2. whenever i listen radio it gets switch off automatically and i have to restart the radio again and again after several seconds. is it a bug if yes then is there any solution to this.
3. My another problem is whenever i click photographs and when Flash is on it shows red eye problem for the images clicked, is there any solution to avoid this.
4. sometimes i have problem pairng the devices when the bluetooth is on it always shows pairing for the device failed.
5. In my contact list also i have got my social network contacts added, is there any way to seprate them out.
6. i got system updates messages several time, i am afraid to do that as earlier when i did system update i was facing the problem of network signals and to give this to service center to fix it, please let me know if the recent updates does not have any bugs / issue so that it can save me from landing my phone to service center.
i would really appreciate if someone could throw some light and help me in resolving the above issues mentioned.
Thanks in advance.

1. Open Gallery app --> press the menu capacitive key --> disable the friends activity option (the first one).
2. It seems to be random issue, try restarting the mobile, if that doesn't try resetting (cleaning the cache may also help).
3. Unfortunately we do not have red eye reduction mode in our A2, so try image editing apps like picsart, which can easily remove the red eye. and on side note, i find the camera ics app way better than the stock camera app.
4. Make sure your device is discoverable, switching on the bluetooth is not enough, go into bluetooth settings and make sure that your mobile is in discoverable mode.
5. (copy pasted from internet)
1. Go into `Contacts` 2. Menu Button > Import/Export > Export to SD card 3. Menu Button > Accounts > Uncheck `Auto-sync` 4. Go back to home screens 5. Menu Button > Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All 6. Navigate to `Contacts Storage` 7. Clear Data 8. Go into contacts 9. Menu Button > Accounts > Facebook > remove account* 10. Menu Button > Import/Export > Import from SD card 11. Menu Button > Accounts > add account > Facebook 12. Choose option `Sync with existing contacts` *If you get an error then try force killing Social Networking, and trying again Menu Button > Settings > Applications > Running Processes > Social Networking
6. I am running on 55.28.37.MB865.AsiaRetail.en.03 and I did not face with any problems until now.. i believe this is the latest version for us.

On a side note and because i don't want to start a new thread as i believe this was more of a 'random' issue
yesterday when i was browsing the net and watching a video on the stock browser itself (just a normal 360p video) and the mobile restarted on its own. and at that time the mobile was considerably hot. I took out the battery let it a side for few minutes then put the battery back, switched it on, then started browsing and doing some stuff to see if it happens again, but until now, it stayed cool and didnt restart on its own.
With my previous experience with the HTC Desire, which pretty much started like this and now it's just a brick with faulty motherboard, i am little considered with the mobile.
My question is, does any one face with similar problem, does atrix 2 have the random rebooting issue? I tried to search here and as well as on the net but found the original atrix used to have similar issues but not he A2.
yes it does, the problem also occurred to me sometimes. it will hang and the randomly restart itself
Hmm.. if it throws up the same problem i am gonna straight away take it to the dreaded motorola service center..

