I didnt see anything regarding this and i have been searching and searching how to get this done. Some might say turning 4g off on this phone ruins it. Personally I only use 4G when i need it. Otherwise i want to be on 3G to save battery and data usage.

For me, this app is less steps. I'm using nova launcher, so I just put the app on my screen and then edited the icon with the LTE onoff icon. now it is as if I never lost my LTEonoff, so I prefer this method.

if you are using nova launcher follow these steps:
open up google and seach for any icon you want.
Example
:keyword search: LTEonoff icon
-open in full view
-long press and save image
Open app drawer and long press on "phone info" app to get on screen you want.
-long press on the phone info app and "edit"
-tap on the icon that is shown. this will open up your images in your gallery. go to the downloaded LTEonoff icon. It will then promt you to size the icon. Just pull the boxes out to surround the image and press done. this will bring you back to the edit icon but with the new icon. press done and there you go! you can do this with ANY icon on your screen.

Same. I think the option was removed. I really wish there was a way but I don't think there is.
Called verizon and was told to bring phone to store so they can flash back the option to turn off 4g only sinve jb update disabled it.
Its verizons way of probably gettin ppl off the 3g network....bastards
I use phone info all the time to switch to 3g. The option is still there in phone info. To turn 4g back on though you have to do it thru the phones settings, system settings > more settings > mobile networks > network mode. And pick global or lte/cdma
in phone info > device info....

Awesome man, that's perfect. Now I just have to figure out how to get rid of the carrier label altogether . Any ideas? BTW, how'd you change your font?
I use the liberty 1.5 rom, it has a bunch of options for fonts and lets you change the carrier name out to whatever you want. So far its been very stable for me and much quicker than stock.
Sent from my DROIDX using XDA App
Yeah, I saw the font options, but I'm not sure what adding a font does.. for instance, what'd you do in the toolbox that sets the widget font?
And I'm not talking about changing the text, I'd like to find a way to remove that whole bar, 'cause it just takes up space. I think you can do it in stock.. it's called a "roaming banner" i think
Changing the font effects all the text, everything from Widgets to menus to even the text on most websites in the default browser. It even changed the font in my clock widget. As far as removing the carrier label on the notifications I'm not sure how to remove that waste of space. I never looked into it but now since you mentioned it it's bugging me too. Let me know if you do find a way to remove it.

You long press on the home screen and select add widget like you would when adding a widget to the home screen, select widgetsoid then select a switcher widget. Pick the options you want it to have then go to the advanced tab and select both notification and make invisable. Click apply and it should now show up in the notifications bar. If you want to edit it just open widgetsroid and it will be in the widget tab. Hope this helps.

Have you been able to figure out a way to move or resize the clear button yet? I really wish I could move it to the bottom of the notification bar. Better yet, I wish there was an app/widget that automatically cleared all new notifications. Been looking for something like that for months without any luck...
I'm racking my brain trying to find a working 4g toggle for Ginger 2.3.4.
Anyone know of one?
Bump. I'm looking for something too. Have tried several on the market... and no go.
Also kills me that 2.3.4 doesn't allow applications to automatically toggle GPS -- so lots of my tasker profiles aren't working.
What I've been doing to turn 4G on and off is, I have Bar Control (on market) set up -- adds shortcuts to notification pull down. I add a shortcut to the 4G settings (first in the list). It's 2 clicks versus 1... better than going through 'Settings' for now.
I'm also looking for the same thing... and that matches the look of the stock 2.3

I purchased extended controls a long time ago and SOME of those toggles work but it's buggy, of course no working 4G toggle....
What aggravates me is that the stock power controls works fine, and that Google didn't add a 4G toggle to it.
I also noticed no gps toggle widgets work either. Only the default power control toggle works for gps.

The reason none of you have found a way to get a 4G toggle working/created for the NS4G is because Samsung has not released the API to access the 4G radio on their hardware.
See similar threads in the Epic 4G forum.

For what it's worth, since there's another thread almost identical to this in the themes section, I'm gonna paste a post i just made there-- if it helps anyone trying to do this.
______________
This is only a little workaround until we get the true notification toggles. This is not a toggle -- it's just a shortcut to the 4G settings screen. But still way easier.
When you load bar control, I'm pretty sure you choose that first 4G icon (with no icon). Selecting that puts it in your notification bar (second screen shot). Then, selecting it from your notification bar should bring you to the 3rd screen shot.
I'm still workin on a theme there.. so colors a little funky

If you're on a stock ROM, you can get rid of the icon, by replacing your systemui.apk with the one in this thread.
Alternatively, you could decompile the apk, delete the icon's png, recompile it and push it to your phone. That will let you keep any theming or other mods done to your systemui.apk. If you've never done any sort of theming or modification work before, it's a good one to start with, and to get your feet wet with apktool.

Yeah this is the method I used. It also frees up the space for other icons if needed (it does not retain the spot for the icon).
But note that when an OTA update comes it will likely fail since you tweaked the SystemUI.apk & your start up screen will also now likely show the Custom with lock icon.

As mentioned in my previous post, Team synergy made more options available in the MMS app. so if you are on stock, then you wouldn't see it.
however, i took the stock app apart and found the server listed there as well. so it has nothing to do with the synergy rom.
they just exposed more options for the app.

Sorry, android only allows system apps to change location settings.
GPS can be toggled in this app due to an exploit in the AOSP power-toggle-widget.
But for example on Samsung phones, this is not possible (samsung changed the widget settings).
I would if I could. Long click GPS icon will bring you to the location settings page, wich is still faster then browsing to it with the normal settings app.

Unfortunately, it's the same story as I wrote in my previous post.
Android restricts the toggling to system only. I'm not completely sure though, so I'll do some googling again.
Thanks anyway

In the new version is written, that the trial version is over. But there was never written that this is an trial version. There are only differences between the functions in the beta and the pro.
Wanted to test the app and than buy the pro, but not like this.

I got a suggestion, tell me if you like it (this will gold for all people):
-User will get a 4 day trial of all functions
-After 4 days, you won't be able to use Configure anymore, and the data already configured will be reset
-When you install the PRO version , everything will come back.
Deal or no deal?
Tell me if you have a suggestion too.
Desire HD with Sense 4.1
I have to tap on the quick settings shortcut on the home screen, otherwise the normal Sense notifications come.
Also, I have to press the back button to go back, swiping up doesnt work.
Didn't want to give a bad rating on Play Store so I posted here.
Thanks for the efforts though

Of course I like the app. I've written this as the first in this thread. But I don't like to pay to fast for an app. But the app is great and that is the reason i post this here and not in play store. Only sliding is missing. That's the thing i wait for.
Is it possible that i get a testers licence?

Sure it does. It's not a statusbar replacement, it just has a UI like it.
About swiping it up: I'm working on this, but bugfixes are more important in my opinion.
You can press the statusbar close shade anyway to close it, it'll do the same as the back button.
Thanks for not giving a bad rating!
Remeber, I'm always working on it. You may not feel it, but there are lot's of changes every update.

Yes it is.
I'm gonna need your device_id for that.
You can find your device_id by dialling *#*#8255#*#* (copy aid)
PM it to me and you'll receive the testers license.
Thanks.
Send u a pm...
Thanks.
it would be nice if we can swipe up to close the panel
by the way, I think the name is a bit too common and not distinguished
when I search "quick setting" on play store, a bunch of different apps come out and I cannot find yours
Hey ima buy the pro version if you include hide the icon in status bar and when status bar is expanded cus I found a way to toggle the settings just by gesture 2 fingers down. With tsf shell launcher thanks

Loving it so far. Add the option to hide the notification and it will be even better.
