Mounting phone with broken screen? - HTC One S

Hi guys,
I broke my T-Mo HTC One S screen (slammed the door on it), it has no touch response and I can't see anything on my screen.
Running Zydroid, rooted, USB debugging permissions.
I'm trying to copy the contents of the storage from my phone to my computer. Can anyone help?
I've tried various methods like adb pull /mnt/sdcard c:\phone (a directory I created). I don't get all the files that I want, just some random data.
Any help?

I'm not sure of the commands, but you should be able to mount the storage via adb commands. Do some googling I'm sure you'll find it somewhere.

I have. The closest thing is what I mentioned, or this:
adb shell /system/bin/sdutil ums enable
from: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/android-developers/SF17BLxh174
which only gives me
error: more than one device and emulator

Do we have a non touch recovery?
If so you could boot into recovery, and enable mounting using the volume keys and such.
How much of the screen can you see?

Isn't the original clockwork on the Ville? It's not a touch version.

Yes, there is a non touch CWM for the One S.

yup
http://download.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/
has the non-touch recoveries for the one s here

Unfortunately, I am running the CWM Touch Recovery. As far as my screen goes, I can't see anything anymore. It's all unviewable now. I tried "massaging" the screen back but it's completely gone now. I know it's on via the lights on my capacitive keys, but they are unresponsive.

Is the phone completely on? Can you get past PIN check/lockscreen? Its possible that the digitizer still works even if the display is dead. Anyway try installing https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.onaips.vnc on the phone from Play website and connect to it using a VNC viewer program on the PC.
Also I just tried
Code:
adb pull /sdcard/ .
on Ubuntu, it says building list or something for a while then starts copying. Replace the dot with the target folder on Windows. I'm up to 2 GB copied after 8 minutes, it started with the DCIM folder for some reason.
You can flash a new recovery should you need it via fastboot, with
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-whatever-version-ville.img

Did you get this working? I remember doing this on my desire and the messiest stuff was entering the PIN and unlocking the screen since the mouse wasn't playing nice

[Q] Have I found the Hard brick?

First off I have done some research on the subject amd have come to the conclusion that I borked this thing beyond my ability to fix it. The thread that makes me think I have a hard brick is http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=22897771 Brick 2.
Basically what happened is I flashed the us .29 update how I thought were the directions. By getting the update from Asus, then extracting it once (from the launcher.zip) to get the one ending In .29.zip. Then I put it on the internal sdcard and went into CWM and flashed it. As soon as it was done I rebooted and it went to the Asus splash with a loading bar so I figured I would do its thing. the bar was filled and disappeared but it went no further.
Now it's stuck at the Asus splash with the Tegra logo in the bottom right. If I reboot it goes straight back to that screen, and does NOT say "this device is unlocked" anywhere. I can NOT access fastboot from that screen (says waiting from device) and I do believe I can't access ADB, I think it displays a blank when I type adb devices. Just for clarity I was using ADB in CWM right before this happened, as well as fastboot as I had to put CWM on it. So I don't think it's drivers not letting me connect but I am going to check the when I get home.
So with all that said I'm pretty sure it's hard brick and I will most likely have too send it in for fixing. Anyone Had this problem yet? Is there a way to fix it that I have missed? when I get home from work I'm going to try some more.
Happened to me also..but had ADB while stuck at the logo and managed t push blob .17. That fixed it

You push that to the root of the internal sdcard? And what did you name the file? I would assume whatever it's named I'm the last zip. Assuming I have access to adb of course.

The issue I'm having though it's that when booted while connected to my computers is that there is no USB notification when it starts up and I can't find it in device manager.
Are the drivers to connect adb to CWM recovery different than the drivers I use while the tablets on and stuff. Be cause I did pull a file from CWM right before I bricked it, just a log file, nothing pertinent. And I might have had to install new driver for CWM

no I can't get into bout loader. It just brings me to the same Asus splash screen. And I'm fairly certain adb doesn't work. I'm going to try uninstalling my drivers and start from scratch but I'm not hopeful since I used adb before it happened.

Fastboot Problem

Hey, I seem to be having a problem with my One X. Every time I boot into fastboot, and have it connected to my computer, it's not picked up.
I type in fastboot devices and there is nothing. However, when I boot up normally, and type adb devices it picks it up no problem.
I'm sorry if I'm lacking details, but I'm not sure how else to explain it.
Make sure fastboot is enabled in the >settings>power menu
Make sure when you boot into bootloader you then select bootloader from the menu options then wait for device screen to read-fastboot usb.