Hi All,
This is the first time I have posted but have used this site to diagnose issues all the time so I thought I would give back to the community on what I have found to fix the dreaded Nexus 5 "Cannot connect to Camera" issue.
The day I brought this phone I thought it was one of the best devices around for money and the hardware was nothing to joke about, but over time the smaller cracks started to show which became quite a hassle such as Camera and Battery.
Camera Issues:
Cannot connect to Camera
Grey Screen with the image logo on it
After an hour or so the Camera cannot connect
Typical Fixes:
Clear Camera Cache (Temporary or no effect)
Reboot Phone (Temporary)
Uninstall software (Possible fix but at what cost)
Run in Safe Mode (Not of much use apart from diagnosing)
I have found most of these to be quite useless if not unproductive.
So a brief history on what I have found with the Nexus 5 Camera, it appears that when Google partnered up with LG to design this phone they skimped on a few things and unfortunately the Camera was one of them, its unclear whether this is a hardware or software issue but I have been able to solve it. I had googled dozens of pages read through hundreds if not thousands of comments and none have seemed to have fixed it permanently until now.
Common things that you will find when trying to find fixes for the Nexus 5 Camera.
So I have the following steps which should help you fix the camera issue and possibly battery life in one go!
1. First thing to do is to confirm its not a hardware/software (can it be fixed or do you need to return it for replacement) is to put it into Safe mode, to do this push and hold the power button till the "Power Off" menu come up and hold the soft button till you get the "Reboot to Safe Mode" (make sure you Camera cannot connect before doing this or you will be wasting your time).
2. Once in safe mode open up the camera app and see if it starts up, if it doesn't then its most likely a hardware issue and will need to be RMA'd and take a pic or two then just exit out by pressing the back button. next is to let it sit for an hour or so then try again (this will also check if its a bug in the ROM/Hardware). Chances are if you could get the camera working fine in safe mode it will continue to do so. If it fails check the rom or RMA.
3. If the Camera continues to work fine Reboot the phone into normal mode by just shutting it down and starting it back up. From here we can pretty much say its a software issue, now reading all these forums and comments it seems that it can be almost a dozen different apps that cause the camera to drop off and not reconnect, the resolution? App Ops (Unfortunately I cannot post the link but its not hard to find, search name exactly) this handy program lets you control the permissions for each individual application on your phone and the time they last accessed it, do note this does require ROOT access.
4. Next step is to run App Opps and go to the media tab, just note or take a screen shot of everything running, now go to the camera and take a picture and exit it via the back button and go do something for an hour or 2 or when you suspect the Camera to fail (best to not use your phone/camera during this time for more accurate diagnostics). After your break, test the camera, if it still works just take a break till it fails.
5. Now that the camera has failed go back to App Ops and check the media tab, you will see a list of programs that last tried to access you media hardware/software with a time and what they tried to access, in this instance mine was Viber, which tried to access the Camera in the last 10 minutes of it failing.
6. From here you want to go into the app in App Ops, scroll down to the setting that uses the camera and disable it (set it to off) this will prevent the application from using your camera without a manual input.
It doesn't prevent me from using the Camera in Viber but it does prevent Viber from automatically opening the Camera and then leaving it in an unusable state. I have had this going for about 2 days now and have been able to open my Camera up every single time and it also seems a lot more responsive.
It might take you a while to find out exactly which app it is but it will be well worth it to get the camera going like a normal smart phone should.
If you found this guide helpful please let others know and give some stars to App Ops for such a great program.
Tested on Stock Lollipop 5.0 but I do not see why it would not work for Kit Kat or Custom Rom's.
If you have any questions feel free to ask.
Battery Save?
Another thing I forgot to add in this is that App Ops also controls start up and keep awake applications, just like the Camera function you can disable the Keep awake and Auto start up applications to prevent unnecessary battery drain, I have managed to get it from 1.5% to 0.8% battery drain per hour while in sleep mode, of course this will only be effective if you have multiple programs which keep your phone awake (please note it may also stop notifications coming through so choose wisely what you disable).
Hi, I updated my HTC One M8 today (stock ROM) to Android 6 via an OTA update sent to the phone.
The update went fine - no error messages. But after the final reboot, I am getting constant (and I mean constant, not every few seconds) errors that all process are stopping. Particularly, after everything else has stopped, I get repeated messages about android.process.acore, android.process.media, Google Services Framework, and Google Play services unexpectedly stopping (I guess these are the ones that keep starting up and failing). By pressing "OK" or "close" on these messages, sometimes I can press something very quickly before another message pops up. In this ridiculous manner, I was able to do/find out the following:
- Pressing the home button shows me the white screen with "htc" written on it, like on phone startup
- Pressing the recent-apps button actually does show me the recent apps and I can click on them, though most of them just close right after I open them. Some work (like I can receive phone calls; I just don't hear the phone ring, and I have to press the "talk" button in between pressing OK on error messages)
- I can get into the settings screen. In this way, I tried:
- Disabling one by one every app I could - no help
- Clearing cache & data for all contact & calendar app I could find, and also for Google Services Framework
- I tried to remove my Google accounts from the "accounts and sync" menu, but whenever I press "Remove" it gives me the Google Services Framework has stopped error.
I also tried booting into the recovery screen and clearing the cache partition.
Nothing works!! Please can anyone help me save my phone without wiping it? Unfortunately, since I started the Android update by accident (pressed "now" instead of "later"), I didn't backup anything beforehand... and while my contacts and calendars are always backed up, my apps & preferences & media files are not. I also tried connecting to a computer via USB, but while the computer recognizes the phone, I cannot actually access the files (I see it as a drive, but when I open it there are no files or folders) - so no possibility to back up the files in that way...
Thank you!!

