and that would be (H boot 1.45.0013) am i correct??

That was mine. I kept stock with all the OTAs until I rooted about three weeks ago. And I've not seen mention of any other later stock HBOOTs.
This HBOOT also changed the way people had to go to get root and S-OFF, which has caused so many issues and misunderstandings if you've seen the recent posts! So clean and up-to-date instructions for this HBOOT would help here, even if there were something buried for macs back in the annals..

[Q] samsung galaxy s4g brick help

alright so i had one of my friends who has the vibrant on tmobile help me root and install darkys rom on my phone. since i had no idea i just let him do it since he has it on his phone. we rooted it use the onesuperclick. we took off the bloatwear and then put the rom on the sd card loaded it up in recovery and did the recovery then installed it. my phone hard bricked. nothing comes up or no download mood nothing even when pluged. but no worries i just send it to tmobile. but i wanna know if anyone can give me a guide to do this step by step so it dosent happen again when i get my phone back. thanks
The vibrant roms do not work on the 4g....until they are ported to 4g with the proper mods made to the rom they will cause a brick everytime
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
1. no matter how much it looks like it, the s4g isn't a vibrant. there are as of yet no custom roms available.
2. people like you and your friend are the reason carriers and manufacturers are going towards more restrictive ability to root and signed/encrypted bootloaders
theirs no roms for the 4g?

i had the same hard brick problem as above but for me it was weird. all i wanted at the time was to get rid of the bloat where and i did after which i unrooted and the phone worked fine. the weird thing is later i went in to download mode by accident and before i could do anything the phone was bricked. tmobile replaced My phone but if this has happened to anyone else please reply

The two phones ARE COMPLETELY different. It is possible though... but it would require heavy editing of the kernel so it would work with our specific hardware. It's that same as asking someone to port a ROM from the Galaxy S II. Impossible without a bootloader unlock (which thankfully we at least have a bypass).
Correct me if I'm wrong

We are working on the issues with kexec. I am hopeful that we can fix the 1 CPU issue, but we need to figure out a couple other issues before we can fix that.
My wife has a atrix 4g and after messing around with her phone i would not want to run a port off of it. I like my phone better so I'll stick with the roms we have.

[Q] Official ICS Kies Update. Is it really out?

Is it true that the official ICS for the Skyrocket is out via Kies? I don't want to go through all the trouble to figure out how to update using Kies with SpoofFW (which isn't working, no Product Code) and all that if it's not really out.
But if it is out, is it somewhere that I can install it using Odin? I'm not able to find it anywhere.
I've not tried it, but will Kies work if I flash 2.3.5? It's saying my phone isn't supported as it is. I'm guessing because it's rooted.
Suggestions? I'm running Embryo 4.0.4 right now and it's pretty good but I wanted to check out the official release.
No
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
It is not out yet, but it is likely that it will be pushed out by Kies because that's how the I777 was updated. Don't stop checking if you got an unrooted 2.3.5 or 2.3.6.

I looked at some threads and came across old stuff. I find stuff on the web that says it's out, but I don't feel like reverting back to an old version of droid just to check.
Here's a couple of places I've found that says it's out.

But I may be mistaken here. Unless there's a difference between the Skyrocket and the standard S2. I thought the only difference was the clock speed. I thought the ROMs I have installed were for the S2 and Skyrocket. Hmmm
It isnt out for the Skyrocket yet just the Galaxy S II.. we are still unaware when and how the update will be done :/

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Stellar

I cant find anything for this phone. I ordered online, because I need a new phone. My HTC Inspire is acting crazy, and I moved to an area where AT&T has crap service, so I am switching to Verizon. Is there anyone working on root, or anything for this phone yet?
I Googled it, looked around some and I saw a few posts about xda. They said that xda devs would probably work on a JB port soon but that doesn't mean anything. It looks like a nice phone though and if you ask me, it will probably have a few devs for it at least.
sent from my captivate glide running ICS (NardROM 0.4 Rooted)
For the price, free with contract, it has a good set of features. The only thing I think I wont really care for is the camera, but you get what you pay for. I was just hoping there would be a root guide for it, and maybe a rom or 2 before I got it in. When I got my Inspire I had it rooted, and a new rom flashed within an hour of getting it.
Well rooting should be easy. Get CWMR on the phone and flash Superuser.zip as for ROMs, I could make a few changes to stock for you.
sent from my captivate glide running ICS (NardROM 0.4 Rooted)
I get the phone in tomorrow. I may have to ask for some help. I have been a little spoiled with my rooting in the past. With both my Captivate, and Inspire basically I just had to hook them up to the computer hit couple buttons, and CWM, and SU were both flashed for me. I haven't have to flash CWM myself before.
CWM is easy, just flash through Odin. Then flash Superuser through CWM. PM me and I'll help in detail.

Just an update. I got root by following this right here: http://androidforums.com/galaxy-stellar-4g-lte-all-things-root/619913-how-root-samsung-stellar.html
I am looking forward to devs backing this device, and giving me some awesome ROM experiences. I really needed root, as soon as I booted it, and saw all the bloatware, I was like, nope this has gotta go! I only achieved root, didn't attempt the recoveries from the SGS3 thread, but this will do for now I guess, lol.

I have had my Stellar for about 7 months now. It has been a reliable device, with the exception of the camera. Well lighted, and outdoor shots look nice. Indoor shots is another story, only due to a lack of a flash on the camera.I am awaiting the S4, then I am going to attempt to root the Stellar, for now I am scared to brick the phone.
I rooted my Galaxy Stellar, it was very easy and I didn't brick it. The whole process to root only takes about 15 minutes then your goods to go. If your still interested in rooting your Galaxy Stellar then message me back and I'll give you a link to the site that helped me root my phone.

By knowing at least the basics and simple stuff. I'm not a root user but one I've seen on this forum a couple times is people having bricked their phones trying to install something made for the regular S2 on the Skyrocket. So as long as you're not an idiot you should be okay.

Kind of sad that that needs to be said...I777 and I727 are NOT cross-compatible.
Sent from my SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
Exactly research is the key if you really dont know what the hell your doing then dont do it as for help if need be youtube! google other device that are similar and see how things are flashed **this doesnt mean to flash those files but simply to understand how its done if your a visual person** XDA is all about being self sufficient however there are people who were or still are NOOBS lol but at least have been in your boat to understand if you need a helping hand and are willing to help you
The 100% sure way not to brick is do not mess with things you know little to nothing about. No flash = no brick. If your gonna flash anything read read and read some more. Google knows all and is your best friend. Search and research. I'm a computer programmer and networker and still didn't feel comfortable flashing my phone until I did extensive research. About a week of reading and compiling as much info as possible....
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
These suggestions are great and all but the best piece of advice that anyone can give you is:
Make sure you do it while you are still awake, if you are sleepy when you try flashing new stuff, odds are you are going to mess it up royally.
Do it while you have lots of energy in order to make the right *educated* decisions and to be able to pay attention in great detail to what you are doing.
