates, but it fails to install the driver after that.
I tried USB tethering , its sets up the adaptor and it has an IP etc but NO INTERNET connection.