Original post:
"Hi all,
Been forever since I've made a post to XDA, but I have a problem I'm not able to solve without taking an inconvenient plunge. I should mention that my phone was 100% fine yesterday evening, but since I was asleep last night it seems to have run out of battery, so this morning I charged it a bit, then I turned it on to a world of problems.
Ok, so let me run through a list of just a handful of the problems I'm having right now...
Totally stock (not rooted) Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1 (Security: 1 March 2016)
1. Home and App switch soft keys don't work
2. Notifcations are not working at all
3. Notification shade wont pull down
4. Widgets cannot, and will not load
5. Cannot get into Developer options "Developer options are not available for this user"
Seems I'm not the only one to experience the strange bug, some folks over at Android Central were experiencing the exact same thing toward the end of last year.
http://forums.androidcentral.com/an...me-button-not-working-many-more-problems.html
Some people to have resolved this issue using "adb shell am start -n com.google.android.setupwizard/.SetupWizardTestActivity" but I cannot get into Developer options to turn on USB Debugging (unless I don't need to?)
What I've tried already...
1. Cleared all Google App data "CLEAR ALL DATA"
2. Tried to make another user, just flashes and goes back to "Opula" my main and broken user profile, never creates the other profile, same thing happens when I press on Guest too
3. Safe mode, but the problem persists there too
4. Virus scan, turned up a whole lot of nothing
I'm now at the point where I'm thinking I'm going to have to do a Factory data reset (the "inconvenient plunge"), even though I think I've backed everything up the "Touch to sync" option on my Account > Google doesn't do anything, neither does the "Sync now" from the drop down menu. So despite having explored my Google account on my desktop I cannot see if it has backed up my Apps and App data, but it seems to have backed up my contacts and such.
I'm going to get a third party app to back up as stuff as I possibly can as well, but even Helium is useless now since I cannot get into the Developer options so enable USB debugging.
Anyone got any experience with this issue or how to resolve it?
Many thanks to everyone in advance."
Hi all,
Just wanted to update this thread to say that I did a factory reset and the phone is now fixed, but I wouldn't to give a more comprehensive account of the problems I was experiencing with the phone until I did the factory reset.
List of problems
Home and app-switch soft keys not working (back key is working)
Google Now 'on tap' not appearing (cause of home key)
Cannot see notifications just says "No notifications" (but the light and sound work fine when a notification is received)
Cannot pull down notification shade to toggle controls
Widgets cannot be added and will not load
Cannot pull down the immersive mode overlay
Google Backup not working (after 8+ days)
All types of syncing not working
Phone's storage doesn't appear on PC when plugged in via USB
Cannot access developer options (due to active profile level)
Cannot create or switch users
The best advice I can give to mitigate such an unusual problem (that appeared totally out of the blue on a cold boot) is use Google Backup services, keep on top of syncing, and manage your data via your Google account! Or as an alternative, manage and maintain manual backups.
After running this build for few days, the overall performance seems to be a little bit better. However, after opening developer settings for the first time after update, system just reboots and goes back to lock screen.
The issue with fingerprint and default USB mode that resulted in bootloop is fixed but as I said, one last reboot may happen..
I didn't encounter the reboot after developer settings you did, but I did run into another issue, with the Bluetooth stack crashing when connecting to audio devices that do "HD Audio": https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-vision/help/bluetooth-audio-broken-psa29-160-50-t3977491 -- which I've reported to Motorola.
Motherboard problems
I had the same problem, turns out I had Motherboard problems, there were some settings in developer options that caused the phone to turn off, after a reboot it would not get passed the lock screen, turning off right after the first unlock, connecting my phone thru USB to a computer would allow me to get past the first unlock, then I reset my phone and did the same process 3 times, then I was sure what was causing it and how to, I sent my phone to Motorola and they sent it me back explaining what happened, it was the motherboard which encountered problems after changing some settings on developer options, now my phone is working again, even with the same options altered.

What options did you activate to trigger those reboots? My device is also suffering from random reboots, although it's a Motorola One Action.

Thanks for your reply. I tried that, but nothing happened. So Motorola apparently had fixed that on the Motorola Action.
In the meantime I realized, that my reboots were triggered by the system files I replaced, to root the device.
Hi All,
I've had the phone about 8 months, UK model.
About 2 months ago, when scrolling in Wikipedia pages on Chrome browser, the display would alternate between normal and blue light (eye comfort). It still does occasionally.
From a few weeks ago, the keyboard sometimes take about 10s to appear.
A few days ago when on voice call from the phone other person can't hear me but I can them while voice call on Whatsapp is fine both ways. Restarting phone seems to solved it for now.
Then yesterday while trying to access settings from either the home screen or app drawer, it fails but you can see its attempting to as you see the settings screen momentarily then a message comes up saying settings failed to start several times and whether to restore by clearing history. Doing that doesn't work. The only way that I can is to touch and hold the settings icon till the search option comes up and then type the particular setting I want.
Before I do anything to fix this, are these symptoms an indication the phone is on the way to a complete breakdown? Would it be a software problem and I suppose the 1st step to fix is factory reset.
Has anyone experience this on their phone?

Unfortunately it's the Oppo software that causes these issues... We hope we can unlock the bootloader soon and flash custom roms to remedy these problems since Oppo are just incompetent.
Chrome colour shift is fixed by typing into your chrome address bar and type: "chrome://flags" then search "Dynamic Color Gamut" and set it to disabled (or it was enabled, I forget since I didn't have the issue myself)
Oppo uses the wrong microphone on third party apps like whatsapp, signal, instagram etc. and we have to wait for an update to fix that. (Issue has been posted here before)
The rest of the issues you described sound like some software instability caused by the Android 11 update. You should save your data and do a factory reset.
If the issues persist after the reset and you didn't install any dodgy apps or modified the software using adb then consider sending the phone in for repair.
OK thanks for replies. So factory reset then...
