First try ti boot to recovery, by holding vol up, home and power button. Then let go of power button only when phone has booted. Factory reset and reboot. If it doesn't boot re flash, there are a few of them out there, one is even a sticky.

what exactly were you updating your phone with?
if you want to do a factory reset, shut down your phone, then try holding your "turn on/off button" + "volume up" + "home button". Once you did that you are in recovery mode, there hit factory reset. However this will result in a loss of data.

So you were doing an over-the-air update from your carrier, when it failed at the very last stage?

no worries! if you can see Samsung logo just leave battery, wait 20 seconds, put buttery back. hold vol up button+ home button + power, wait for galaxy note 2 logo and blink 2 times and leave all buttons. now you will enter in recovery, wipe everything and reflash back custom rom.
good luck!

No offense intended, but Toolkits prevent users from learning anything about your phone. If something goes wrong they are stuck and in most cases do not know how to solve it, as clearly stated in your quote [sorry i cant help you if you dont use the toolkit]. Just my 2 cents

I had the exact same problem today at work, had to wait 'till I got home. When you say stuck at the bootloader do you mean the green android guy in Download mode or the Samsung logo?
I did what you did, connected to odin, flashed a pre-rooted stock ROM and it's back to normal. Did you change any of the settings in Odin?

The problem is that the i instaleted some rom from cwm premium, and it seams that rom wasn't right, and now i can't do anything. When i turn on phone it goes on recovery mode but its modifited. it looks like resolution bigger than it should be. I don't know how to connecti it with odin cuz the moment when "volume up" part comes do not exist, it goes directly on recovery and odin can't find it. Pls help somehow if u can. I need my phone fast . Ty

i went through this before. Try this. Download the stock rom and put it in your external sd card. then when your phone is in recovery mode, perform
wipe data/factory reset. after that, flash the stock rom. is the cwm still there in the phone. might be bcs of your cwm tho. i onced fixed a galaxy ace + that had the same problem bcs its installed with wrong version of cwm.

Assuming you are rooted and have a custom recovery installed and know how to flash ROMs(how else would you brick your phone?), try doing a full wipe(factory reset) from recovery(Vol Up+Home+Power), then flash a working ROM...
If that doesn't fix it, try going back to stock as suggested.
Did you fix this issue??
Actually I also had this problem and the only fix was reflashing stock firmware..using odin
good luck :good:
I think i flashed wrong recovery. I tried the hardware recovery buttons. It hangs and stuck at start up. Then I tried using only power button, again stuck. There is a red exclamation sign (!) on the top left corner..