I've done all that, and well, whenever I get into the bootloader, I select bootloader and it does read "fastoot usb" but my desktop never seems to pick it up.
I appreciate the help though!

Yes I do, and I seem to have found the solution. It seems as though when I was using my USB 3.0 slots, it wasn't picking it up, but now I switched it over to one of the standard 2.0 ones, it does.
Occam's razor, I suppose. I feel quite dumb now. :silly:
Glad u figured it out. I believe this is common through all devices but i never remember. Im looking for an expansion card to get usb 2.0 atm:beer:

HTC Inspire 4g stuck. Please Help

Hi, I tried flashing a new radio to my phone because the current one I had was draining battery really fast and I wasn't getting a good mobile connection. Well when I flashed it rebooted and it now it just stays stuck on the HTC screen. When I try to boot into recovery it just goes straight back to the HTC screen and stays stuck there.
Is there anything I can do about this?
Thank you.
What radio did you try flashing and by what method. Also have you tried a battery pull?

That is definitely not an inspire radio. It's really a bad idea to flash anything but inspire compatible radios. It's the one sure way to brick a device. Is the phone recognized by your pc when you plug it in while its on the HTC screen?

When I plug it into the computer it makes the sound that it's connected and then I think it disconnects really quick, but the device doesn't even show up at all on my computer
When I plug it into the computer on bootloader mode it says something like USB bootloader. So I'm guessing my PC is recognizing it.

Are you able to enter hboot at all or is that what you mean when you say you can't enter recovery? If you can still get into hboot load a PD98IMG of a compatible radio from radio thread onto sdcard and enter hboot and it will prompt you. If you can't get to hboot by volume down and power then see if adb will recognize the device by typing "adb devices". If it sees your phone type "adb reboot downloader" and select bootloader.

Well I would try and pushing the radio IMG contained in the PD98IMG via adb the same way you got the current one on there. But if your phone can't be accessed with adb then it may be bricked. Try adb from both the HTC screen and from bootloader to see if it will recognize it with the "adb devices" command. If it lists your device then you may be able to push the radio IMG.

Well I'm out of ideas. Maybe just leave the battery out overnight and back up and clear sd card. Maybe tomorrow you can get to fastboot USB again. I wouldn't get your hopes up though. Do you have insurance cause they may replace it for you (for a fee of course).

I was able to flash cwm, I used instructions from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1668173, but here are the catch 22's I ran into
1) I had to turn on the Developer options menu per a google doc says it's disabled by default in 4.2.2, one goes to settings, about tablet then tap build number 7 times, them I turned on usb debug.
2) There was never any usb icon, after booting via power button + vol down, it says in small print something about starting fastboot ....., at this point I attached usb cable did fastboot devices and I got the serial num back
3) I just followed the other instructions, in the link posted above.
However, cwm does not work it boots into fine, but I get errors that say can't mount /cache/recovery/command, /cache/recovery/log several others, in addition any access to internal or external sd cards gives me can't mount /sdcare/ can't mount /emmc/, I'm stuck here. Going to try maybe a update cwm if there is one or maybe twrp, guessing at this point.
I did find this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1850180, put it refers to 4.1.1 blob so I'm not sure what to do next. So far I've not found downloadable 4.2.1, from asus website
Hope someone has some ideas ???
One more note after update to 4.2.1 mine via ota, the hdmi out does not work correctly, resolution is stuck at 420p, and there have been reports of audio not working, so far assus just says factory reset. So I'm trying to flash cm 10.1 rom so i'm stuck at this point.
It's a shame how difficult it is to root this device after you've upgraded your firmware. It's a great tablet but the bloatware is really slowing it down.

fastboot says "fastboot usb" but Adb devices and fastboot devices show nothing. whats happening is that even if i choose to power down in the fastboot menu on the phone, it will boot back up on its own, into the bootloader. I am able to boot to the OS if i am lucky by hard powering off (holding the power button), then letting go of the power button, and at a precise moment pressing the power button.
I've had the same problem, what i did was put my pc a few weeks back using recovery points. Then i was able to use fastboot again. After that flash a stock boot.img trough fastboot. My phone started up again.
