Dre Beats with SGS3

Just tried to use my Dre Beats (Lebron James) ear buds for phone use ... eh, its a no go. I have the studios as well but I have not tried them yet. Anyone else having this issue not being able to use Dre Beats for telephone calls?

Would it help to install the beats app from play store?

its not compatible with the GS3 so you have to find the apk and sideload it

pm beanstown he has it preloaded in his custom stock rom...

Oh I'm not rooted yet so no point... I was hoping that it would help worth the buttons on ibeats but I don't think that will. Honestly, coming from the rebound which had official beats audio I found it kind of pointless and most of my romsn it wasn't even working in

Strange since the phone comes with a wired headset so the support must be there. I assume the earbuds have a mic? I just tried my Sony earbuds and they seem to work fine. My guess is that it's something with the Beats that is causing the issue.
And since there are few to no other status symbol goods that spark things up as much as beats....

It's no status symbol when everyone and their mother has a pair. Then they're just headphones that sound like fart.

there is no possible reason whatsoever for them to not work. headphones are headphones, if it fits in the jack it will do the same thing as anything else, just with terrible sound quality.

Beats are all hype...i have a pair of klipsch s4's that cant be touched for the $.

The HTC Rezound works because Beats comes pre-loaded and the phone is even sold with a pair of beats headphones...

To all those that wonder how it sounds like:
- Nokia BT Stereo Headset: Just amazing with Beats and SRS, little less amazing with the other stuff.
- Sennheiser cheapo Headset: Cool with HTC enhancer and some of the normal presets. Beats not soo much.
- Car Stereo with 400watss quad amp and Rodek/Pioneer Speaker combo: not soo much amazing. Beats is quite OK though. But the system lacks quality so its natural its not having full capacity.
My summary: The Sh1t for earbuds, less efficient on bigger speakers. Amazing thing though.

Just installed on TrickDroid 8.0.0 and damn! Fantastic work my 40mm speaker head phones love it. And as said some options do have some distortion but lowering the volumes a step or two down clear it up

Hey my friend...first you seem to be having multiple problems...this....And in Rom thread that nobody else can reproduce...My suggestion full wipe and flash Rom and boot image...And 9 times out of 10 they will disappear!
2nd I understand why he posted that...You posted 2 honestly stupid questions almost in a row! Please read what others post once the thread gets rolling and read op thoroughly!

Yeah ok then say that you tested and found out that it doesn't work on 2.21 base for you.
Then the next step will be that Torxx might ask you some questions for more details and then we can officially confirm: not working on Base 2.21
For this to be possible you need to report which ROM you are on currently (here the radio is of no importance) and provide some other details that lets people understand your current environment and steps you did. Then there might be other people that will try to follow the steps you did and if they confirm your observations we have some facts.
Just like rushing in, saying it dont work on 2.21 and the radio and appearing all confused doesn't help much...
As i said: its not really about hating you or so but you do act a bit foolish sometimes. Sorry to be so blunt i fear i will hurt you with this but i need to say it anyway.
You can really be helpful if you stick to some basic try/observe/report rules.

Play some music and pull down notification bar and select the music notification. This opens the player in full screen mode, press menu and select Sound Enhancer.
When it pops open notice on the left near the top it says Sound Enhancer, press on that for various sound enhancements.

Ok mate once more. This is a new port and Torxx needs to correct possible errors which he can only fix if he knows where to look.

Alarm app for Sirius?

Has anyone found a good alarm app that will wake me up to the Sirius app? I tried a few, but none of them worked with Sirius. I can get them to work with Pandora, but not Sirius.

Alarm Clock Plus by Binary Tactics probably can. I use it but don't use it to launch apps, which it can do.

I tried Tasker too. Either I'm doing something wrong, or that doesn't work with Sirius either.

When you open the sirius app does it automatically start playing? If so, any profile program should work.
I use profile scheduler to automate my entire days schedule. Bluetooth on and off, wife, data, volume, brightness etc. Even have on that launches playerpro when I put it on a dock. Similar to Tasker but on a much simpler level.
Make a profile to launch sirius and adjust volumes etc and then make a rule to set if to start when ever you want to wake up.

Sirius does start playing when I open it. I created a profile to launch Sirius, then set a rule for it to start a few minutes from the time I created it. Nothing happened when it was set to go off.

I kind of have it working. Sirius comes on at the scheduled time, but I can only hear it if I unlock the phone. It's not playing with the screen locked.

I just tried it with Pandora. Same result, it only comes on when the screen is unlocked. If the screen is locked, it doesn't come on.

There was an app that I used a while back called easy profiles by smartdyne, it had lockscreen toggle ability in the profile options if I remember right. Maybe you could toggle off lockscreen right before waking up to sirius and then re toggle it afterwards. It's a good app, just not as visually appealing.
The free version is same as full, just a trial though.

[Q] question about native music player on embryo 7

So after having way too many 3rd party apps for everything, I tried giving the native apps a try. Things run soooo much smoother and more integrated now but am I missing something? Like, is there no rewind or skip backward function for the remote on the music player ? I've only gotten it to pause or play next track. I've tried all the players out there I think and this one seems more responsive, and does just about everything....Except rewind? Doesn't make sense to me but maybe I'm just being thick.

Are you talking about a tape player? Where's fast dub? Use the slider to rewind. And yes there is a previous track. Try using a different widget.

I don't know what you mean by tape player sorry. I also didn't say my question properly. I was talking about the fact that I can't get the remote in the earphones to do a rewind to the beginning/skip backwards through tracks by three clicks instead of the two clicks to skip forward a track or one click to pause. Yep. I'm using iphone ear pods and even though the volume doesn't work on android phones the center clicker does. It will already pause and skip forward with one and two clicks respectively.

There aren't many headphones that are android compatible as far as button control like you are wanting. It's not the music players fault.

I don't have a question about iPhone earpods working on an android device. I have a question about the native music player in mohans newest embryo rom.
I've had several music players from the android market that work perfectly using three clicks to rewind/skip backwards, and they were all on this same exact phone with the exact same earpods.
Anyway, this questions been up a while already so maybe I just need to deal. No biggie. Still an amazing rom.

It doesnt work for me... i even disabled/frozen the default musix fx using titanium backup....

EDIT:
after a few hours of testing I have to say it's not 100% on my device.
Tested on apollo/ google player/some others from play and it has a bug.the mod switch off randomly...it's fantastic when it works,but not perfect....

For better sound output, just adjust DSPMANAGER from application as per your requirement. It might be change your mood.
BTW, why I can't find Music effect from Setting.?

The best mod
This is the best mod. The used this mod on my Galaxy S3. After buy my S4 i instal S3 mod.v2 and work like charm. I not tested S4 version but i know this mod is the best.

@DeHuMaNiZeD do you face any issue with this on s3? Every second song it will work and every second song it will unload??

I tried flashing this mod on BatteryKing 4.8 and I can't notice any difference on both the samsung music player and Google play music. Does it only work on specific music players or does it only work on non-TW roms?

I really hope this gets fixed for S4 because I use it on my S3 and it improves the sound quality spevially the bass...

I have a few questions regarding this mod.
Some here says that it unloads, and that you can hear difference with the mod activated and not...
How do you activate/deactivate the mod?
Under settings, I have MusixFX and DSP, which should I choose? Does it make any difference?
With every mod I have tried (with dsp), there is a click in the headphones before the music plays, and there is a hiss in the background. It is so noticable that it outweighs any improvements I have tried. It is the same with this mod also.
If I uncheck everything under DSP Manager the hiss disappears, but have I then deactivated the mod?

Is this mod same or better quality then voodoo in i9000?
